Natalie, I just found your channel! Let me tell you… your tutorials on the basics are worth their weight and gold. I started ballet at 17, and I danced until I was about 25. I’m just going back to it now. I realize now how much I do not know… Because I was not taught. Having you to coach, the small details is making me feel so much more confident, and more self-assured We all want to improve in ballet! Even as adults! Please make more videos! More and more and more! I can’t get enough of the basics and the details. The tiny movements that make ballet look like ballet! ❤
Thank you so much! I started ballet 3 months ago, and every single time my teacher corrects my cambré, and not until I saw this video do I now know how to do it!! The lifting part you said made a WHOLE difference. 😍👏👍
mega good. Thank you for doing this. It brings benefit to review the material. I have forwarded to my teacher to share with all students. You'll get more hits later... Cheers!
Hello ! What are the body muscles that I need to develop flexibility in ballet ? ( Can you please list some muscles that I need to develop flexibility in ballet ? )
Hi Natalie, I really enjoy your videos! I was wondering if you were still thinking about doing a video on your master's thesis on dance history? I would be really interested to see that!
What do you mean when you say, “keep your abs engaged?” Because I hear that all the time in any type of dance and I have no idea what to do. Is it like squeezing your abs the entire time you dance? Because then I can’t breathe haha
Yes, that's exactly what it means. You need to learn to isolate the different regions of your abdominals so you can still engage the lower and mid abdomen while still being able to breathe :)
@@NatalieDanzaBallet My back just doesn't flex like that on the backwards cambré, immediately my head feels heavy and my pelvis tilts forward, I tried doing abs, stretching on the floor planks, I have strong core muscles but still don't find the comfortable position to do it, do you have any advice?

Love your focus on technique and correct posture. I've seen a few instructions on this, and yours breaks it down into steps and is very clear!
Thank you so much ☺️
Excellent!
Your explanation is so clear.
Thanks!

Natalie Danza thank you so much!!!
This video was really helpful thank you!!
But my stomach keeps coming out when I do back cambre, what should I do?
Keep your abdominal muscles engaged and don’t go as low in your cambré until you have strengthened your lower back, glutes and abs ☺️
Can anyone explain why my eyes black out after circular port de bra? Occasionally cambré back as well
Thank you so much!
Pleasure Madeline! :)
Thank youuu
Very graceful. How tall are you?
168cm
I think in yoga it's called uttanasana but you bring your head to your legs.
But how do u breath when u do beckbend u know like when I tried to do it I always struggle with breathing
Breathe in just before and breathe out during the backbend :)
What about an „outfit of the tutorial“?
Most of my ballet hauls and ballet outfit videos are on my other youtube channel - Natalie Danza :)
Thank u so much But u have to show the movement after explaining
Thank you so much!
Thanks :)
