I'm happy my dad has the resmed 11 ! It's been a life changer for him! His sleep apnea was so bad that he was nodding off by the middle of the day and ever since getting his resmed he is full of energy again and responding well to therapy! It's a blessing seeing him get his quality of life back.

I just started watching this channel and have benefitted greatly from the information provided. I have been using the Resmed 10 CPAP for about 6 years and just switched to the 11. My big problem is that I have been experiencing earaches for about 8 months. These episodes included dizziness and a bout with Bell's Palsy. Since I didn't know this problem could be caused by the CPAP, I went to my ENT, who treated me with antibiotics, which helped a little until treatment ended. The only time I had relief was during the period when I was waiting for my new CPAP and was not using the old one. My Pulmonologist refused to lower the pressure on my old CPAP when I complained that it was so high it was literally blowing the mask off of my face. With Nick's guidance, I have been able to lower the pressure a bit and still get good therapy results; however, my ears are still bothering me on a daily basis. Any help on this would be gratefully welcomed. Thanks!

I had a Phillips for a trial but insisted on getting the Resmed when it came time to buy a machine. Even though it was more expensive, I'm glad I got it.
I was swinging which way to go, Resmed or the German-made machine (need more airflow). After this, I'd prefer to distance myself from this guy. He's a classic intelligent person who thinks he's right and all others are wrong until proven right. The problem with people like this is they miss their own bias in analysing any contradicting data. It can become useless to try and introduce a conflicting point of view. Must be a joy to work with.

Even if it's not caused by people, we have to do what ever we can to reverse it, without a doubt. I don't like EV's either but there are other transport options that are better for the environment. Walk, ride a bike, buy extremely fuel efficient cars. He seemed so very selfish. I don't want to buy another Resmed ever again.

Hardly any accountability for large corporations, massive inequalities, no bargaining powers for working people, inaccessible healthcare, and the list goes on. I removed the foam both from brand-new Dreamstation 1 and Dreamstation Go, and think either is a better machine than the current Resmeds. Others can say what they please, of course.

The comment about ice cores is not correct. The oldest cores which come from Antarctica are about 800,000 years old. I am sure the speaker is a good business man and knows his business inside and out. He is not a climate scientist. Those experts agree we are changing our planets temperature faster than it ever has happen in the past except when the asteroid hit the earth killing off the Dinosaurs. I think if we had developed sleephq prior to the Philips recall then we would likely be a part of ResMed now as we have the perfect solution to their cellular modem issues which is a big deal for health insurance reimbursement etc. They don't really need us now though so i doubt they will come knocking

My AirSense11 is 3 days old and I had so many complaints after 2 nights I had to bribe my CRNP (one of those expensive workers who make this guy's success possible) with coffee and a muffin to listen to my complaints. But hey, I get innovations like needing to light up the room to see the display (My grandmother's analog RCA Color TV had a brightness control and never caught on fire.) And solid green for standby-mode indication? Now THAT's thinking outside the box.
No matter what brand, straps across my upper cheeks cause my eyes to swell. I use fisher paykel vitera with no upper straps, but I want to try fisher paykel simplus. I still use the resmed cpap machine though.
I littery have a Luna G3 Series in the cart. Which is better the ResMed 10 or the Luna G3 Series? I now notice that the ResMed 10 is made in Australia. The Luna G3 Series is made in China. I live in the USA and ResMed is everywhere so parts and filters are easy to find. I'm currently using a Dreamstation 2 and insurance won't replace it until 2026. Although a house fire or smoke asphyxia might happen at any time...
If you look around you can pick up a ResMed AirSense 10 Card-to-Cloud which is compatible with SleepHQ for around $500 which is incredible value for money and a great device. Cheers

omg.. Philips did the same thing to Imaging. All the eggs in one basket. Bought the best companies, then Philips (usually GE lemons) takes over and everything they touch goes to sheetttt. Nuc Med and CT... sounds just like this guys story. other companies took nearly 40% market in imaging after Philips buys the #1 companies and boom...destroys them. They sold off lighting, and retail electronics.. it looks like Kmart. It should be way to big to fail.. but it fails from internally.
Hey Nick- wondering about the Sleep HQ cybersecurity protocols. I've been told the machine data upload is encrypted (Canada). However, if I manually upload to Sleep HQ, it's not encrypted. Newbie to CPAP. Starting with Oscar software which has local storage. My data could get hacked on Sleep HQ. Maybe you could do a short general video on that aspect of Sleep HQ. THX!! Hey mate, a few things on this. Whenever you have data on the net, no matter what it is or who it is stored with (ResMed, Your Bank, The Goverment) there's always a chance of a database breach. That's fact! That being said, here's our privacy policy with information about our security and privacy. It's no different to ResMed which has over 20,000,000 people using my air. Unlike ResMed however we only take the bare essentials to create an account like name and email anyway if anyone paranoid about that then just make up a new gmail account and use a fake name. We're not doing personal I.D. etc checks etc. If you're still uncomfortable with that, use OSCAR.

Health data has higher standards- encryption, internal access restriction, etc. You have a high duty of care taking in such comprehensive health data. Great that Adam has background. What is it?Certifications, etc. Who else? What industry standards are you compliant with? Do you have periodic audits and PEN testing? Preventative and breach handling policies/process/procedures need to be designed into your product and business. Are these in place? Given the sensitive nature, I think more specifics are needed than this general statement. I love your goal but data protection is serious and expensive.

1. Go to your local doctor practitioner explain your apnea, 2. they will refer you to a sleep apnea specialist doctor for a test. After you do your test, at home or hospital. 3. you will be sent to a private Cpap testing clinic, to trial the maschine at home for 4 weeks. 4. After that you will be given the right pressure settings & mask fitting . İt does takes some time to get used to. İt took me 1 month exactly so glad.

When is Resmed going to "integrate" add pulse oximetry to their Resmed 11? This way the "catching" of apneas and hypopneas will be quicker and provide the patient with virtually no or limited desaturations. Hopefully a company in China will make one with a pulse ox that will be not depend on cagey algorithms. A.I. will just hardwire all the imperfect algorithms into the bedroom.

Edward fwiw after dozens of masks (nasal types) and terrible leak rates I tried 3 ff masks. The third was the Evora. I'm a side sleeper and now have zero leaks, it's a fantastic mask and really comfortable with less marks on my face than any of the others. Love this mask.

The dude even takes responsibility for the situation. He push for things to be done quickly, it backfired, and they quickly did a recall. I take that to mean that he obviously cares about consumers safety. You can’t blame the guys for caring about money! Who doesn’t want more money.

The comment about ice cores is not correct. The oldest cores which come from Antarctica are about 800,000 years old. I am sure the speaker is a good business man and knows his business inside and out. He is not a climate scientist. Those experts agree we are changing our planets temperature faster than it ever has happen in the past except when the asteroid hit the earth killing off the Dinosaurs. Good lesson for me, stay in my expertise , depend on the real experts on other issues.

Typical business man really but he does have the research background which is a little different. Interesting point on the 'ol Nicko buyout' . I think if we had developed sleephq prior to the Philips recall then we would likely be a part of ResMed now as we have the perfect solution to their cellular modem issues which is a big deal for health insurance reimbursement etc. They don't really need us now though so i doubt they will come knocking

My AirSense11 is 3 days old and I had so many complaints after 2 nights I had to bribe my CRNP (one of those expensive workers who make this guy's success possible) with coffee and a muffin to listen to my complaints. But hey, I get innovations like needing to light up the room to see the display (My grandmother's analog RCA Color TV had a brightness control and never caught on fire.) And solid green for standby-mode indication? Now THAT's thinking outside the box.
No matter what brand, straps across my upper cheeks cause my eyes to swell. I use fisher paykel vitera with no upper straps, but I want to try fisher paykel simplus. I still use the resmed cpap machine though.
I littery have a Luna G3 Series in the cart. Which is better the ResMed 10 or the Luna G3 Series? I now notice that the ResMed 10 is made in Australia. The Luna G3 Series is made in China. I live in the USA and ResMed is everywhere so parts and filters are easy to find. I'm currently using a Dreamstation 2 and insurance won't replace it until 2026. Although a house fire or smoke asphyxia might happen at any time...
If you look around you can pick up a ResMed AirSense 10 Card-to-Cloud which is compatible with SleepHQ for around $500 which is incredible value for money and a great device. Cheers

omg.. Philips did the same thing to Imaging. All the eggs in one basket. Bought the best companies, then Philips (usually GE lemons) takes over and everything they touch goes to sheetttt. Nuc Med and CT... sounds just like this guys story. other companies took nearly 40% market in imaging after Philips buys the #1 companies and boom...destroys them. They sold off lighting, and retail electronics.. it looks like Kmart. It should be way to big to fail.. but it fails from internally.
Hey Nick- wondering about the Sleep HQ cybersecurity protocols. I've been told the machine data upload is encrypted (Canada). However, if I manually upload to Sleep HQ, it's not encrypted. Newbie to CPAP. Starting with Oscar software which has local storage. My data could get hacked on Sleep HQ. Maybe you could do a short general video on that aspect of Sleep HQ. THX!!

Hey mate, a few things on this. Whenever you have data on the net, no matter what it is or who it is stored with (ResMed, Your Bank, The Goverment) there's always a chance of a database breach. That's fact! That being said, here's our privacy policy with information about our security and privacy. It's no different to ResMed which has over 20,000,000 people using my air. Unlike ResMed however we only take the bare essentials to create an account like name and email anyway if anyone paranoid about that then just make up a new gmail account and use a fake name. We're not doing personal I.D. etc checks etc. If you're still uncomfortable with that, use OSCAR.

Health data has higher standards- encryption, internal access restriction, etc. You have a high duty of care taking in such comprehensive health data. Great that Adam has background. What is it?Certifications, etc. Who else? What industry standards are you compliant with? Do you have periodic audits and PEN testing? Preventative and breach handling policies/process/procedures need to be designed into your product and business. Are these in place? Given the sensitive nature, I think more specifics are needed than this general statement. I love your goal but data protection is serious and expensive.

1. Go to your local doctor practitioner explain your apnea,
2. they will refer you to a sleep apnea specialist doctor for a test. After you do your test, at home or hospital.
3. you will be sent to a private Cpap testing clinic, to trial the maschine at home for 4 weeks.
4. After that you will be given the right pressure settings & mask fitting . İt does takes some time to get used to. İt took me 1 month exactly so glad.
It was entertaining right up to the point when he made his completely unscientific statements on the climate crisis.
If the rest of his statements are only half as wrong - never again Resmed.
But then again - what can you expect from a Trump supporter.

No, no, no…all this industry EVER FOCUSES ON IS HOW MUCH MONEY companies can make. I’ve battled unsuccessfully with cpap for 7 years, you come up with this wonderous new machine WHICH AS A PENSIONER I CANT AFFORD. Even if I could afford it then there’s the on going industry of VASTLY overpriced masks etc.
Like many people reading your vlogs private health insurance, retirement funds were never to be an outcome in my life.
Here’s a thought : so to this bloke doing the blog you’ve presented having made his millions (good on him), how about providing subsidised machines for people genuinely are in need of this equipment?

When is Resmed going to "integrate" add pulse oximetry to their Resmed 11? This way the "catching" of apneas and hypopneas will be quicker and provide the patient with virtually no or limited desaturations. Hopefully a company in China will make one with a pulse ox that will be not depend on cagey algorithms. A.I. will just hardwire all the imperfect algorithms into the bedroom.

Edward fwiw after dozens of masks (nasal types) and terrible leak rates I tried 3 ff masks. The third was the Evora. I'm a side sleeper and now have zero leaks, it's a fantastic mask and really comfortable with less marks on my face than any of the others. Love this mask.

LOVE this ResMed man! I got a lot of laughs when he talked about our USA idiots in government, especially about Clinton 😂 and climate change. It was really refreshing to hear a wealthy person NOT embracing all that crap that the like of Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos want to force us to believe.
