    After 350 rounds on the first day at the range I would definitely suggest trying the grease. I had NO malfunctions. Ran perfectly. About 100 rounds was super cheap reloaded ammo the was brass and aluminum cases mixed in. The clouds that were coming out where HUGE and my P365 is incredibly dirty now. I really hope you will give it a shot, I think you will be happily surprised with the results! I ran federal range ammo, Winchester white box and ultramax bulk ammo(this was the nasty stuff that stopped a LC9, M&P9, and a Glock 19c but ran PERFECTLY in the Sig).

      Jay Beckerich I really like it so far! Only put 60 rounds thru it and No issues of any kind so far. Winchester white box 115 grain JHP and Sig 124 grain V crown hollow points. Nice trigger. Ergonomics are great. Very shootable, quick easy follow up shots. Love the sights. Slide locked back every time it was supposed to. As long as it continues to perform like it did yesterday then I'm a happy guy. Although I paid a little more than I would have liked to, I didn't have to order it and wait. So far so good! Can't wait to get a holster

    I also see a fair amount of wear on the left side of chamber , and slide hood. Then again, most of my Sigs wear a lot and fast (except the 320's). BTW Glock gen 5's wear a LOT, too.

    • @jaybeckerich4900
      @jaybeckerich4900  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yea there is some wear, My glocks seem to do the same over time. I am not too concerned about it.

    • @frankhellman6879
      @frankhellman6879 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noticeable, but not the head-banging mashing that Harry's Holsters showed on his. For the money Sig's asking, I'd like to see less wear (perhaps a better or thicker coating?), but I don't know how much lube was on the chamber and inside the slide for those 500 rounds.
      Most impressive is that it's going into battery consistently. I'd love to see that on some other people's reviews coming up. I can wait a little while. Thanks for being our beta tester, Jay. :)

    I put about 100 rounds over the weekend. No problems. I shot 124 gr American Eagle, 124 gr Fiocchi, 124 TMJ Lawman, 115 gr Blazer Brass...My P365 ate all of them without a problem. I shot a little hi at 10 yards. I believe I need to work more on the recoil control. I am very happy with my pistol.

    After first time disassembly and assembley while performing the function check, pulling the trigger I hear more of a thud than a click is that normal for this gun? Please reply, thanks.

    Looking forward to your next range time report. Hope you retry the 115 grain with your new grip to see if the 365 is a ammo sensitive..... It is beginning to look like this gun needs a very firm grip and absolutely no pressure on any part of the slide while firing..... Will be watching... .......... .. .............

    Hey Jay, I have a question for you man. I am a G43 owner like you and I was just wondering why you had a desire to switch over to the P365? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge sig lover and personally own 4 of them. I bought the G43 because I loved how it felt, but ended up spending almost the cost of the gun itself tweaking it to my liking. Your thoughts between the two handguns?

    • @jaybeckerich4900
      @jaybeckerich4900  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if you already have it set up how you like it, you can definitely keep that as your EDC! I personally like the 3 extra rounds (I use a +1 base plate, so 7+1) If this sig keeps up with no malfunctions AND if I can get a comfortable holster for it I will be switching over to the Sig. I want to see how much the 12 round magazine adds to the length, if that is not too much I think it would be a no brainer for me.5 more rounds? Id love that. Dont get me wrong, I am not selling the G43, and may still carry it from time to time, it does have a different feel.

      I'm doing something similar - I carry a Kahr MK9 (7+1) - If I can have that same package size with 3 more rounds with less weight in a reliable P365, I'm sold. Thanks for your reviews Jay - you seem like a real mellow cool dude!

      Jay Beckerich The blackpoint tactical holster by Sig is awesome! The retention is great and there no printing whatsoever with the concealment claw. I know Harry's holster also make options for it now too.www.harrysholsters.com/collections www.sigsauer.com/store/sig-sauer-p365-appendix-carry-holster.html

    In my opinion, you actually have quite a bit of barrel and slide wear already. I know you’ve put several hundred rounds through it but the wear seems a little excessive. Glad it was a good range day for you

    • @jaybeckerich4900
      @jaybeckerich4900  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea there is some wear, especially on the left side.

    • @bikeracerdude
      @bikeracerdude 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jay,
      Don't worry about excessive wear- looks about right to me. Light grease on metal to metal, and oil on pivot points and springs, and you'll be GTG.

      Mike Cook www.ammospy.net will help you find the best deals on ammo out there... I was going to give Freedom Ammunitions a try until I read some bad reviews, and then I decided that I don't want to take a chance of one of my handguns blowing up on me, BECAUSE OF IMPROPERLY PRODUCED AMMUNITION!
      If you DIDN'T adjust your grip, then you can bet your sweet ass that it wasn't the ammo; it had to do with how much energy was created. Smaller bullet + less gun powder*
