Do you have a pair of the Hermès Oran sandals and if so, in which colour? 🎨 I've also found some affordable dupes as alternatives for these sandals and have linked them in the description box! 🧡 I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below, so please let me know what you think of the Oran sandals! 🙏 Happy Tuesday everyone, hope you have a great week ahead 😘
I have been following you for a year now and it’s a genuine appreciation 🌹😻you might miss this comment but seriously there’s something about you that I couldn’t stop from commenting. Your style is so unique and charming. The confidence you have , your choice of work the way you present yourself is so addicting and amazing 🤩 I feel so happy and positive vibes from you and thank you so much for being you 🌹❤️lots of love and power to you always 🌸🙏🏻♥️♥️😍
Leather out-soles can be super-slippery, too, even on dry pavement, I’ve had several bad slips and falls in shoes with them. I agree, get the protective outer soles on as soon as you’re sure you’re going to keep them, (I test them at home for a few days for comfort). Even very slight damage to the original sole can be a problem, it’s best to jot wear them outdoors until the extra soles are added. I also spray all light-to-medium colored shoes all over with two light coats of protective spray, even the insoles, which will otherwise get dirty over time. The dirt gets in as we walk, it’s tough to avoid altogether, but I like to wipe them out with a barely damp cloth after wear. Thanks so much for your review.
Hi Kimberly, you're totally right, leather outsides are slippery! I've slipped with them too... also like you, I test them at home before wearing out and getting the protective soles added. It makes such a difference especially as I seem to scuff the front and tips of my shoes so much. So I know that adding these really protects and prolongs the wear of the shoes! Also love your recommendation about the protective spray - I have some at home but must admit I don't always use it 🙈 Thanks heaps for sharing your thoughts and experience here, very valuable ❤
Beautiful sandals, I personally look out for sizing and comfort first in all shoes kinds. If it fits right and comfortable I'm instantly pleased after the first try on. So happy to watch you share all the details, very important. Thank you dear, love your sandals😊❤❤❤
Thanks Sephora for sharing your thoughts on these! 🙏 I believe you have the right approach with footwear...I didn't choose mindfully with mine when I was younger so that's why I think I have some problems now
Those shoes are simply too expensive to have to go to a cobbler and get an extra protective sole grips. They should come that way ALREADY. I do love the aesthetics of the shoe, however. 🌺
These are out of budget for me, but I did buy some similar ones in good leather, they just lack the beautiful white stitching. There is one advantage to that, though, they are easier to polish, no need to work around contrast stitching.
Contrast stitching can be tricky with polishing - glad to hear you added some lovely leather sandals to your shoe-drobe, you'll be ready for summer which isn't too far away!
Hi Lauren! Thank you for the video. Usually my flats are size 6 US and if i wear heels 6.5US. Since we have almost similar feet size, I was just wondering how did it feel when you tried the 36? Were you still able to fit in them just a little snug? I am looking to buying a pair of my own but torn between 36 and 36.5 and Hermes store is quite far from where I live. Your input would really help! Thank you!
Hi there, sorry for my late reply. I remember the size 36 felt a bit snug however in hindsight I could have purchased those as the size 36.5 leather has definitely stretched and softened over the years
If you stop wearing shoes that have tight toes and/or high heels, the excess bone of the bunion will be gradually re-absorbed, and it will disappear without treatment. I had bunions on both feet from decades of wearing “corporate office” shoes, I wore only 2” heels, but it was impossible to find shoes with roomy toe boxes in appropriate styles then. The “comfort shoes” available then weren’t comfortable and they were super-ugly and sweaty, with polyester padding, yuck. It took about 6-8 years, but my bunions did vanish, after I retired and didn’t need to wear shoes like that anymore. Also, have you tried Calla Shoes? They are apparently made for people with wider toes or bunions. I haven’t yet, but I intend to, I think they’re all genuine leather (I never wear plastic shoes).
Hi Kimberly, thanks so much for sharing your experience here, that's really helpful for me to hear... and gives me hope I might be able to avoid surgery in years to come! 🤞 It's hard with heels, especially when a lot are pointy or almond toe shaped... Interesting that you mentioned Calla as another person suggested this brand to me as well. Finding brands which make suitable shoes which are also aesthetically attractive has been a struggle for so many of us
Hi Lauren, does your bunion stick out of the gap? I worry it would ruin the look! Suffering from a bunion myself and it's just not pretty or comfortable finding cute sandals at all! Hoping to upscale my look with these sandals for this summer :)
Hi Lillie, it does stick out a tiny bit which actually makes it more comfortable than if it didn't! However it doesn't look prominent at all, I think if you have one these sandals are one of the best choices you could make - the H cut out will disguise the look of the bunion due to its placement. At least that's how I feel from wearing the Orans, compared to other sandals. Are you close to a Hermès store? If so, I'd suggest popping in to try on a pair. I have written a blog review on my website ( link is in the description box here) so I will try to update the blog post this weekend with some pics of me wearing the Oran's. Hope this helps! 😊
Lauren Grace Harding thank you for your advice and replying so quickly ! Would you also recommend sizing up due to our wider need for our bunions? Thanks again in advance
@@Lilyk17 hi Lillie, sorry I missed seeing your question 🙈 This is a tough one and I guess it would depend how large the bunion is. Mine is half a cm in terms of width and I didn't need to size up, my normal size worked for me 💯
@@LaurenGraceHarding This is great help! Planning to buy online and i need to be right with the size cause theres no turning back 😂 thank you i appreciate it ❤️
just imagine spending that much money and STILL needing the sole put on before wearing..How is a shoe an investment? Investments make you money..these wont grow in value.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙋♀️ I actually get protective sole grips put on the majority of my new shoes apart from sneakers, because doing this prolongs the life of the shoe and helps to maintain it's condition. From a different perspective, if someone is comfortable in spending that amount of money to purchase a pair of shoes, then spending an additional 4% of the overall cost may not be considered to be excessive, if the outcome means they will last longer. To your point about how is a shoe an "investment"...? Whilst I agree a shoe isn't an investment in the traditional "financial" sense (such as a house or shares or gold) a pair of classic shoes can be considered to be a style investment. Also a footwear/foot health investment e.g. if you have foot problems and find a very comfortable pair of shoes, compared to a cheap or poorly made pair of shoes. So "investment" can be perceived and interpreted in a variety of ways. I'm curious as to what made you choose to click on and watch my Oran sandals review video, were you interested in buying a pair of the Oran sandals?
