Crazy how AILD took a relatively simple metal core riff but always manage to build such a huge progression and solid groove to it, every time! I'm really feeling the solo is cut in half, hoping the album track has a longer one :)

I thank my boyfriend until today for showing me this band, it is one of the best in the genre. love of Brazil.
For me it's a "Parallels" meets "Nothing Left" meets "Sound Of Truth" but faster. And it's fucking amazing hearing basicly the old stuff but in slightly newer form. Same, but new, but still same. And you could just close your eyes, hear the first riff, and you can surely tell it's AILD. That's amazing that they can still play this oldschool stuff and you never get tierd of it.
I know this is an old video but I love going back and watching people react to them. Definitely one of my all time favorite bands, and I finally talked my wife into going to see them live with me when they come to Charlotte in June of this year!

My heart fell out my ass when Jordon rolled on the floor toms before the solo busted out. That part kills me, it's so tasty.
I feel that chorus imparting such strength unto my soul. Classic old school guitar work. This is my favorite song yet, even if the others have had a bit more going on.

I remember being a teenager discovering 94 hours and instantly they became my favorite band. Early 2000's was the golden years

So fucking nostalgic dude, they really execute 2000's metalcore so well even today
The music video he watched added 51 seconds to the song with that (hype as fuck) intro. The single version of this track is 3:22. They could have extended the solo, but I'm glad they didn't. Hipa's solos are a good fit for AILD's music, but they are mostly wankage that should not extend beyond the purpose they need to fulfill.
I'd like to see him do some longer, more thoughtful and more memorable guitar solos, because he definitely shows the skills and talent needed to do them. Oli Herbert showed how this genre can have epic guitar solos, like his masterpiece solo in The Air That I Breathe.

It always seems like AILD solos are short, but I think that is why I always remember them. To this day, I think their best one is from the song "Paralyzed". It's not that it is overly complicated or fast; its melodically synonymous to the song and therefore memorable.

AILD solos are pretty much always short. Prefer em not dragging it out making it ott like other bands. Deffo has that old school feel though
Theyve never had the longest solos but still, this one did feel way too short. Even for them

Nick Nocturnal - Luke Holland - Jason Richardson collab jam-sesh (turn into band).
Josh has done a lot of work on his voice. Saw them live last March and dude was flawless. Was a great show all around. But with that said Phinehas was definitely best band that night. Everything was just so tight for them from sound to flawless playing. AILD was almost too loud believe it or not

When you do these reaction videos you should also touch on the lyrical content. The lyrics are part of the vocalists instrument and just as important as the voicing of the riffs and other instruments.

Whenever i hear a As I Lay Dying Solo begin, i am like "hell yeah, lets go..." and as i finish saying it, it's already over.
That is sush a shame, that they cut the awesome solos in the new Album songs so short, because clearly they CAN play solos like the devil himself.
But other than the short solos (and cmon, i am glad, that they even have some in there) this album is gonna kill it.

Definitely made me feel like I was back years ago listening to the band. Love the vibe of this song. Second solo needed to be longer. All in all, brilliant song. Cannot wait for the full album.

What I enjoy about your reaction videos out of everyone else's is that you seem completely genuine about your emotions and how they fluctuate throughout a song. Your little insights don't interrupt the flow of the song and I can tell you being a pure musician that you can respect a piece of artistry when you hear/see it. Keep up the good work!

So glad to see AILD back in full swing. I'll never forget when I saw them here in AZ, Tim brought his family to the stage and it was a really amazing experience. That's the side of Tim I always thought of during all the drama, and I never stopped doubting that AILD could make a comeback. You can really feel the pure and powerful energy they're exuding. 👊

Am I the only one that absolutely LOVES their main vocalist but doesn't really enjoy their verse vocalist? I don't hate those types of voices, I like the way Corey Taylor does it, but their main vocalist is SO fucking good I just wanna hear only him sing lol. Also I am not a native english speaker and I cannot decipher anything besides the chorus.
Radius 144p I cannot stand clean vocalists in metalcore bands normally, but I think Josh from AILD is a good exception. He isn’t overly high pitched and annoying like the rest of them. I think sounds more like Steve from Wolves at the Gate nowadays, who in my opinion is the perfect standard for clean vocals, he compliments the band so well.
The main vocalist is the verse vocalist, Tim. His screams and growls adds the intensity to match with the heavy riffs and drumming. If it was just clean vocals, it wouldnt feel right.
@@JCFlyingV98 Valis Ablaze is a good example of clean vocals done right imo, in the sense that it adds intensity while still being melodic, instead of just pop singing. Though they aren't exactly heavy, they do it right (same goes for Time, The Valuator).

I would say Slaughter to Prevail, Fit For An Autopsy, Thy Art Is Murder, I Prevail, Wage War, Villain of the Story, Currents, Sirens & Sailors, Bury Tomorrow, Chelsea Grin, Make Them Suffer, Gideon, Spite, Oceans Ate Alaska, Betraying the Martyrs, War of Ages, Infant Annihilator, Rings of Saturn, Killswitch Engage, The Devil Wears Prada, Signs of the Swarm, Sold Soul, Starset, Void of Vision, Northlane.. The list goes on. Breaking Benjamin is my all time favorite along with RED and BMTH. BMTH I still love, but they took a direction I’m not into, so as of now it’s BB, RED, and Wage War. 👍🏼
