He said American Motor Sports is a zero skipper (which is rare for any album) and you know what? He DID NOT LIE! Fantastic album that I've been listening to on repeat.
YESSSS dude, shit you not! I was checking all what came out in Metal that week after my drive home from work one day while I was working at a store that was out of town, it was like an hour and some change back home, and I found AMS that just released and I picked it immediately. I straight BLARED that bitch the whole ride home, and man, all the feels, I haven’t done that in so so fuckin long. That whole album is sincerely worth listening to and is such a vibe. Incredibly well done. ❤
@drifter61 Even after adding 4 MORE tracks it's STILL a zero skipper and now they're some of the best songs on the album! Not even joking, my 2024 album of the year hands down.
can't believe I'm about to spend 70 bucks and drive 3 hours to see bil fucking muri while 90% of the crowd is there for sleep token wondering wtf is happening
You can tell Johnny is such a good, genuine person. I think the unspoken reason for Bilmuri's success is because of how genuine, caring and lovable of a human is making this music. That is ridiculously appealing in a music industry that is overrun by plants and disingenuous assholes. Love Muri, love Johnny
As a Country American, I can confirm that there are plenty of country metal heads. It usually sucks for us though cause every show is at least an hour away. Metalcore and Post Hardcore are easily 2 of the most liked genres around here.
I’m from Alabama but we have some kind of show playing damn near every other weekend in Birmingham. Bilmuri will be here in sept and I See Stars/Attack Attack play here in July.
Love Johnny. So crazy to think I was just sitting in a garage with him and his buddies while they jammed early bilmuri stuff literally just for fun. I think they were considering some small gig somewhere just to play live together as friends. From that to an arena show is literally mind blowing. Infinite props to John boy Franklin and his team.
I absolutely love Johnny, he's come so far and Bilmuri is just honestly so special, they just do something that no other band does or can.....he's just insanely good and can't be stopped! I hope he blends genres like he did with country, in the future and hopefully gets his dad featured on a track! His dad plays banjo in a band btw, for those who didn't know....they jammed together on the 24 hour Livestream when goblin hours released, sadly the stream wasn't recorded or archived so it's lost to time ...but it was the best 24 hours I've ever witness and I had such a blast with all they did! Anyone else that reads this and watched too, please tell me you loved it too! Lol I LOVE this band no matter what they do! And Im about to see them tomorrow night!!!!! 8-14-24!!!! Can't friggin wait!!!
From Illinois here... and 11:13 made me laugh harder than I think I've laughed in years. Corn... surrounded by it totally get it and when Johnny said "in the Union" that made me laugh so hard I thought I was gonna pass out
I definitely think Bilmuri was a huge influence on the new Falling in Reverse song that just dropped today, country core with Jelly Roll, insane time to be a metal head, the year of country core
Cory from wage war, Hardy, and Johnny are all friends and Cody has helped produce and write a lot of Hardy’s country core stuff. Cody has also helped write on a lot of the more recent FIR songs! Though Billmuri might have had a little to do with it, Cody is the guy making the most waves behind the scenes with country core. Fun fact corned yetis, the last part of the song is uncredited but it’s Hardy!
Country is trending right now it’s not just Bulmuri. Beyoncé, Post Malone, other huge artists are going country. Beartooth last year collaborated with a country artist and a lot of his songs sound country influenced. It’s just in right now.
I love this side of johnny. He's really innovating a new style/genre that's fucking amazing. I never thought I'd hear the kind of stuff he's been putting out
To tap on to Johnny’s statement about Nashville artists having people from the scene, Jelly Roll’s lead guitarist used to play with Sleeping With Sirens, one of Brantley Gilbert’s guitarist was the lead guitarist from Pillar, there’s a lot more but i can’t think of them right now
Omg the kei truck idea is genius. Then he can do a truck arc where he starts out with a tiny one and gets progressively bigger until he's in a f*cking monster truck.
I feel like most bands do this with a goal in mind. It feels like they are constantly seeking a bigger stage and a larger audience. With Bilmuri, I have always gotten the vibe that they are content and just having a good time, wherever they are. If they are playing small venues or big stadiums, they will bring the same energy and the vibe wont change. Love it.
I love both of you guys and what joy and energy yall bring to the scene, all the history and new yet familiar vibes keep this 1900 model heart pumping. Keep cranking that gator brother
i just can't fathom how his fan base isn't MASSIVE. The dude writes such catchy music that spans so many genres and consistently puts out banger after banger... I dunno how he does it! And on top of it, he's just a really nice, genuine guy. MURI NAYSHION for life, man!
Yeah, but to be fair he is getting 900k (closer & closer to a mil) listeners per month AND on top of that I feel like his fans are more dedicated than your average fan base
Notable midwestern man, how do I America? Bilmuri- "Corn" Also, should I bring my lawnmower to the Philly American Motor Tour show (either electric or gas)? And what's the best New Balance shoe for moshing? Lawndad Midwest-core is here to stay and I'm about it
Hardy is country blending metal and Johnny is metal blending country. Regardless, these 2 are absolutely changed the scene. Masterminds! Can't wait to see how these Bois change the game!!!
Dude I live and grew up in more rural parts of Washington State and I have loved metal and country since I was a kid in the 90s. I didn’t realize how much I needed the mash up of the two until Bilmuri
I completely agree. I was hoping the Sleep Token/Bilmuri tour was gonna come to the US but I'm stoked that they announced their headlining tour now :) seeing them in Philly in August
Ironically enough when he was on first for boutta Cashew is when TMBTE dropped and y’all listened to 3-4 songs and he loved the apparition on stream. Full circle so happy bilmuri getting the recognition now!
I was having a shitty day. But man I saw this on my feed and had to watch thank you so much guys for putting this together. So wholesome and you both are a great combo. Nothing but positive vibes. 😎🤘
ACOWBOYSHEAVYLOAD to me, was the first taste of the "yardcore/countrycore" sound from Bilmuri. I loved that shit as a florida boy who was both in a country band and a metalcore band. This current sound speaks to my soul. Emptyhanded is my favorite right now.
What if during the sleep token tour at the end of bilmuri’s opening for them Sleep token rides up on the stage on a lawnmower and bilmuri gets on it and rides off the stage then sleep token just starts playing without any explanation

Man what an EU tour? Sleep Token and Bilmuri. Both of my #1 artists the last 2 years. I hope Bilmuri keeps getting bigger. Johnny deserves all the success for his hard work.
I never thought I would be a fanboi for a musician like bilmuri but the music is just so good in every aspect. good recording quality? yes, amazing guitar tone? done, fun music for fun people? gotcha. likable solid human being. yup
This is 100% the best band I've found is years. I love it so much, it's perfect I also love that he mentioned Boots by Hardy, I had the same reaction when I heard that song, it has a great guitar drop in the chorus, and it sounds so good.
Got to see him at his show in Columbus and despite being depressed and almost not going to the show, ended up being one of the most fun shows I’ve been to. So happy he got to share a stage with Electric Callboy and Babymetal. Love him to death
it's interesting to hear about the impact of Warped Tour demonstrating to this day considering we've all grown up since then. it makes sense bc "emo" was nationwide. by then, the Warped Tour culture was more than just punk. I saw Flipper, The Adolescents, Less than Jake, Bad Religion as well as Senses Fail, I Set My Friends on Fire, and A Day to Remember; the year I went in 2009. Hi, I am from the Midwest and I can totally vouch with what he says! I live in Indiana and it’s definitely all corn cornfield everywhere. It’s insane and in the summertime you see corn stand people selling corn everywhere.
Johnny, just keep being your weird goofy funny self. Keep showing yourself breaking character. That is what we love. Life is a mix of serious, funny, hurt, and pleasure. So is your music and media the way you craft it. Funny videos, serious lyrics, and a balance of fun and serious in the soundscapes you create!
