lol same here lol on the same exact color gti lol in a video on here doing the same thing with a resonator delete. was pissed how underwhelming it was. so now I'm going downpipe and stage 2 ECU/TCU
Well, I try mine yesterday (IE DP) and couldn't make it under the car on ramps. You need to clear at least TWO feet under in order to remove that factory dp. So forget it,I'm paying 150.00 at the shop.
@@MeltingRubberZ28 my clutch started slipping as soon as I tuned mine, I installed a South bend stage 2 endurance clutch on mine, my gti is a 2015 model I think they upgraded the clutch on newer models I've seen a lot of people on vw forums with later models that haven't had any problems, also met a guy with a gli that had the apr stage 2 and he had no problems with his clutch, I guess depends on your luck and how you drove the car in it's braking period.
@@thebeastmedina interesting. I'll have to look into the options that are available for clutches. I put a monster stage 2 in my Camaro which is still a full faced clutch, and while the pedal was fairly heavy and the engagement was still pretty abrupt, it was reasonable. I've driven some puck style clutches and they definitely would make a daily driver a nuisance.
It did have a drone around 3000 rpm, no drone whenever cruising on the interstate on 6th gear, I haven't had any problems with vibrations. I did add vibrant resonator later on to get rid of the drone
@@thebeastmedina thanks mate. I have a catted downpipe incoming for my clubsport and I'm a little afraid it will get to much drone for my comfort hehe.
Marek Olszewski I love it, good quality, it fit perfect, looks good too, sounds great, its louder but not too loud, at highway speeds sounds just a little louder than sport mode, I did turn off the soundaktor, sound would get distorted and speaker would vibrate the dash, so far im pretty happy with it. Also you will get a check engine light, unless you go stage 2 flash or use a spacer on the o2 sensor.
thebeastmedina , and do you feel a power difference ? And is a o2 spacer necessary? , i will want to tune it to a stage 2 , so i know i will get a cell but when i tune it with the Cobb Accessport after it will get rid of it riggt man ?
Marek Olszewski I tuned mine to stage 2 when I changed the downpipe, so Im not sure if you will feel much of a power difference with out a tune. Once you tune the car you will feel the extra power it just turns the car into a beast, as far as the O2 sensor if you are tuning to stage 2 you dont need a spacer, the stage 2 tune will take care of the CEL. The spacer is only required if you are not planning in tuning the car.
thebeastmedina yes i plan on doing the stage 2 , do you notice it changed the sounds of the car? I plan on getting a catback also fpr it to be a full turboback exhaust system, also what tune did you use ?
Marek Olszewski the down pipe did change the sound of the exhaust (got video with stock and MAP downpipe), tunning the car din't make any sound changes. I used the Eurodyne software, currently running the stage 2 high torque 91oct map.
SEAN SCRATCH yes I did, I can't remember the code number but it was about the catalytic converter reading low or high, I ran the car like that for about 3 weeks then I tuned it to stage 2 with Eurodyne
about to do the same setup. happy with the result? did you have to change your spark plugs? APR tune requires so for a stage 2, can't find anything about eurodyne
sounds good, its loud on take offs and when in high rpms, at cruising speeds sounds close to stock, I ended adding a resonator to that straight piece of the pipe to cut down on an annoying drone i was getting around 2700-3100 rpm, its hard to explain how it sounds, i might have to just make a video from the inside of the car
Andrew Calvillo can't remember exactly I think it was about 3 hours, but that was by myself and recording, also had to go to the store to buy an Allen wrench
You can use it with any catback that's 2.5", I'm not sure about a 3" cat back, since the pipe reduces to 2.5" at the end, might need some modifications to go from 2.5 to 3, it would probably be a good idea to ask the guys at MAPerformance.
Next level award for getting thst thing out on ramps.
Sounds awesome! Thanks for the video.
Best instal video I’ve seen you make it less complicated then it needs to be
great removal vid, seem like the hard part. best vid i have seen to do this
you make it look easy, very good video
Heck godda love those 225/40Y18 Continental tires I have those and I love them might get toyo tires next time
lol same here lol on the same exact color gti lol in a video on here doing the same thing with a resonator delete. was pissed how underwhelming it was.
so now I'm going downpipe and stage 2 ECU/TCU
How did you see the mounting brackets so clearly? I have no visual of the second mounting bracket ?
I want this on my gti nowww 😍😍wonder what it would sound with a resonator delete
What is it with people deleting resonators... Pretty sure EE has a video explaining why they are a good thing.
@@Osprey1994 it opens up the sound to get the full note of the exhaust. Resonators are useless in other words.
Chris Gee not useless, they reduce drone
@@vclue846 they're useless. Loud or get the fuck out
Nice video bro 😎
What ramps are you using the ramps I have are too high for my bumper cover

How do you get the decat engine mounting bracket off is it pretty straightforward 😂
how much power do downpipe increase? btwn nice vid
Top le bruit avec pot d’origine c’est le modèle de ta downpipe ?
moi je compte commander le cobra ainsi que le ligne aussi
Do you think this is doable with a one peace downpipe going back in,on the floor like you
You'd likely have to jack the front end up really high
Nice video. Do you have the performance pack LSD? Any drone on the highway?
Paul K thanks, no PP, it's just a base model with manual transmission, no drone at highway speeds
