      Yeah, that got me too. The consultants don’t own the company and didn’t build it! Yes, they have built their down lines/networks, but that’s not the same as starting and building a company.

    • @sharpestcookieinthetoolbox9742
      @sharpestcookieinthetoolbox9742 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +58

      Yeah, that gets me every time. I'm like, what's your business structure (sole proprietorship, LLC, S-corp, C-corp)? Do you have a business license? Do you have a reseller permit? Did you file the fictitious business name statement for (insert MLM name here)? Can you contact the manufacturer and place a direct order? No, not the person selling you product, but the actual factory where the product is made, that you toured before you signed the manufacture contracts. Do you own your product formulations?
      Except for a select few that actually paid attention to what I asked and got out, the majority dodge these basic retail business questions. Then they try to insult people who actually own a business by saying that we're doing everything the "hard" way and they're not. It's just really sad.

      I just can't believe that mlms exist anymore. Like, we all have access to the internet. There are so many affordable makeup brands that outperform these mlm brands by merely existing. What's going on with these people? I used to think I was below average intelligence, but I'm pretty sure I'm a genius compared to all these people who get sucked into this.
      Also, why do all people who buy into an mlm look the same?

    • @cindygr8ce
      @cindygr8ce 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      See I've done a few mlms and only ever joined for the free shit. I never recruited anyone but I've also never lost money. When I did party lite I got thousands of free candles and lost of the decor plus earned a little money. I did a home decor one in my early 20s and got my first pretty prints and knick nacks. I also sold Avon but honestly just to friends so I could get a discount. I've never really understood how so many lost money? Maybe I was just smart enough not to join one that requires you to keep inventory but handles all that for the seller

    • @eevee2411
      @eevee2411 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@icianthea If anything the internet made them worse because you can just message 100 people and one of them might go for it. They use literal cult tactics to recruit people by the way. Specifically choosing vulnerable people (stay at home women with disabled children who don't have many friends, people who just lost their job, people who just lost a loved one, etc.) and promising them a better life. They lovebomb too, you get added to a groupchat with super supportive women who are cheering on your every move and telling you how well you're doing (until you're actually in there).
      I can keep going but you get the deal. Honestly research has shown that intelligence doesn't really shield you from cults or mlms much, they prey on emotional vulnerability and even the smartest people get stuck in these things. Though it's also understandable for us to want to believe it could never be us.

    The entire reason we have an issue with MLMs is because it sells a dream to vulnerable people like moms who want to earn an income while staying at home with their kids. As you can see, that income is unreliable even if you do earn something substantial.
    My heart goes out to anyone who will be left financially vulnerable. I don't want anyone to go without food, housing, healthcare, etc. That's why we advocate AGAINST these companies and FOR better pay, benefits, and social support.

    It's sad that people are going to have their income affected without much notice, but in an MLM structure, about 99%(+) of them were *always* going to hit a wall and get financially screwed over by the structure at some point anyway. In this case, it's just happening to them simultaneously (with a chance to convert to a new structure), rather being screwed over financially happening to different individuals at different times.
    Arguably this is the best way I have ever heard of someone getting out of an MLM - everyone else who I've ever heard of coming out of an MLM has done so in debt.

      Avon is Avon, but they were like 'mlm lite'.
      You could buy from a rep or order from a catalogue or website, without anyone haunting you to sell or have promo parties or rep.
      They didn't have meetings or gatherings or anything and most reps never met or even knew the name of other reps.
      Most of the women selling Avon in the 80s, did it just for the discounts or free items, and the social aspect of delivering the orders, by hand, to other women's homes. Usually included (at the very least) some chit-chat and socializing and a way to get out of the house for a bit. They never did it for the money, because it was never marketed as a job or money maker. They were Avon ladies, and they did what ladies did (at that time).
      I had one friend who was an Avon lady and my grandmother (who was a nurse) was an Avon lady.
      The emphasis was always on 'lady'.
      Different time, different culturally.

Both are fake and I even have one former friend who admits it. She's now gone MAGA because it's easier socially, tells me a lot... Wow! That commission level should tell people how overpriced the products are.
    Also you’re a kinder person than me, IDGAF that those at the top of the tree are losing their income now they won’t have a down line, they reap what they sow.

    Robert lemme tell ya. This is all that my IG has been showing all week! So many girls I went to High-school with were in Seint and pretty high up as well. They have all been crying and upset over this change. But the plot twist is- most of them have already jumped into a new MLM!!

    This was hard to watch, not because of Robert but hearing the language MLMs and those involved in them use just really gives me the ick. I really hope that anyone negatively impacted by this change gets the chance to build themselves back up again (just even more hope it's not with another MLM) but they're actually being treated better than a regular employee would be. They've been given multiple months notice to find an alternative source of income if needed, most people are lucky to get 2 weeks.

    I'm not a doctor but I don't think your uterus have anything to do with makeup. I mean if they also removed her ovaries and sent her into menopause I guess her skin type may have changed but that's about it. She lost me at parasite cleanse though 🤦🏻‍♀
    Also I had to block the word Sient on IG because of how annoying the reps were. They definitely rank high on the MLM cult status list.

    MLM reps erroneously used their sales(aka recruiting) tactics as "affiliate marketing" for YEARS , and now this is actually the case. So yeah, "should" be "fine" for them 😅 since they're now affiliates

      What they are really doing is shedding their intestinal lining when they take “parasite cleansing” products, many wellness nut huns fall for it. They want to be all natural, but they will take fistfuls of unregulated supplements every day. 🤷‍♀️

      I agree. 25-45% sounds great-but what about product price? I’ve never looked up Seint prices (don’t really care to either) but I can’t imagine wanting to pay much of anything for a not great product when so many other better products exist. That aren’t part of a shitty pyramid scheme.

  • @littlereddstar5264

    That means:
    1) All the people in those “teams” are now pitted against each other. 2) We’re going to be seeing a flood of undisclosed ads from Seint “affiliates” on TikTok.
    3) Regarding the “it’s like any other affiliate link video” that in and of itself is troublesome. For me personally, as soon as I see ANYTHING that says “Amazon haul” or like 90% of the items they mentioned are affiliate links, I immediately disregard whatever the person says because I feel like I’m being sold to. That’s why I stopped watching one particular creator on TH-cam-Almost the entirety of her videos became “Amazon Haul” videos with new favorites every 2 weeks or every month. Same thing with Mikayla on TikTok. I REFUSE to watch her, anyone who stitches her or any brand that features her on their ads.

    I noticed a few MLM companies switching their MLM model off and changing to a model that just pays out for product sales. Obviously trying to avoid getting shut down by the FTC. The majority of MLM customers are the reps themselves so that is why they focus so much on recruiting. The more people below you, the more money you make off whoever they recruit. What the companies and top reps don’t want you to know is that the MLM model is majorly flawed. If you recruit 5 people and those people recruit 5 people each and so on, you can only make 13 cycles of that before you exceed the population of earth.
