Hoping it works out because Cloudburst gray paired with Acorn Interior is so pretty and hard to get on Ultra Luxury trim with Mark Levenson and LED beam lights. I dont like Macadamia its bound to get dirty and Palomino is just too bright orange and black is had that before on other cars so want something different.

Truly appreciate your attention to detail with the headlights. I wish my vehicle had cornering lights and headlights like these. Curious if the 2024 model ES has improved interior lighting. Thanks for the video. Can the infotainment screen’s brightness be turned down really low? I find it important to have low levels of instrument brightness.
My dream car Lexus ES300H 😍😍 Be aware ES made in the US does not have a matrix system similar to German makers in my region, we get Lexus made in Japan with a matrix system it has triple beams for low and high beams and the fourth beam for high beams only and it can dim individual cars on the road

Just traded my 2022 ES300h UL with 7,000 miles for a 2022 NX450h+. 3 days so far and am loving the NX 450h+. Plug-in is the better option for me. Loved my ES though. Classy with the lights. Wish they made the ES as a plug-in.
@@Gemini530 The ES was great, but the NX 450h+ plug-in is a way better fit for my driving needs. It’s winter and cold now where I am and I would have filled up already in the ES, but I’ve used Electric 98% of the time. It was hard to part with the ES, but the NX is the better choice for me. The only diff I noticed after I test drove the NX and getting back into the ES was the ES tames engine noise a little better due to the noise cancellation wall between the engine and cabin. Other than that the differences are minor. I drive in pure EV mode 98% of the time and the ES just couldn’t do that.
Imo you made a mistake going from an es to an nx. Tbh the nx is a downgrade. It’s cheap inside, noisy powertrains, small cargo space, poor legroom, gimmicky features, and it’s overpriced

A good, well spoken, thorough review, as usual. Well, thank Goodness at least the headlights are good🙄. Too, too bad about the other 90% of the car. I think you're being too generous regarding the trunk, approach, and interior lights. I love your car and am shopping for one now, but man! I'm glad you've shown me *how **_pathetic_** most of the accessory lights are!* Then I'll only be severely disappointed every time I'm using it at night, instead of being apoplectic. One of the 'luxurious' aspects of a luxury car is having *abundant, and even excessive lights **_everywhere_** at night.* The lack of lights here, their horrible, pathetic weakness when there is a light somewhere....these are borderline deal breakers. What was Lexus thinking?! These days it's all L.E.D., so there's no big draw on the electrical system, and areas like *the trunk **_should_** light up like a Hollywood stage* when you open the lid. I know nothing about how electrical modifications on central body processor computer modern cars work. *Can you get a shop to add about three dozen, actually useful lights everywhere?* Or does the car's computer not accept add-ons like that?
One last thing Mike, and I promise I’ll quit buggin’ you 😂…trying to decide between the ‘23 Lexus Es300h ultra luxury, or the new Toyota Crown Limited w advanced technology package. Have you tried the Crown yet, and which one would you choose? Thanks!

I just got a 2024 ES 350 mostly loaded base model. I really wanted the Luxury trim but you can't factory order the car you want. A couple items on the Luxury trim that you just can't get on the base trim. I agree the lighting except for the headlights suck. It's 2024 and the interior and puddle lighting are too dim even at max brightness. It's even hard to see the instrument display in bright sunlight (because of glare). The dome, map and ambient lighting is too dim as well as the trunk light. The only interior light that's half decent is the sunshade mirror lights. I can't tell you how many times I couldn't find the glove box button or the cup holders. They should be backlit. I hate black on black on black interiors.
I have a 2022 ES300h UL with the ML sound system. I love the car but agree they lighting is too dim. Particularly the LED trim lights. You can barely see them at night. It's a great car and the sound system makes for great driving but Lexus did miss some things.
I thought of getting an ES300h, but I went with the Camry hybrid XSE because I figured it was basically the same kind of car for $10k less. The Camry is pretty quiet, my previous car was a Cadillac CTS and the Camry might be just a touch louder in the interior on the freeway, I don't feel like I'm missing much. The JBL sound system is ass, though. It's utter garbage.
I have the 2022 ES300h premium. I think the HID's are awesome and it also has the cornering light feature. The only issues i have is the kick sensor for the trunk release is not reliable and you stand tthere kicking under your rear bumper looking like an idiot 😋 And the placent of the USB ports is so odd under a door butted up to the dash. And no usb's in the center armrests. And the soft pad where the door meets the window my elbow barely reaches the pad and is stuck half on the 90° angled fake wood that butts up to the pad. The wood takes up 60% of the door sill😐. But all in all its a fantastic car. I don't get what youre saying about noise in the cabin for its price point and other benefits. I think its really quiet most times. Above 60mph it can get a little wind and road noise . But partly due to the all season michelins. I was getting 50mpg's today for over 50 miles heading to Daytona. I love your thiorogh reviews and thank you for giving your opinions and qualifying youre reasoning of them with examples, and real world scenarios. I think tthe car looks awesome at night inside and out. It is a night car to me. As my other car is a 2018 Camaro 2SS 1LE with all the ambient lighting and lighted door sills and fun exterior LEDs and the glow tie. The subtle touches on the ES are just right for me. And its got a spare tire!!😎👍 Keep up the great reviews
Why? Don't compare them to the European brands that are now blatantly and intentionally giving us stupid, inferior red turn signals these days unlike how they used to be. Lexus has actually been offering LED amber turn signals in the rear where many others don't. I would only agree with this with some of their new models that give you such such tiny brake light segments

Why would you trade in an ES for an NX? The ES has a more luxurious, comfortable, and quiet ride. Also more spacious. I don't get it.
