Love these night reviews! Headlights are one of the biggest safety features in a car and I don't know why more reviewers don't discuss them, so thanks!
Turning the steering wheel left or right will activate a side LED head lamp to illuminate either side depending on whichever way car is turning...the respective lamp only turns on when either you turn steering wheel or use turn signal signal ...very cool feature
I have this car, the 350 one, Ultra Luxury, and I can verify that the side mirrors r auto dim, its just not aggressive as other brand/model. When the lights from vehicle behind is REALLY bright, thats when it kicks in, kinda make you feel natural as opposed to the green dimming. You have to drive it long enough to notice these subtle things. Thats what I like bout Lexus.
Hey thanks fir letting me know! I didn’t see anything on any of Lexus Information about dimming side mirrors and never noticed a difference while driving or an actual visible outline of the electrochroamatic function so that’s wild. Sorry I missed that. You’ve got yourself a nice car 👍
@@PrimeAutotainment Lexus puts a lot of hidden tech in the car, like the highway auto passing (when you have the turn signal to the left, the car automatically knows u want to pass and auto accelerate). Hey Aiden can you please tell me if the FWD is manageable? If you notice a diff between FWD and AWD? That’s my only issue with the car and I’m hoping the difference isn’t much for revalue everyday driving
Such a beautiful car. That color combo is definitely Lexus’ best. You’re right about the pearl white paint Lexus uses. That dip you’re mentioning toward the middle of the video, is meant to stop you from blinding drivers in front of you. Otherwise that would be perfectly lined up with where there driver rear view mirror is (in the US anyway). It’s something I’ve noticed many more cars are starting to do. It means they can have the rest of the light aimed higher without blinding anyone. That last part is debatable. Since automakers don’t have to comply with any aiming rules really. They simply have recommended guidelines. So you know many of them probably aim them a tad higher than they should be. The result is owners think they’re lights are just that tiny bit more amazing because they illuminate a bit further out In low beam mode. Still most are aimed well. I just notice that Nissan compared to most, aim their lights higher than anyone in the US Market.
That ambient lighting is beautiful. I don't think I'm the only one whos not a fan of those multi coloured ambient lights. I didn't know Lexus offered this until now. Awesome video. 👌 from a subscriber.

Use a flashlight to shine on your rearview mirror (simulating headlights shinning on your rearview mirror) and the side mirrors will automatically dim. It's the same on 2017 GS.
8:30 that light is used in a lot of cars. And only turns on when your headlights are on. The entire purpose is so it's a subtle way to see your shifter at night. It wasn't designed to provide esthetics lol, cause if you did need extra light to see you'd just use your dome lights.
great night review. Lexus really needs to do a lot more in terms of ambient lighting for their interiors. Mercedes puts them to shame, and those little light strips are cheap and easy to put in
I think it wasn't so much a cheapout here as Lexus/Toyota's natural conservatism. I can almost picture the committee meeting debate between the ones who insisted they had to have the feature the Germans have, vs. the ones who insisted they would distract the driver. Typical Japanese compromise outcome: Include them but make them so dim you needn't have bothered.

You can see Lexus specifications here: s3-us-east-2.amazonaws.com/lexus-cms-media/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2021-Lexus-ES-250-AWD-Specifications-FINAL.pdf
I’ve also seen that 16.7 cu ft measurement but Lexus says 13.9 cu ft across the board. I thought it was just because if AWD but even their 350 specs are listed the same. That would put it at smaller than a Honda Civic. Regardless even if it is the stated 13.9 it’s usable space and accommodates a lot of stuff
@@PrimeAutotainment The ES is based on the Avalon, not the Camry. I've checked every where else and it's 16.7 to 16.9 cubit feet.
Here's the dimensions from *Lexus* itself. www.lexus.com/models/ES/features
@@tropicalstorm339 I’m aware it’s based on the Avalon but that spec sheet I sent is strait from Lexus as well. Those are from the Lexus corporate media site...sent directly to media. Not sure why they show different numbers but every spec sheet across all models in their site shows the 13 number. Who knows...here is their media newsroom: pressroom.lexus.com/vehicle/2021-lexus-es/
@@PrimeAutotainment My brother has the ES 350 and his wife has the Camry XSE, both V6. The ES has bigger trunk than the Camry. The Camry has 15.1 cubic feet of trunk space.
@@tropicalstorm339 my only guess could be the number they give us AWD only or they gave the wrong number. Either way...thanks for stopping by and does your brother like his ES?
That a Lexus ES 250 Is Like a Toyota Avalon XSE or Volkswagen Arteon SEL or Kia Stinger GT Line
How many colour options are there in ambient lighting?
None, go get a Hyundai if you want disco lights.

Awesome
Car is 🔥
Love the new ESes but as 2015 ES 350 owner, you can have all of that touchscreen cell phone device gadgetry they are putting in these cars today. I've been driving forty years and the only information a true driver will ever need about his vehicle is simply the oil change reminders, transmission fluid condition, tire pressure, battery life, coolant levels and bulb light has gone out indicators. All that other chit is absolute and unnecessary fluff to make bad drivers even worse.
