    Hey Kurt, for the people that are clueless to hot routes or pass protection or custom stems, can you put an arrow or circle to what you’re pressing when you’re making those adjustments? I can sort of make sense out of what you say and what follows upon replay, but would be dope to have that visual cue to see more in detail. Love the videos, Kurt, keep it up-you’re teaching me everything bout football brother, one love 🙌

      You’d press the analogy stick at the bottom of the controller to pull up the menu and it’ll allow you to see all of them. Lb or L1 to pull up pass protection, y or triangle for hot routes and during hot routes you’ll select the receivers route you want to change by pressing the icon then you’ll use your analog sticks or d pad to choose from routes, you’ll also do that to choose protections as well. When you’re in the menu to choose routes hold LB or L1 again to open custom route stems you’ll do the same in protection to double team. Not all route stems are custom but most are

      @senseimilli หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@hikaru._.4284 Awesome, that was clear and helpful! Thanks bro 🙏🏼 I think I gotta explore what each hot route does for each receiver and try to understand how that’d play out against different defensive formations. I’ve only touched the slant, post, corner, swing left or right options, and a bit of the L1 protection adjustments, so far. Right now, I feel like I’m just trying to get used to the different offensive formations you can use and making slight adjustments on the receivers or the O-line to what coverage the other team has, but would love to explore more in depth on those things so I’m not doing it wrong whether by overdoing these adjustments or just choosing the wrong one.

    • @hikaru._.4284
      @hikaru._.4284 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@senseimilli you’re good I did the same at first. Just keep goung through the lines cause you don’t need it but you’ll get then hang of it incase you do. I only use it if I feel like they’re blitzing or if I want to single out a star player on a run play. The hot routes are definitely trail and error I think short cross and deep cross are cheese but pair it with a route that clears out the side the cross goes to. Post corner combos and don’t be afraid to add motion. Turn off your acceleration clock so you’ll have more time to work. You can keep your rb in to block but make sure you still have a short check down when you start making your own plays up basically with hot routes also don’t worrying abt doing to much you’ll find out what works best for you and when it comes to coverages look for the open space cause sometimes it won’t even be a route you change but when you left alone that gets open cause of the change

On other coverages, I try to go for the big play every time and it is hurting in the long run, so I’m gonna try hard to follow your advice of taking some of those short ones. It’s all about moving the chains and limiting turnovers. I’ve thrown so many picks recently😅
    EDIT: I wanted to add I never play online. I play single player dynasty mode, but your advice works great for playing the CPU too.

(My o-line stinks and I need to get better at recognition) And 2) How are you play calling and handling situations on the road in hostile environments where you can’t easily hot route?

    No need to cook your brain on all these plays. Follow these rules, and you'll be fine:
    - Zone defense: Throw screens or curl routes(TE is your friend).
    - Man defense (watch the safety or middle): Go deep or run slant routes.
    - No good options: Look for a scramble, throw it out of bounds or hold onto the ball and take the loss.
    - Turn off the accelerated clock; read the defensive spacing, use audibles.
    - Moving your WR before snap can reveal if the defense is playing man or zone.

    It's hard to read all these things on the fly. One good thing is taking the fundamentals though, understanding where the safeties are on the field, understanding press coverage . A big thing as well is getting the hips turned on defenders and understanding timing on throws to ensure things like curls and deeper flat and out routes can be hit. One of the big ones that I liked was seeing the 2 high man get abused by the scramble QB . 2 High man feels really rough because especially vs heisman CPU these corners blanket your guys and those D line are very aggressive so beating them up the middle can help a passing QB stay in rhythm without having to always be in singleback formations.

    If only there was an e book, similar to a play sheet with all the coverages/ routes that beat those coverages.

    Hey Kurt, have you considered tackling Dynasty Mode in College Football 25? Your gameplay insights would make it a thrilling challenge, especially with your knack for scouting and player management. It'd be awesome to see you strategize and build a powerhouse team in the game!
