Lots of videos coming soon breaking down how to beat these defenses. Right now, there is a CFB 25 video on my main channel (WinMadden) that breaks down the Alabama offense and shows u how to beat every coverage
@@WinCollegeFootball any advice or somewhere you can point someone who seems to understand what basic coverages look like but never seem to get those looks in game? Or if I do somehow I’m wrong. I can read them and make sense on the video but in the game it’s like foreign language. Why does it never look the same as the vids I’m watching?
Excellent tutorial. I've seen similar a couple of times over the course of the past 10 years for the couple of times I picked up that years Madden, but I wasn't able to apply it. The way you explained it, from safety to CB really clicked tho. Thanks!
First of all , thanks a lot , it’s the easiest and most logical explanation for zone recogention, however i find my self confused regarding the Defence balance/symtrical look, for example at min 11:49 in the Vedic u say its balanced defensive look, but all i can see is 4 on the right side and 5 on the left side (excluding their Saftey and NT)
There are a lot of videos similar to this, but this is exactly what I was looking for as a beginner, great balance of beginner and higher level terminology.
My strategy is to utilize check down plays often, mix in the run a few times, and maybe once or twice look for a deep deep throw It’s boring, it lulls people to sleep, but it’ll give you more chances to gain yards with lower risk, run down the clock, get your self in a rhythm with the passing and seeing where the defense is, then really shock them with the big plays. Basically TB12 offense, the defense can’t cover everything, throw the ball where their guys aren’t and watch how they adjust
Great video, but shouldn’t you also account for when defenses are disguising their man or zone coverages by doing a general coverage shell? (which you can do in this game)
Use motion with slot receiver if u can’t tell.every play no matter what shell they are in they will show something to let u know and like he said on step 4 coverage alignment
You'll get zone or man with motion. If I disguise my shell you'll still have to make a read. People already need to realize pre snap reads are a tool not the new all end all... U still need to read the safeties post snap
Thanks for the comment and kind words! Lots more coming related to this. There is currently a video on my main channel (WinMadden) breaking down the Alabama offense and how to do exact this! All future CFB videos will be here though
This was the best walkthrough Ive seen! What about cover 6 zone, cover 9 zone, and tampa? how do we differentiate them from the other 2 high safety looks?
This can be done through the same method. With cover 6 for example, u will see a 2 high safety look with one corner playing 8 yards off and one corner play 5.
There’s many coming soon. But that specific video is on my main channel WinMadden. Since this channel was only 200 subscribers when I posted this video YT doesn’t let channels that small link videos to other channels. But it will be able to now soon.
great video. a few thoughts... during the gameplay portion... give a few more seconds of pause to let us see the defense before letting the play go. Also, a quiz portion would be nice. Show us the defense and let us guess it beforehand, to see how we are retaining the information. thanks again!
I also noticed to even if there balanced in single High safety you make think it's cover 3 Zone but if the DB is in your face or outside it's cover 1 Man if your in a spread type formation like doubles or normal or spread at least for me idk about trips. And single High safety can also be Cover 2 Invert depending if the safety drops back to his Blue Zone post snap then it's cover 2 Invert but if the safety back peddles then it's cover 3 Zone.
When you motion a receiver over and someone follows, it isn’t always a 100% guarantee that it’s man coverage. Some people can have their defense set up weirdly where it has someone go to the opposite side of the field in a zone.
With the new way to hide your coverage using shells on defense, could you make a video on how to attack that if there is a way to? Awesome helpful video though!
You should stream live, and talk through whatever you’re seeing live on defense. Or videos and clips of you reading defenses. Similar to a mlb the show streamer i watch , he breaks down what pitches pitchers will throw
From a defensive perspective, this is why it can be helpful to disguise coverages with plays like cover 2 invert, or cover 3 cloud. The number of safeties will be deceiving.
wesome. I have another question. What do you do when they’re disguising coverage? Is there a way to break that down as well? Also I was having a hard time breaking down coverage on a 3-3-5. What you think
Great video, easy to understand. My only issue is on step 3 you say 2 high deep safety can be cover 4, cover 3 variant (6 or 9), cover 2 zone, or cover 2 man. Then say the corners are deep so it's a cover 4 or cover 3 variant. OK, got it. Next you say it's a 2 high deep safety and not a single high deep safety so we know it's a cover 4 and not 3 (or variant). But you just said earlier it can be either of those. How do you know it's not a cover 3 variant? What am I missing here?
Great video. I have a dumb question. How do you show the defenses play in practice? I don’t know why I can’t figure this out. I have my pre-play stuff for my offense but nothing for defense where it’s at on your screen for Texas.
Nevermind. Turned the second controller and got it. Thanks again for the video. I’ve always a habitual bed shitter when passing. Already making a difference.
Correct me if I'm wrong. The whole balanced and unbalanced tip only applies to a single high safety right? Because if there were 2high safties that would leave only 9 more players and they would always have to be unbalanced?
