If you liked learning from this video, you’d love my Foundations guide that teaches NFL level football from the ground up. thedimelab.com/products/foundations-guide
@@KurtBenkertwould your foundations guide potentially help improve ability to read defenses and get ideas on how to adjust plays pre snap on madden and this game? Or is it more for when you’re watching real football and having some kind of idea of what’s going on instead of having no idea?
pro tip on kicking - Controller vibrates until you move it in enough and are "on" the make zone, so I always move it left or right until it stops vibrating and then move it in or out just a hair more depending on where I am on the field. It's actually made kicking about 100% easier. Try it. I don't even look at the arrow anymore really.
It would be awesome to see an absolute basics video from you. I'm still able to learn some from this but it's a bit too advanced for someone just starting. Still enjoyed it thanks!
Bro honestly you have helped me a lot reading defense and passing concepts over the last 5 months. I went 5 years without gaming and you helped my learning curve on offense. Thanks a lot brother.
As someone who hasn’t bought a Madden in years or played NCAA 14 since like 2018, your videos definitely are helping me knock the rust off and see the game from a different perspective. I was a bit overwhelmed with NCAA25, at first but I always come back to your channel or TikTok’s
This is the best content for any video game I've ever seen dude. Thank you for sharing. I don't know if you've got it planned out, but I think it would be super beneficial for you to have a video pre-recorded and then you go back over each play a bit more slowly, or at least go over some of the key plays and explain why you did what you did, and even how you did it with the controller and what-not. But this is all so much fun to watch, and I'm glad that you end up against opponents that actually challenge you even tho you're really good.
Kurt. You’re awesome bro. Thank you for the hours you put in to make good content but also educate us on the GAME OF FOOTBALL from the offense and defense pov. This makes me analyze games on Sundays a whole different way.
The goat is back! Don’t tell me about Mahomes, Brady, Montana. Only casuals mention those guys. Kurt is the best to ever do it! Adding on…the guy you played was actually pretty good lol
Amazing content. I wish I knew all the concepts and lingo you were talking about but that's just my lack of knowledge. Def will keep watching and learning
This hands down might be one of the best football teaching channels I've seen on youtube. I wish this s*** was around when I was still playing in high school fr fr
First off, hardly no channels are doing this and the ones who are either are mostly cheese or don't know what they're talking about. WE NEED MORE OF THIS KURT!🙌
Love the videos, bro! For someone who enjoys football but has never played, I would like to see if you can dumb it down for folks like me or maybe do more practice videos on beating certain coverages.
On those we screens you have to use the low pass to draw him inside to get that moment to create a play. I kept trying to lead my receiver whether it’s was a HB swing pass or wr screen/ RPO. I don’t know what throwing it low does but they catch it with out turning in circles and killing their momentum.
If Kurt has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Kurt has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Kurt has only one fan then that is me. If Kurt has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Kurt, then I am against the world.
Kurt, forgive me if you've made a video like this before because I'm new to the channel, but I think it would be super helpful if you made a video dedicated to defensive insight. Starting with the basics of what shells to use and when, key differences in formations (nickel vs dime and so on), and examples of gameplay adjustments. From what I can tell most people are getting cooked on defense so it could do numbers. Nonetheless, another great video and really appreciate the content.
15:31 I have been dealing with this issue since the game came out. I especially have this issue when using the tip you gave of getting the ball to the receiver when they "flip their hips" but this issue always has the risk of this happening. Most of the time ending up in an INT
@KurtBenkert -- your content is MONEY and super happy your channel's taking off, brodie. One quick question, and maybe it's because you were a QB, but I don't really see anyone trying to establish the run in CFB. I've really only seen top players do air raid/empty set (Not even the RPO!) Is this because the AI doesn't block well enough? Or is it a preference/play style thing? I noticed, more often than not, you were running when they had a weird set (I dunno why homie kept leaving the box so light at times), but it wasn't primary strategy. Maybe for the next video, try to win a game with a power run offense? That'll be fun to see! Like use-the-dual-threat QB-as-a-power-back type of vibe. Congrats on the ball/merch too, definitely gonna check out the website as well.
Definitely more run game stuff would be great. To your question, I think it's preference and Madden habits that people don't establish the run. Because its easier/more effective in Madden. For years you could stop the run with nickel/dime packages easily so everyone passed all the time. This game with the wear and tear system and RB left stick control could finally bring it back.
Kurt you should have a big "term" video (if you dont already have one) because despite some of us having knowledge on a lot of these terms. With new found fame theres always new people that dont know the calls and what it actually looks like. I think putting popular calls that you talk about in a video would help your new viewers.
Such a good boy here. You listened my requests to put an overlay while you call your plays and you did it into next video. I appreciated it. It's not usual that a person like you played in NFL listen an anonymous on YT. Thanks boy!
Kurt you will earn way more playing video game football than actually playing it, mark my words and wont compromise your physical health, stay bless Kurt
All these years from playing madden. I now am looking to make better play calls, but god damn its difficult lol. I only played highschool football, So I don't have the concept of calling plays like I would in hockey and baseball. But learning how to do all these hot routes read defences, or reading offences and knowing when to blitz when not to blitz, Is one of the most difficult things to do in a sports video game.
