@ahhthatsjustgrand6502 you do know that Ubisoft made Watch Dogs Legion and The Division 2, which open worlds are arguably worse than Cyberpunk so who is the fool now?
@ahhthatsjustgrand6502 wow that hit a nerve, didn't it? All I did was point out a repetitive design choice that Ubisoft incorporates into a massive portion in their games. The fact that Far Cry 5 feels the need to mention "No I won't you have you climbing towers all over the county" is just proof of that. I actually enjoyed Far Cry 5 quite a lot, I played it through in it's entirety with friends. But the last thing Cyberpunk 2077 should be is a copy and paste of Far Cry. Which Ubisoft would've done in a heartbeat, they proved that much with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. If that means my taste is shit, then maybe you should look at your taste for a moment and take a sniff. Yours is the exact same dude.
There's a Tool song where they put in the sound of them shooting a piano with a shotgun and it just sounds like a shotgun. I didn't hear any notes from the piano in it unfortunately.
I worked early morning shifts at Walmart. One time at 6:00 AM, I was walking through the store when I suddenly heard the "Bing Bing" of Crazy Frog. That sums up Walmart radio to me
Ate at a Ruby Tuesdays a while ago and the music they had playing went from Crazy Frog to I'm Blue by Eiffel 65 back to Crazy Frog. All while the two TVs in the bar area had South Park on instead of the sportsball stuff it usually has.
There are so few people that know the actual comics. My oldest brother’s a massive fan - he’s got tattoos of the Darkness, the Angelus, and the Witchblade.
A lot of large American corporations run some form of internal radio, rarely is it "over air" on the FM or AM band anymore but an online radio station setup specifically for stores, although yes some smaller companies in the north still transmit there radios over AM
I bought this game for 3$ at a Gamestop years ago and I still consider that purchase to be some of the most well spent money on a video game. So good. I was so disappointed when it ended.
I feel so old now because I've been playing the Darkness games since 2009 and still hold onto hope that a third game will be made. I still quote some of the characters from time to time.
Games were really an oddball FPS. I still have no idea how I came across the first 2.. I think back when I used to hang out at GameStop and check out the bargain bins... Excellent games, especially the 2nd one. I still think about the gameplay in the psychward where you attack the doctor with a knife. Hidden gem, up there in the top 50 FPS of all time. Edit: I still remember the weird random side quests.. like helping that harmonica player in the subway by threatening some guy. Had alot of unique elements.
Imagine some of the world design and aesthetics of the first game mixed with the shooting of the second game. It would be one of my favorite fps games ever.

Wasnt until even later when I learned that the singer if Faith No More was the voice of the darkness, cementing my love for this game even further. The war scenes in what my young mind could only discern as hell, stuck with me about as hard as the scene from Full Metal Jacket with Private Pile in the bathroom after unaliving his drill sarge.
There was a guy I used to hear on overnights that came on at 4 am Walmart radio that always used the “IT’S OVER 9000!!!” when he was introduced on the station 😂 that was the best
when i worked at sonic we had a radio station that you could tune into in the lot while you waited on your food. they did the exact same thing as the walmart radio, but it made more sense cuz most sonics are drive ins where we bring the food to your car.
As a proud Walmart associate I can confirm Walmart radio is Awful, it’s pre recorded and they play the same songs on a loop for about a 3ish months at a time and every stores music is region based so you live in like the Midwest they play stuff specifically popular there or you live near the border there’s a lot of Mexican music but all of the DJs cutaways are the same. And it’s not live so you can hear the same songs and cutaways more then once if you work at certain hours. It makes you appreciate real radio
I recently played this again. Amazing story, actually well made and tought gameplay,, really fun at high difficulties, incredible power fantasy, good characters... I even tried the multiplayer by doing solo missions and man, they are challenging at the high difficulties! Biggest flaw is the game lenght... I just discovered it out of nowhere years ago and it's still one of my favourite games ever.
Really loved this series. The first had a really good story and the second had some of the most fun gameplay out there with a good story. Really wish a third game would come out now, it’d be nuts with newer engines.
