Five years ago, I bought a good used, well-maintained 2 y/o TimeMaster. Just got done replacing the BBC cable and installing the casters and a 1 gallon fuel tank (combined the 2 for extra capacity), gave it a tune up with a SeaFoam treatment, new plug, gas and air filter, synthetic oil and Oregon hi-lift blades. Practically a brand new mower!! Will eventually upgrade to the 223cc B&S engine. I also installed a 2nd washout fitting on the opposite side of the deck. Thanks for the video.

3 years later are you still happy with these casters? How does it affect mowing, and adjusting the deck height?

Very innovative feature Randy! You did a professional job on the removal of existing and installation of the new casters. I think it will work well and looking forward to your feedback on it. Thank you!

I have a Timemaster. I enjoy using it but it needs 7" or 8" caster wheels in the front like the Cub Cadet CC 600 or the Craftsman M430. Then, it can be more managable around trees and bushes. I''d add a hourly meter in addition to the casters and it would be ultra perfect as an alternative to a entry-level rider.
Toro should make a retro kit for the Timemaster with casters for say $200.00 that can be an easy bolt on with minimal fabrication.
Edit: 4/2024, after using my Timemaster a lot since this post. Toro should offer an upgrade kit for those who want pneumatic tires say 12" on the rear and 10" locking swivels on front. I would pay $350.00 for this to keep my Timemaster from making ruts(yes, I the alternate the direction of cuts each week.)

With the frame mounts installed, looks like you could get bigger casters from Harbor Freight and mount them if those small casters seem to be an issue.

I know you’ll get a lot of comments if the casters lock when doing hills and such. Really not an issue since the front end is light enough to pull a slight wheelie to maintain straight lines as you mow across hills.

Smaller Wheels, negative impact with regards to control on hills along with the necessity to drill new holes in my deck really doesn't motivate me to try this. For other people with flat yards this could be helpful.

Technically the wheels they put on mowers are bigger than they need to be. Probably a looks thing to sell them. Remember when they came out with huge rear wheels on push mowers? That was a joke. Terrible idea. People off-road with theses things or something? Lol One ain't going over 3 inch bumps. Some Riders have much smaller wheels than theses on their deck. And it's not a problem.
    Still like them? Ever bend?
To the credit of the designer. Smaller makes it lighter. Easier to handle and push.
