  • suppressor is a Q full nelson shooting pmc bronze 147 grain fmj. Later found some roller dent on this rifle from doing this.

    The bolt velocity on a G3 is already fast. I've seen a silenced G3 clone tear the back of the receiver off. The bolt hammering on the stock pulled the takedown pins right through the receiver on one side. It also broke the stock. It was at AAC's silencer shoot in georgia in 2009 at red hill range. But I can't remember the manufacturer of the rifle.

      With your Chimera suppressor, which LP runs best, the 45 or 36 degree?

      @@KennethStrickland-mb6wt you got to excuse my ignorance on the 36 or 45. I just got the muzzle brake ports timed and and quick attach the suppressor.

      @@KennethStrickland-mb6wt I didn't change anything in the PTR except the trigger pack. So of PTR sets up the GI version at 36 that is what it is. If it is the other, well that is what she wrote. But I will be sure to see, though now that I have been enlightened

    What is the bolt gap sitting at? It looks like a huge gap in the video.

      @@Bobby_Uterus You can assume whatever you want but I don't think that would happen with this design. Technically every round fired could be thought of as being out of battery with this rifle because of the way it operates.

      @@samiam619 The chamber is cut to vent pressure so it can operate correctly and so it dumps alot of gas in the action and alot of factory ammo uses really unnecessary dirty burning powders so you can see the smoke.

    How did the locking piece hold up over time? Im not sure if its worth to pay 3x the price for an HK made locking piece, or if the RCM ones are just fine.

    Its a Hard design to suppress. Thats why we dont see roller delayed designs any more.

    • @potymouf1
      @potymouf1  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'll end up making a video about that if you want. With the extra back pressure it cycles but not the most trustworthy and if I remember right its really slow and soft shooting with out the suppresser with the 36 degree locker

      @@justinhernandez1659 if you see my newest video I have receiver bulging from the 45° locking wedge suppressed and even with a slight uptick in cyclic velocity the 36° is to slow. I'm going to purchase a 40° which is about 50 usd and test it next so just because you said something I'll try all of the wedges suppressed and unsuppressed and publish a video of it with pmc bronze ball ammo. May end up in several parts of one really long unorganized video

      @@justinhernandez1659 i have built 2 of them now with a 36 degree LP. runs very reliably with or without a can.
      I recommend buying one from michael machines though.
      The hk21E has a LP with a smaller tail diameter.
      MM makes his with the correct tail diameter for the 91 bolt carriers. Will theoretically give you better accuracy and increase longevity of the LP because its more robust.
