Every Version of Death Corridor Explained

- Seeing how so many people were interested in the last video of me explaining different versions of a level, I figured I'd go ahead and try it again, this time with Death Corridor!
* Please note that this video is not exhaustive and there are more versions out there, this video covers mainly the more relevant versions.

As someone who's played Kugelblitz's version, he's put a nearly equal amount of effort into making sure the level is at least somewhat fair for all refresh rates up to 360 (yes it's possible on 360). It's also been noted that the easiest refresh rate to beat it on is actually 75-144 fps as those are the values that trade off straight fly and max tightness timings very well. Kugel also recently nerfed it to be playable the same way across all refresh rates. Nice work on the video!

It's funny how there are so many versions of death corridor and not a single one is rated, but there are at least 5 levels that are spin-offs or related to sonic waves rated on the list
death corridor is my fav impossible lvl too so it sucks to see that all the possible versions arent rated
well actually there is only one corridor that is rated wich is just another version of death corridor, the name is gunslinga corridor

From what I've heard, death corridor z is a rebalanced version of Noctafly's version, considered top 1 upon release

Unnerfed Death Corridor which is slightly harder than everything else, Unnerfed Death Corridor but its still hard, Unnerfed Death Corridor which is actually very nerfed, Death Corridor Airswipe, Death Corridor Airswipe but they added an Z and made it weird, Death Corridor redecorated Airswipe version, Death Corridor Official, Death Corridor Official but its a modified version of Airswipe's version, and last but not least, Death Corridor but a modified version of the redecorated Death Corridor version off of Airswipe's Death Corridor Remake. I don't think this much insanity could be created if someone tried.

No that was the very original version. It got updated a little later to fix that part by making it a big wave but technically the original was missing that big portal

Rewatching this video and I don't think you knew this but basically during the whole Noctafly situation, Kugel told Kaotik to tell Viprin to tell Roptop to only rate Kugel's version of dc or something along those lines
Idk if he's still doing this but kugel was verifying out an HRR version of death corridor to hold people over till the 60fps one but maybe it was canceled due to the iced cave version

Death corridor is such a legendary name in the community that it would be a shame if it wasn’t a top 3
heliopolis being harder the higher the framerate is is a massive misconception as on 60hz the level is beyond unplayable and bugged to be impossible in likely over 100 locations, the claim its easier on 60 is a blind untested claim that makes no sense created by mindcap, and the gap on kugels version is less than you think between framerates, but 360fps on kugels version isnt even really playable due to bugs. It’s possible for some people kugels version would be easiest on ~120fps or smth along those lines, its kinda unknown if its actually easiest on 60 but alot of the timings get harder the higher you go up so it definitely might be but some of the parts are really 60fps unfriendly like the ships

The first Death Corridor is physically impossible. There are multiple instances where you can see noclip. For example, last jump before the 2nd UFO.
