This video is a treasure trove of info about the early community. Because I started in 2020 (2019 if Subzero counts), I never experienced 1.9 or what people are referring to as "The Golden Age". This is easily one of the best GD videos I've seen recently, I absolutely love how clean everything is and how it manages to stay engaging over the whole 40 minutes. Yet again another masterpiece, thank you sami.

by FAR the best video made about GD I've ever seen, this production level is absolutely crazy, you'd struggle to find a team of editors hit a level like this.
The “tone” of your writing/animation is so so good and I love it! I think that’s what makes your videos amazing; you have perfect awareness of your tone as a writer.
I should also mention you have a great “theory of mind,” or an ability to empathize with what it would feel like to not know a topic. This sounds obvious, but I’ve seen a lot of other creators leave out crucial details in explaining the games they like or generally just focus on the wrong things, and so I imagine it takes a lot of thought, which you clearly put in.
I just watched a movie, dude. Absolutely beautiful video. Huge props. I've been in this community for so long, you almost brought a tear to my eye several times making me remember things
38:18 The fact that now Silent Clubstep is now verified (by paqoe) is legitimately crazy Edit: Not tryna be one of those "omg tysm for "x" likes!!!1!!" but how did this get 370 likes lmao
I love how you explain things in a way that's accessible to people outside the community. To other people, these might just seem like random levels in a game, but you did a great job here of explaining why these achievements are so special. If anyone asks me how I can get so excited over achievements in this game, I would direct them straight to this video. Once again, amazing work Also holy hell, just checked and there's 2 million views on the Funnygame video, you love to see it
I've watched this video so many times, it's actually so good. Even the subtle glitch effect in the Sonic Wave chapter title gave me goosebumps. You're fantastic at this kind of content Samifying
I never even heard of the game, yet you succeeded in keeping me hooked for the whole documentary and communicating the absolute epic, heroic drama of its history and dragon slayers. Dropping off the gamer chair 13:30 reminded me of Champollion...
I used to watch donate your streams alot, but then stopped playing geometry dash entirely. After seeing some of your content I've returned to the game. The quality of your content is really high and I honestly find it some of the best content this community has to have. Keep up the good work!

What a masterpiece of 40 minutes of explaining the level cap of Geometry Dash over the years. Well edited, well crafted, this video is beyond amazing. Can't wait to see what the new era of difficulty (which will inevitably be boosted by the release of 2.2) will bring!
I kept pulling out my phone while watching this, thinking I must've left Chrono Trigger music playing. The moment I realized it was background music in the video, I just lost it. Never before have I heard SNES-era VGM in a GD video; love it!
I'm honored that you actually used the song I recommended to you at 25:40. Sonic the Hedgehog always has great OST's and I'm happy you used a song from it. Anyways, I've been in the community since 2015 and back then, I thought hacking wasn't even a thing that you could do. While hacking the game and pretending to be legit is a bad thing, it is interesting to see all the stories that spawned from people hacking. Great video Sam and please continue making more of these since these types of videos are always fun to watch.
@@Samifying You're welcome and there are even more songs like that one in sonic 2006's OST (Example: Just Smile.) Nice to see you’re still hearting comments and such. I’ve just finished my second watch and I still can’t think of any other person who has matched the quality and editing of these videos. I would watch a 5 hour documentary about the entire history of Geometry Dash if you made it (imagine the work needed for _that_ video). Keep uploading, this stuff is amazing.
back then, when I was playing GD actively, I used to say something: "Anyone can beat any level, the only difference will be time and the numbers of attemps" There are some lv, which are imposible not for the difficulty but because of a wall or something that force a noclip. But lv which are said imposible, because there are to hard, is not true, it's possible, it just take to much time. I have see on other games, people who have develop skill that was looking impossible. So yeah, I still think this phrase is true, even when I see those "imposible" lv.
The introduction to this video does an incredible job of grabbing my attention, so much so that it really is hard to look away from the screen throughout. Amazing choice of music too (I'm curious where you found such fitting music for this video). Amazing job, creative usage of the GD editor to emphasize your point and to outsource from your other creative outlets, and incredible storytelling (I have watched this video many, many times).

Your editing is amazing, and the humor inside the video is hilarious and veteran gd players can see why
I just hope that behind the screen, you are doing fine and aren't pushing your body to the limit, even if it takes 2 weeks to 2 months for it to come out, we will all enjoy your masterpieces in one way or another
This is easily one of the best GD videos I've seen recently, I absolutely love how clean everything is and how it manages to stay engaging over the whole 40 minutes. Yet again another masterpiece, thank you sami.
bro this video is so crazy the amount of effort is so good, i dont think theres anyone on this platform that can make videos as good as this
What an unbelievable documentary. It may not be everybody's favorite, but the history and lore of gd is so interesting and fun to watch. Reminds me of SEA
fax
Damn i miss sea1997 gd documentaries
Man I miss seas videos, they were both entertaining and informative
I gotta tell you…
I’ve been practicing Sedulous for my next hardest…
And I just gotta say…
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING PLACES FOR START POSs TO BE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THEM
It’s just really helpful and I wanted to just say thanks! :)
Hopefully I can beat it without too much difficulty
It’s such a fun level to play. Thanks Sam.
Your video has so much feel in it and I felt like crying sometimes for some unknown reason and the edits are god mode a step ahead of burr! Also fantastic story and everything, AWW I JUST LOVE IT!!!! keep up the amazing work fam :D

That's Twitch for ya
This is insane, the story telling is the best, this editing and everything about this is just a masterpiece!
What an astonishingly interesting and appealing video! I myself started playing in 2015 so I didn't know about the impossible levels and this has really opened my eyes on the early days of GD. Amazing work!!!!!
thank you for this masterpiece
no friend of mine has ever touched this game
seeing that someone lived the same things as i did alone back in 2015 is really cool
makes me fell like i'm part of something that i didn't even know it existed
thank you for showing this to the world
**the nine circles gag hade me crying
by FAR the best video made about GD I've ever seen, this production level is absolutely crazy, you'd struggle to find a team of editors hit a level like this.
Well the Silent Clubstep portion of the video aged very well I’d say. WHO WAS HERE
The “tone” of your writing/animation is so so good and I love it!
38:18
The fact that now Silent Clubstep is now verified (by paqoe) is legitimately crazy
Edit: Not tryna be one of those "omg tysm for "x" likes!!!1!!" but how did this get 370 likes lmao
and now cursed became the first victor, this is absolute insanity.
@@Moiyima yeah
@@Moiyima Oops
@@Moiyima hitbox multiplier: 0.9x
It’s scary that it is like the 7th hardest level
I love how you explain things in a way that's accessible to people outside the community. To other people, these might just seem like random levels in a game, but you did a great job here of explaining why these achievements are so special. If anyone asks me how I can get so excited over achievements in this game, I would direct them straight to this video. Once again, amazing work
Also holy hell, just checked and there's 2 million views on the Funnygame video, you love to see it
I feel like I wanna cry for how inspiring and magic the video made me feel, the emotions and community I experiences was truly amazing.
Oh my gosh! The quality of this is just off the charts. Good stuff man.
It hits different after SpaceUK got exposed, does it? Tragic how history repeats itself, isn't it?
Ive only played geometry dash once when I was a kid and you made me watch this whole 40 minute video in one sitting. Great storytelling and editing!
I used to watch donate your streams alot, but then stopped playing geometry dash entirely. After seeing some of your content I've returned to the game. The quality of your content is really high and I honestly find it some of the best content this community has to have. Keep up the good work!
This video format is dang near flawless. Please don't let this die!
Bro come on man how many bangers are you gonna release. I thought the funnygame video was like a 1 time thing but apparently I was wrong and and couldn't be more stoked.
These videos are among my favourite. They feel so polished and fresh. Great work sami. I can't wait to see what you do in the future. :D
Sami, never stop making such awesome videos, its been two minutes and im already enjoying it! Keep it up buddy!
I guess riot was right huh. GG Paqoe on Silent Clubstep and also, amazing video.
36:36 i would not mind it at all to watch a 15 hour video from this guy
Yet again sami spends a piece of his soul for another banger documentary. I honestly love the comedic timing and effort put into this
Silent clubstep verified 😭😭😭
2:50 CRITICAL HIT!
also youre BACK with that inscryption soundtrack!!
This editing is absolutely immaculate! Well done Mr Sami!
Thank you so much for showing me that song. It's a great emotional piece!!
@@Samifying You're welcome and there are even more songs like that one in sonic 2006's OST (Example: Just Smile.) Sonic 2006 is my all time favorite video game OST and is the only OST besides Undertale that I liked every single song from. You should definitely listen to the whole OST if you get the chance or even other sonic game's as well since each one also has really good music.
the editing on this is AMAZING. love the atmosphere of the entire video and how it kept me immersed for the entirety of it
1:21 I LAUGHED SO HARD
amazing video as always
This was one hell of a nostalgia trip, thank you samifying for making these type of videos!
hi stormy
@@Aespha hi aespher 😍
It's so crazy to see the incredible talent and dedication that some players have. This was amazing! The editing, the music, everything. It has such a cozy vibe to it. It's a true work of art.
this is the first video i saw from you and the moment i saw it i know something good was coming up. not a single part was boring, everything was incredibly well edited, the video really felt like 20 people worked on it. i wish you the best of luck, you are too underrated!
wow, I just discovered you you and it's absolutely amazing, the quality of the editing is unmatched in my opinion, you can feel the monstruous amount of work this video has in it, but not thinking about it and just enjoying this jewel is also possible. Thank you so much ! please know that you do make hundreds of thousands of people happy.
Bloodbath blew everyone’s minds back when it was beaten
dude! that transition was smooth af at 12:07
"And if you allow me to steal a little bit of your time"
Bro you can take 1 hour doing anything and I'll listen, the quality of this video is top tier.
Just by watching the first 5 minutes, you can tell how much effort was put into this video. Can't wait for more amazing uploads like this one
wake up babe new sami video
lol
HI I LOV U
Love the video, it's so well done in every way. The pace, story, editing, its all perfect. Plus kicking baby KrmaL was hilarious, also you sound alot like BdoubleO
Yeah kind of…
6:09 i love how you added the ib music. i feel like the ib soundtrack is perfect for storytelling like this
Watching this video has been a nostalgia trip. Really well done with the editing and script
I was expecting this video to list all of the actual impossible levels that are still unbeaten to this day.
I did not expect something this wonderfully edited with also quite a bit of humour at all. You deserve a lot more attention than you already have right now. Great job on making this
I started playing gd lite in 2015 and in January of 2022 I bought the full version. The way how you describe the events that happened back then, the animations and the effor put in this video is just amazing! It really felt like I was around back in 2014 community of geometry dash! Keep up the good work sami ❤
Woah ! I really enjoyed every second of the video, thanks to the stunning work you did !
Keep it up Sami ! :D
Definitely one of the best GD videos. And its crazy to think that Silent Clubstep is getting verified, even crazier is that it might not even be top 1. Stuff like Slaughterhouse are really close to SC in difficulty.
Original Silent Clubstep is definitly humanly impossible
@@SyntheticNuclear no vision has 24-100 and 65% twice on original and 99.86% accuracy
@@gmddirvelin6972 the original being the first version sailent released. This version that is currently on Sailent’s account is nerfed. No one plays nor get decent runs from zero do the absurd difficulty of the predrop (like top 5 for predrop alone) and the entirety of the level.
@@SyntheticNuclear it is the original first version vision did pass the insane predrop ik that there was a nerfed on sailents account but vision is doing the original
and yes, it iss the first version it took vision a year to pass the predrop but now he is able to do it (every like 10000 attempts)
Nice to see you’re still hearting comments and such. I’ve just finished my second watch and I still can’t think of any other person who has matched the quality and editing of these videos. I would watch a 5 hour documentary about the entire history of Geometry Dash if you made it (imagine the work needed for _that_ video). Keep uploading, this stuff is amazing.
back then, when I was playing GD actively, I used to say something:
"Anyone can beat any level, the only difference will be time and the numbers of attemps"
There are some lv, which are imposible not for the difficulty but because of a wall or something that force a noclip.
But lv which are said imposible, because there are to hard, is not true, it's possible, it just take to much time.
I have see on other games, people who have develop skill that was looking impossible.
So yeah, I still think this phrase is true, even when I see those "imposible" lv.
Once again Sami, an amazing video posted by the GOAT. Can't wait to enjoy this one, well done Sami.
It makes me mad that this video does not get more views. The production of this video is amazing. It felt like i was watching a short movie!
Amazing level! It was really great to watch, and one of the best gd history-type videos I've ever seen!
You probably mean video not level xd
@@emuliusv Yeah, I did mean that... oops!
This video was amazingly crafted. Beautiful editing. This was the best 40 minutes of Geometry Dash yt I've ever had. you deserve so much more attention for this.
Highest quality geometry dash documentary for the moment.
I stopped playing GD cuz it was gettings boring... but now I wanna play again >_
