This is literally almost the exact cake I was planning on making next week! I'm only doing 3 layers, planning on painting the drip gold and it's for a 30th bday, but otherwise very similar! I am a little nervous about it, so this video is VERY helpful and came just in time! Thank you!!
Hey I just want to say how much I love your tutorials & that this cake I did without the bottle for my daughters 18th and it come out amazing All thanks to you hun, I’m not a cake maker to be honest I make the usually traditional Victoria sponge and cheese cakes. And the white chocolate ganache tutorial omg just perfect I have no idea how to add an image to show you how much you inspired me and gave me courage & confidence to make my cake. All credit to you and your amazing tutorials thank you xx gemma xx
I love this cake Tracey ..the little bottle is a fabulous idea and would have LOVED to make it for my daughters 21st ...but I’m in the process of making her cake now ready for the weekend... it’s Turquoise and gold 😘💐
I love how drip cakes are so different each time. Thanks for the tip on how to get buttercream whiter and to get the customer to provide the alcohol. I love the topper too, looked very elegant. And you didn’t have any drip disasters with this one 🤪😉 It looks stunning. 🎂💕💕🍒
Love to re-watch your tutorials. Always learn something new. What is white fracture gel in the white buttercream? Or atleast that what I thought you said 😆lol. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Gorgeousness, as ever, and at exactly the same time I was creating a rare 'drip' cake (I'd batted them off until now) Typically, you pulled this off with great awesomeness, mine needed your creative flare ;-) (and I totally chickened out of the white choc covering and went fondant icing!) Thank you for yet another fabulous tutorial! x
ha ha thank you! You can always make yourself a cheeky little cake just to test out the white ganache covering! ;) A slice ever so slightly melted in the microwave for a few seconds will be heavenly...like milkybar sauce! LOL
I recently made one very similar to this with the exact same sweets & party rings, love the idea of pumping sparkle dust over the whole thing afterwards, will add that next time! As always, fab tutorial, thank you :)
So beautiful cake 😍😍 and hey what do you think about that tool you used for frosting ... ? Should I get one ? I can’t get my sides sharps as I like that’s my only problem, I use Italian merengue do you think Pro Frostrer could help me achieve that?
So glad I found your channel...What a beautiful stunning cake ... I’m going to be doing one similar but as a 8inch 4layer, could I ask would I need to use dowels for this hight of cake , I will be using a miniture bottle like yours as well, also is it best to do a Madeira sponge for sturdiness x thanks so much
Aww thanks Claire! I don't usually put dowels in for 4 layers of cake - that's my standard tier size. The cake I used was my regular vanilla sponge recipe that you can also find on the channel :D The sturdiness will come from your ganache xx
Great tutorial. The cake looks amazing. Thank you for the info about getting the customer to provide the alcohol, I never new that. Fortunately I have never made a cake with any apart from using Baileys to flavour the buttercream. Does that count? If it does on this occasion it would be okay as I was providing dessert for a friend who had invited my hubby and I to dinner.
No it makes it easier as you're not having to try and cut something super tall and wobbly haha :D You cut from the top until you feel it hit that centre board so your slices are more manageable. Once the top slices are all off, just remove the centre board and continue with the one underneath :D x
Thanks! Yes its super hard to capture that sparkle!! Try taking it next to a bright window and shooting a very short video instead. Facebook/Instagram and even websites now allow short videos so you can show it off better! x
So pretty! Another clever bake Never even thought about the alcohol aspect! Do u know if it would be the same if those little pipettes with alcohol in, were used in cupcakes? Thanks for mentioning that. Definitely something to be aware of
Thank you! Yes this is a hard one isn't it, as alcohol used in the ingredients itself should be ok...its an ingredient, but when its still pre-packaged in its bottle, you are essentially selling a bottle of alcohol like the corner shop would!
Thank you! No the ganache once set actually holds it really well! Plus if it ever did sink, it would only do a teeny bit as the centre board would catch it, but I was pleasantly surprised just how well it held!
Gorgeous! Question... i have read somewhere that a few ppl apply ganache under buttercream cakes to give the cake stability? Ever heard from that or tried it?
Hi Tracy , I downloaded your pdf and want to say again thanks so much , just a question if you don’t mind... I normally do a 4 tier mine don’t rise as much as yours ( which I love by the way) so if I bake four Separate tins of the Vanilla cake recipe I downloaded should I be ok to do that with the bottle on top ... I love this tutorial with the hight of this cake but I’m not confident enough yet to go that high and the person who wants it won’t want it either ... so yeah just wandering will it be ok to do 4 separate layers ( not cut 2 in half) and have it basically like the one in this tutorial ... I’m sorry for being a pain but really appreciate your help... i will have to send you a photo when I do it , it’s for next week xxxx
Can I add a crumb coat of ganache and a very thin layer then buttercream on top? I’m making a cake for my sister and she loves my buttercream but will be travelling an hour with the cake thank you
Hi Carol!!! I have my vanilla cake recipe posted here on my channel - its easily tweaked for chocolate - and there's a downloadable PDF you can try too in the description of that video :D x
@@Cherrycakeco Hi mam are you sure you ure using white chocolate ganache to cover the whole cake ? Are u adding some whipped cream for this ganache ?? Pls can i ask some recipe for this frosting youre covering for the whole cake ?? Thnk you and have a good day.. 😍
Yes, I put all my cakes on drums - they are more stable for stacking, but also the depth of the drum helps to keep your scraper more upright - resulting in a higher chance of super level straight sides :D
You make it look super easy Tracey!!! My last drip cake I forgot to turn heat down on microwave, my ganache was an oily mess, took ages to fix 🙄🙄 Quick question: do you price up sweeties etc before quoting cake price or just take the hit when you go mad in home bargains 🤪 Thanks as always #cherrybrigade 🍒
Oh no! I'm guilty of setting my microwave, and walking away to do something else and totally forget about it hahah Well...on this one I totally took the hit LOL. I priced for a tall 5" cake....but then when I had the bottle realised a 5" was not going to be big enough to house it on the top AND fit the topper/sweets on, so I up scaled to 7" and took the hit.
Loved this cake...sooo girlie! 💕💕 Good tip about the alcohol, never even crossed my mind that licensing laws would come into it. Did you whip the ganache this time or is it just normal ganache? ❤️🍒 xxx
When I turn forty again LOL will you make me one in Purple and I'll even cross the great pond?to get it because I'd love meet the only real person that has helped my depression. Thank you. Keep on caking.

Fab!! ha ha yes not many pink sweets out there! Thought flumps would be less stress than attempting macarons, a lot seem to feature those! LOL xx
@@Cherrycakeco For sure! great minds and all that, I first thought of Macarons too but it was only a 6" cake & I had to fit everything else on! x
Excellent tutorial and so many "wow, that's a great idea" moments! I am terrified of ganache as a coat but I want to try it.
Thank you so much! Yes give it a try, its lovely and sturdy once it sets!
Very nice and also the color😱💞may i know what is the size of the baking pan?Thank u

Love it so much 💖

OMG, this cake looks stunning, by the way I just found your channel
Thank you so much, welcome!! xxx
With the foam circle, is it difficult when you get ready to slice & serve the cake?
No it makes it easier as you're not having to try and cut something super tall and wobbly haha :D You cut from the top until you feel it hit that centre board so your slices are more manageable. Once the top slices are all off, just remove the centre board and continue with the one underneath :D x

Hi, what do you use to clean/ sterilize the foam board before putting it on the cake?
So pretty! Another clever bake
Never even thought about the alcohol aspect! Do u know if it would be the same if those little pipettes with alcohol in, were used in cupcakes?

Little Cherry Cake thank you very much. Yep understand completely 👌🏻
Hola, se puede hacer el drip cake en fondant ?
Hi how long bottle can be placed in cake? Doesn't it breaks the cake with bottle weight??
Love the sparkle! Do you not need supports under the bottle?
Thank you! No the ganache once set actually holds it really well! Plus if it ever did sink, it would only do a teeny bit as the centre board would catch it, but I was pleasantly surprised just how well it held!
Awesome as freakin always , loaded cakes are simply fun to do , only problem is I would eat the left over topper goodies lol.
hahaha I have to admit I did sneak a Lindor chocolate! lol
Yummy
Wonderful ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you!

Hi I was wondering what size cake tin you used ? Xx
7 " cake
رائعة وممتعه 😍👏🏼🌹
Hi, I found the ganache recipe thanks, can you tell me how hight is the cake please. Thanks again xxx
did you put in the freezer to hold the buttercream ?
No this is ganache :D x
Gorgeous!
Question... i have read somewhere that a few ppl apply ganache under buttercream cakes to give the cake stability? Ever heard from that or tried it?
Yes! Totally works if you are wanting a buttercream finish on the outside. :D x
Is that whipping cream or butter cream
Hi Tracy , I downloaded your pdf and want to say again thanks so much , just a question if you don’t mind... Hola de cuantas personas es este pastel ? Doble altura
Where did you get the frosty ?
Beautiful 😍❤️
Thanks!
Hi, its amazing and helpful thanks for sharing with us. Can you give me your ganache recipe please. Thanks
There is a ganache video already on the channel. You should be able to find it by searching little cherry ganache 😊

@@marinaliaguedes2755 no problem
Can I add a crumb coat of ganache and a very thin layer then buttercream on top? I’m making a cake for my sister and she loves my buttercream but will be travelling an hour with the cake thank you
You sure can! Just pop enough ganache on to hold it steady once set, and then skim over for the outer layer :D
When using the ganache would it have to be stored in the fridge or is a cool place ok xxx
Have you got a link to your chocolate sponge used in the recipe.
Hi Carol!!! I have my vanilla cake recipe posted here on my channel - its easily tweaked for chocolate - and there's a downloadable PDF you can try too in the description of that video :D x
Is that a 20c size bottle?
Hi mam.. what are using for the frosting that was stable ?
Hi! I'm using White chocolate ganache x

Would this be to heavy to go on top of another cake
No you just need to dowel the bottom cake to hold the weight of this one :D x
What is the ratio of cream and white chocolate
Im just wondering what size cake this is?
Why do you put it on a cake drum rather than a cake card at the beginning? For more stability?☺️
Yes, I put all my cakes on drums - they are more stable for stacking, but also the depth of the drum helps to keep your scraper more upright - resulting in a higher chance of super level straight sides :D
