New cheapo muffler and mid pipe have arrived. Have always bought original exhaust systems for all my sports bikes previously. This time round, will test the cheapo prc made mufflers for a change. Performance is not high on my list now. Just wants a slightly louder exhaust note to make the vstrom 650 more exciting to ride. She is fast enought for me at my current riding stage.
The one I bought was the Arr0w replica and the diameter of the muffler was too big for the wee Strom. Should be ok for the 1000. Not the 650. Too hollow exhaust note and not enough back pressure. Will order the db killer and test it again. Mid pipe leaks. Will need to go to an exhaust shop to fix the leak. So that's the problem with buying cheapo slip on exhaust. Fitment is not good and muffler diameter size is wrong. Not for fussy bunnies. But if the exhaust note is bearable after installing the db killer, I will use it for a while and buy another muffler later on. Lets see how it goes. In the meantime... I need ear plugs.

@@winnieng3691 slightly more at mid to higher rpm. But low rpm seems to suffer abit. Changing the air filter next and see how. 🤣 but definitely more fun to ride.
