    Excellent first flight! Very light airplanes always fly best. The take-off/landing performance is quite impressive. I am inspired by your work!

    Great model iv flown small and large piper cubs up to 50% scale for years. And it's nicely built and flown ( BUT ) the only thing that spoils it is the coulor scheme and the porhetic electric motor. sorry guy's I build scale models as per the real thing. But well done with what you have achieved

    How do you manage to make model airplanes so big and so light? What is the secret?

    Very cool,
    I think if the tail doesn't disassemble it will keep the angle fixed

      Pak Timbul thank you! There were some vibrations on the tail, but I already fixed the problem, the screw from the back wheel was loose ;)

    Great airplane, is your tailwheel controled with the rudder? I like how the the rudder and elevator can be detached, wish i did the same on my build...

    • @loebair
      @loebair  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the back wheel is not controlled, the plane has so less weight it works like this

    Good work but you need a little more steady camera work. Good way to spend 8 months! Enjoy!

    thanks for posting. good work. here are some things to consider. a GAS prop Equals, WHY. at :37, the dom (Distribution of Mass) of the the tail boom, and its constituent components, was Not Correctly managed/optimized. there is also excess mass at the stabilizers/sub-assembly. as a result, this model has a, Permanently, Tail-Heavy dom. in such a situation, correct balancing of has NO affect, on a wonky dom. this was a whole lot of work for a big fat floater, to fly around. at 3:22, the decisions to use a j-3 variant as reference, and to make use of a Zero-dihedral main wing, tell the rest of your story. the geometry of the wingtips may be scale, but, imo, it is less-than ideal, on a model. googletranslate

      David Davids thanks man for the thoughts, but the goal was to make a ultra light weight plane, and that’s what I got. I never „waste“ too much time in these details you mentioned, but I love to hear that you like my work and thought about what I did. Not many people do that. Greetings from Germany , Felix

      @@loebair always be sure to not waste Any time, doing something CORRECTLY. that is a Popular approach. it can be seen, EVERYWHERE on yt. videos such as these should be required to have a disclaimer: Do Not copy ANYTHING SHOWN in this video. btw, if the amount of MASS in the tail and tail boom had been (correctly) Managed, the auw of the model Would have been fifteen, or more, percent Less. but NO, that would require the wasting of time, in the Correct Application of Correct Knowledge. googletranslate
