Upon rewatching it, I realized just how sad it was and how heavy of a loss Gon must have felt to lose such a mentor. You see it all the time in real life, people lose folks that they hold near and dear to their heart and they always say that they would be willing to exchange anything just for another moment with their lost loved one. This scene actually put some of that into reality. Amazing scene, hype as hell but once the hype wears off, it hits you in the feels.
It wasn't just about the loss. He felt guilty for Kite death. Kite was a close person to Ging and now he was dead because of his fault. That's another reason why he went so far and give up his life and nen, he was weak so he wanted to redeem himself.
Because you know that he traded his life to do what he did. He gave up everything for this. How many of us would be able to do the same. To make the choice of self-sacrifice for another.
He didn't only lose Kite, he gave up everything. In his tunnel-vision, he gave it all to masacre an enemy he couldn't even feel anger towards in the end. Remember how frustrated he was when Pitou was healing Komugi. The beast that killed his mentor being capable of a gesture of love? Unforgivable. As Kite said: "what'll you do if you find an ant who cares for their brethren?"
Technically kite still alive bec the ant queen ate kite than had the baby and the baby named herself kite without anyone ever mentioning him to her so the theory is that we know when the queen ant eats humans and has the baby the human memories can come back so that’s why the last baby she had wanted to be known as kite sense she ate kite now the baby is going to have kites memories and basically become kite ig

may be unpopular opinion but for anyone that watched both, this scene is sadder than the chimera scene in brotherhood
eh, i wholly disagree. there's a finality to the chimera scene that this doesn't really have in retrospect.
@trashcandy. I just think that they didn't build on the fma characters enough to make the viewer care as much but watching the character you've seen grow for 100+ episodes crack is something else
CAN YALL STOP TALKING LIKE dawg I can why you don’t get invited to the movies
There's no debate, the Chimera Ant Art is a masterclass of storytelling, Togashi hit lengendary mangaka level after this.
Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite anime, but I won't ever debate the fact that Chimera Ant Arc is by far thr best anime saga of all times, is not nearly comparable to anything done till these days.
What is the channel of the girl wearing akatsuki uniform
Every time i watch this scene i cry like a baby
Gon pulled the jojo card
Chimera ant arc is such a masterpiece
What is that outro song?
just the "aww thats gone"
everybody "dying" one persone "good i hope you feell the pain"
I swear, if watched anything with people screaming and commenting every single frame with a "woooow" around me i'd just stop. It totally kills the vibes
Hunter x Hunter BEST ANIME!
The music the atmosphere the tone the animation goddamn did the studio nail this scene i was just 15 years old or 16 remembered reading the manga and feeling chill and when the anime announced of cimera ant and i was waiting for this episode to air and when it did boy was it hype as shit now days it doesn't happen bcz I'm always afraid they're gonna fuck up the animation back then almost all anime they nailed the animations everytime now 50% of the time they fuck up the animation
The two black woman
The lady in the orange shirt, same😂
This scene will never not hit
this is top tier or even best moment in anime history.....the way this anime is written is just beautiful....this anime will touch your soul....and the last moment of ant king is even more beautiful. loved this anime and I am waiting for next manga chapters
When you go back to the first opponent in the game that caused you the most problems. Full strength and speed, no mercy.
