such awesome memories from young kara and nate to be cherished forever. when the going gets tough, you refer back to these times and feelings and battle forward together. this is not just a trip around the world, you are building a great base for a long and happy life together it's an honor to share it with both of you!
Today I was telling my mom about you guys and I said these guys are going to tell their kids we traveled the whole world... I mean that's a crazy story.
You guys are so lucky to experience Angkor Wat. I'm Cambodian/American born and raised in CA and its one on my bucket list to visit Cambodia and see where my parents came from and knowing more about my culture but yeah great video and thank you for sharing. I ❤️ 🇰🇭!
You can go for super cheap, it's really not something that is beyond you reach so instead of having on your bucket list........cross it of it! Why wait until your older and things are a a more "Appropriate" time that may never come. Check out a channel called Gabriel Traveler, he's great for showing affordable ways to enjoy travel and has a good few vids on Cambodia. I hope you get to go and enjoy yourself, life is too short to hesitate.
We stayed at Golden Mango in 2011. Loved it. Restaurant looks the same but no pool and looks like they added a wing. And if they did your laundry they knotted a thread in the label to show which room. Still wash shirts of Kev’s with the yellow thread. ❤️
I can relate to the walking on temples story, I am Greek and when i was little we went to the Parthenon with school and we went into the temple and i remember how fascinating it was to go in!
Watching this back in 2020, everything about this makes me sad. The last two weeks or so I was meant to be on a Cambodia trip with my school but it got cancelled because of Co-Vid 19... At least these videos are amazing and can show me what I'm missing ):
Your videos are these best travel vlogs I know this is a super old video but I liked your most recent videos so much I had to watch previous ones! The videos are not overly long but just long enough to show all the place things about each country and on a budget! I love it! Have so much fun!

So crazy, I was in Cambodia at the same time you guys were. I was there February 2016, then Kuala Lumpur in March 2016! Went to Angkor Wat about a week after you guys. I actually stayed in Kompong Thom but we still visited Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Edit: We called that pink spikey fruit hairy eyeballs lol and we took tuk tuks everywhere! We went to a genocide museum and the killing fields, learned soooo much and thought the experience was so impactful. Would highly recommend if you ever find yourself there again.
The whole temple area is so magical to me and wish I can visit it again. I actually went there because of that Angelina Jolie movie which featured Ta Phrom and I was not disappointed. Thank you guys for going there. And the round, red fruit you ate earlier is called rambutan. Similar to lychee in texture, but less tangy in taste.
Kara and Nate lol, the movie can wait until you get home or borrow if from the library, but your epic travel must continue on :) You can find it online, just search for it.
As we say in Norway. It is raining upwards. That means something very unusal happened. Like Kara getting her own coffee. :D I hope you go more to museums when you start traveling again. One misses out so much wehen not. especially the national museums. They are the country in a nutshell. Ankor wat is a must see.
you speaking of chichen itza, I’m only 23 and I climbed it when I was around 6 years old! so they only just recently shut it down. I’m thankful I was able to do that when I did.
If you guys are really into temples, you should visit southern states and Odisha in India. Full of amazing temples! I know you have been to India but completely skipped southern states..Give it a try during winters, it would be lovely! :)
I just came to the beginning to catch up and I'd like to say that I think its kinda hilarious and cute that y'all were trying to sum up what you learned at the museum because it sounded almost like a school report lol
I love your guys vlogs so much!! im actually planning my first ever out of country trip and im actually going solo to southeast Asia. I am 19 female and im planning to go to Thailand, Indonesia, Philippians and Cambodia for 2 months backpacking and I was wondering if you guys would recommend anything and or have any advice for me?! Thank you, love you guys so much
Hey guys!! I really love your videos guys!! I'm thinking of starting a YT channel myself one day... do you ever feel as though you miss out on anything whilst you're trying to capture everything for us?? Do you ever get tired of filming?? Keep up the good work guys!
Thanks so much for doing these! I am planning to go to Cambodia this coming winter, flying from Boston Ma. Do you guys have any advice? I am trying as best as I can to not be nervous. Thanks so much
+Casey Martin you'll love it! Definitely watch our Cambodia vlogs for do's and don'ts of Angkor Wat. Don't be nervous you'll love it! Let us know if you have questions :)
What type of travel insurance did you buy? In Norway the companies may not cover you if you go by tuk tuk and you end up in an accident if there was normal taxi cars to go buy too so to speak.
The fruit with the red hair and the clear jelly middle is rambutan. The jelly balls in the ceral are passion fruit, or lilikoi. At least, these are the Hawaiian names.
Yea! We have a lot of frequent flyer miles saved up (Nate's hobby), so we're trying to visit as many countries as possible without burning ourselves out.
We just missed you guys in Siem Reap back in 2016! The wife and I have the travel bug also. I've signed on to your emails. We hope to run into you guys on the road.
Someone make a video of Nate’s reaction every time he’s told to leave a place or to put the camera away from their videos. I think it’ll be hilarious. Jajajaj.
another really enjoyable video! You guys are cool and chilled. Just to give you a pointer..the mountain is called Meru. it represents the center of all things. It's actually the meaning of life, but not to get too heavy...we're in life to find THE center where full definition and understanding is gained. It's the same as in ancient Egypt. The great pyramid is also called mount Meru. Love you guys.
I've watched your first very vlog and am currently at the Cyprus one. Amazing how you have evolved and grown. Probably the best travel vlog series out there. Awesome work!!! Massive fan👏 ✌
I love your video's! Thank you for sharing. I have a question....We have never been out of the country and we are going to Thailand and Cambodia in January from the 5th to the 19th, 2017 . Is it best to get flight arrangements now from Chiang Mai to Angkor Wat/Angkor Wat to Phuket or can we just get them while we are there? We want to wing it while there for the most part except for Flight from SLC, Utah to Chiang Mai and then from Phuket to home. But we need to know if fights will not be available if we wait until we get there. Also, if you have any suggestions for International Travel Virgins, that would be great too! Thank you, Tonya
Ovaltine!!....YUM......you mostly only see that in the UK/Ireland....in Western Europe anyways........tastes like the inside of a Malteaser....nom nom nom
I guess it's a little late, but when riding a Tuk Tuk, be sure to keep your bags OFF your shoulders and to the middle of the car, because some of them collude with bikers who pass you buy and steal your bags and you can't catch up with them. Other than that, we were in Cambodia at Angkor Wat in September of 2010 and loved every minute of it. The people were lovely, the food was great, and the weather was unbearable, but we made it back to Canada in one piece. If you get a chance, go to Laos and take a jungle trek on an elephant! Great videos guys!
Am just catching up with your early videos. Love the temple. But, hey, guys? Mexican food in Cambodia? Just, nooooo! Hopefully, you'll be eating some wonderful authentic Cambodian food in future vids.
Mexican food in Cambodia! Who'da thunk it? Regarding walking on the temples, when I was in the Australian Outbackin '87, and stopped at Uluru (Ayers Rock), hiking to the top was still allowed. Now it's not.
Can't help but wonder if they buy 3 plane seats. EVERY TIME I fly, I am sitting next to a stranger..really really close to a stranger. All of the flights I have seen so far, kara and nate are the only 2 in the row..😂😂
Damn yall didn't go to the right places to eat or visit crab beach or climb the mountains (amazing btw) Or even go to a ktv karaoke bar Theirs alot of amazing tasting khmer dishes I wish you guys tried them. Maybe next time

That stress relief hand sanitizer at 7:08 is so great! Definitely helps when I'm studying.
Yes isn't it the greatest?!

The temples were marvelous ❤️🙏👀🤩😁
From all the videos I have seen, I absolutely love the music! Especially the high pitched singing! Keep it up kids!

the sunset was beautiful. thanks for the vlog.
That spikey fruit is a rambutan. You're not really suppose to eat the seed!
Thanks! We did a little googling afterwards and came to that conclusion. We read that the seeds could be poisonous! I'm glad Kara didn't eat it!

Kudos to Kara for not obviously disdaining three Ovaltine instant coffee!👍
