My brother in law has one of these as his "winter beater". It's bonkers in the best possible way, which should be Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep's marketing slogan these days.

An offroad vehicle with a racetrack engine that will be driven neither offroad nor on a racetrack.
not even an off road vehicle with the three season high performance summer tires that come with it.
If they put that engine in a minivan, sign me up!

+Scott P indeed! My wife has a '15 Town n Country now. If they actually made a v8 minivan (whether 392 hemi or supercharged 6.2), I'd be pitching it like crazy
All you would do is bitch about how hard it is to change the oil and how there's no camber adjustment. I think Chrysler knows this and that will prevent the Pacifica Hellcat from ever coming to fruition. Damn you, Turbowski.
It would be a better vehicle with a lighter less powerful 6 up front, handle better, and cost a lot less. "Sporty" beats "track ready, but too expensive" any day.
That's not what this is about
Pointless vehicle in many ways. Too expensive, given at its core it is just a modded and heavily optioned $28,000 Laredo. Bad reliability reputation. But looks fun. Triple the price? You're better off getting a regular crossover AND a sport sedan, or better yet, a sport wagon.
Or just get a Miata and call it a day.
My mom used to own a 2014 grand Cherokee limited and we test drove a used srt and the difference is incredible. She's getting an srt night in a month or so
Too expensive? There are like 3 competitors BMW X5m, Porsche cayenne turbo S and a mercedes truck. SRT with suede headliner, leather dash with contrast stitching, dual pane panoramic moon roof, 19 speaker Harmon Kardon, naturally aspirated V8 475 all wheel hp, and its under 80k. It's cheaper than the base of any of it's competitors and once you option for the nice sound and a few other tic boxes those are between 110-160k. It's not pointless at all. Then again you must think mustang gt350r's are pointless since it's "just a mustang." I have a 16 SRT jeep and a 14 heads and cam Viper TA. A viper is a Viper and this jeep is NOT just a jeep. It's incredible and gets plenty of seat time from me.

- MUCH different to drive
- Built MUCH different than the Laredo and other models
- More reliable than every suv it compares to (X5, ML, Range Rover, Porsche, etc.)
- Cheaper to purchase new
- cheaper to maintain
- More spacious
- most importantly, it’s Holds the most value from all these listed above
YOU GET THE MOST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK WITH THE JEEP SRT

you can tow a boat very easily... I tow my 270 searay sundeck all the time. Your commentary sucks.
