My parents always wanted to explore Tainan (台南), after traveling almost everywhere in Taiwan. The cuisine are so divine, as well as its majestic temples.
Adding to my list! Really enjoyed this video. The food looks amazing and i love that this area has so much history and different architecture. That Japan feel! I miss Japan 🇯🇵 and can’t wait to start traveling again… but i also really like Taiwan 🇹🇼 and would like to explore more of it.
There is a long history in that theater, Ang Lee, who has won three Oscars. When he was a high school student, he went to this theater to watch 2 movies every week. Director Ang Lee said that his movie dream was born in this theater.

I had to look up the famous Osaka « running man billboard » … I loved your look while recapping the first day, meanwhile T snoring in the background 🤣🤣 was nice to see you both enjoyed that breakfast resto from IG (although I don’t know what I would have ordered myself 😅😂). The park was so pretty! You feeding the cute fish was heartwarming, reminded me of us feeding the ducks at Grams with Mom 🤍 & just loved that you both got away to enjoy a slice of Taiwan together and that SPA… Yessss! 🫂🤍 oh, PS, those hand painted movie posters 🤩 LOVED!

Since coming to Taiwan my Singapore demographic has jumped ☺️. Actually everytime I convert Singapore dollars from NTD, I notice the conversion is always near the Canadian dollar!

Yes!! I touched on it on my other video in Tainan with my friend Annie! We did the whole tour of the old buildings and forts. It was really interesting to learn.
Anping is a great spot, touristy I know but it has a lot of old style Taiwan charm, just avoid during tourist season if you can afford that luxury, I hear Tainan is where all the cool Taiwan foriegners move to after they get sick of Taipei.
Love your husband being the camera man. Also, what a shame you didn't visit any bar hiding in old buildings. In my biased opinion, that's one of the trendy activities to spend your time in Tainan. 😂
The Jo Sho place must heat their bowls in addition to cooking/adding broth at the table. It was clearly boiling after being poured in. Glad they warned you about not touching it.
Just out of curiosity, do you mostly speak English with your husband? I know that you lived for many years in Japan but i hadn't watch many of your older videos. How good is your Japanese? Pretty much fluent i would assume?
My Japanese is conversational and just so/so. My husband’s English is fluent so I mostly speak in English. I guess I speak Japanese to him when I want to be playful

Tainan city first built by Dutch alomst 400 years ago ( Zeelandia 熱蘭遮城) at year 1624, It's no dounbt that Tainan is the oldest city in Taiwan.
