Hey everyone !! Long time no travel video ✨ (more are coming, promise!) I am so glad to be back to doing what I love & exploring new areas of Taiwan with everyone 🇹🇼
Oh I miss Taiwan! I loved how everywhere we went around the country, there were cute play areas for kids all over the place and people were so welcoming to my little girls! Very family friendly country!
Watching this video is like doing homework at home before going on a real trip, easy and relax. You are like a tour guide or manager leading people to various destinations, with local food recommended. The best part is that it saves a lot of effort. Instead of reading traveling books or blog, this is a faster way to get information. Besides, information found in the video is helpful and excellent for reference.
Haha I am glad!! For these trips I take and special travel videos I research ahead of time and make notes on my phone so I can remember things for each place I visit ☺️

It is not a Jenn video without going to an IG worthy location! Love the video. I don't know much about Taiwan, only really been to Taipei and these videos are perfect.
Great to visit Qigu and Jiangjun! Not many TH-camrs introduced those two places. They are neighborhoods of mom’s hometown, Jiali, and worthy to visit. Cold brewed tea tastes smoother and actually more nutrients are retained in it. 👍
@@LayersOfJenn btw, you could plan a trip to Nantou Yuchi township. You can find good quality of teas there. I usually purchased light roasted Oolong, white tea, and black tea.

(b) And I liked your analogy -- that was exactly what watching you scrape up the salt reminded me of! So many mornings and afternoons spent shoveling the snow off the sidewalk and the driveway after snowstorms! Anyway, good video, and I'm glad you got to visit Tainan!
Haha believe it or not, yes 🤣 I know it shocked everyone when I say I haven’t tried it yet but, now I can say I have!! And it was like shoveling snow in a way. Maybe that’s why I was a natural 😉
It's interesting to relate the salt harvesting to snow shoveling. I never thought about that. lol Love the orange dress!! You did a good job explaining the bus route. Definitely gonna try the bus when I get the chance.
I think because the shovel itself was quite wide like the one I used growing up in Canada 😂 & the sound too. Shoveling snow off of pavement sounds the same.

It's a nice video. Can you tell me which song you using when you introduce the crystal church? I love that song. And maybe you can try to camp in Taiwan if you like outdoor activity. It's totally different style between Canada and Taiwan. And winter is nice to camp.

Now we know you can get a part-time job at the salt fields. 😉 When it is not crowded it makes for nice relaxing places to take in some nice sites and of course eat some great local foods. Was T your silent assistant on this trip?
You are so smart to use booking system in 7-11. Lol. But I bet there is English version. Lol. Alisha has the best tea in Taiwan. 豆花is the best dessert.❤️
Qigu is a very relaxing place to go. I've spent a lot of time there. I need to check out the seafood market, though. Looks like they have some amazing food there. Actually a really informative video, too. Very interesting! Thanks.
Hi! Nice video :) How did you go back to the train station after sunset? The shuttle bus timetable says that the last bus from the salt field is around 5pm and I've been trying for days to find a way to stay until 7pm and then go back to Tainan without sleeping in the area. Thanks
Because I felt the sunset was worth it, I stayed and missed the last bus and took a taxi back!! I find taxi services very affordable in Taiwan compared to when I lived in Japan.
