PEAK DISTRICT - CASTLETON (Not just an awesome park up!)

The Peak District National Park is not only an insanely beautiful part of England but unlike the Lake District, it provides fairly decent overnight parking options for camper vans and motorhomes beyond the regular campsites.
The picturesque village of Castleton, in the Hope Valley, is a firm favourite of many a vanlifer as well as keen hikers and cyclists with it's fantastic facilities, a castle, cavens, ancient history, cute shops, flowing streams, Christmas lights, Winnats Pass, and numerous footpaths in the area.
Beyond all these stand out attractions, Castleton offers a thriving and friendly van community around the base of Mam Tor. As a 'mid way marker' for travellers up and down the country, it's proudly used and cared for by hundreds of 'overnighters' throughout the seasons.
In this episode, we leave our park up and venture in to the village centre to have a good look at what's on offer.
