Yeah this November would've been perfect for them. But it's mostly Monster Hunter that is big enough and will pull attention away. Kingdom Come maybe on PC but overall AC will still do well if the game is good
I do wonder if Monster Hunter is harmful enough to AC as a release? I know it's a huge franchise, but it's kind of a niche game and also a completely different genre. Idk, I don't overly see them having much of a shared audience with AC.
I play both and love both and would have got Shadows next month, but now being two weeks before Wilds, I won't be getting it. Nah, the real reason they are delaying the game is because of the gargantuan backlash from Japan and their laughably insulting marketing, especially with the figures posing on the one legged torii! Oof!
I was kinda bummed that they pushed AC Shadows back to February, but understandable given Outlaw's recent performance. Still though I don't care if Ghost of Yotei surpasses AC Shadows in many ways when that game comes out next year. Ubisoft games are like cheap chain fast foods that gives you gratification (even if many would not agree and see it that way) and games like Ghost of Yotei/Sucker Punch are the cuisine type of foods that are much much more satisfying once you eat them because qualities like that do not come very often. Let AC Shadows do what they gotta do and when Ghost of Yotei releases, then let them shine in their full glory they deserve. After all, michelin star cuisine outshine fast foods easily for the most part.
Its sad to see that Ubisoft back in the day was one of top tier publishers especially the ps2 and ps3 generation and now they fall from grace and become the fastfood of gaming.People dont even trust them enough to buy their games at full price
@@GeneralThunderbolt If its not cheap fast food chain analogy, then its just a chain of expensive foods, if not overpriced. And it still ain't no michelin star quality.

I’m super excited to hear this news. I had only been finding content that says the game is canceled….im glad it is just postponed. I’m still super excited for this release.
I've already commented on the topic at FragNart. Maybe Ubisoft should go the way EA did with Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order or Survivor. A simple single player game, without DLCs and microtransactions, 30 hours, good story and characters finished. Because if something like that is good and without errors. the word gets around and people buy it... and you can recover as a brand/publisher/developer. So back to the roots... what once made you great.

If you think Ubisoft delayed shadows just for polishing then you’re wrong. Devs have talked to other TH-camrs and said that Ubisoft is a dumpster fire right now, which we already knew. They said the February date could be a place holder date and could be delayed further. Theres also a fully made male Japanese MC that Ubisoft ditched because of the BLM riots and wanted to pander to them. Also hexe is going to be all about women girl bosses and lesbians and Ubisoft doesn’t care about “pissing off the core fan base”. All this is according to Ubisoft devs and there’s much more.
There's literally nothing wrong with women and\or lesbians lmao the problem is the quality of the game or show or movie in which they are being portrayed. NOTHING wrong with LGBT.
@@gabriel_alemdoaquario did I say anything to that nature? No. I stated twice that this all came from Ubisoft devs. But people are tired of girl bosses and activist shoving their crap into games. Especially established franchises. If the rumors about AC Hexe are true then that game will bomb too, just like outlaws.
@@gabriel_alemdoaquario lgbt is right or wrong is a different matter but firstly, is you are just hap hazardly putting female girl bosses and others thinking that people will love the product because of it then they're totally wrong. I had pre-ordered AC Valhalla. It was a big mistake. The game was in very bad condition in terms of performance and bugs. Imagine that for 1 month, until they released the first patch, I couldn't play due to screen tearing. Since then, I stopped pre-ordering games, especially from Ubisoft. I replayed Valhalla in 2022, and its performance was nothing like it was when it first launched.
My question is, if they are going to give everyone who preorders it the first expansion for free, are they going to reduce the price of the deluxe/ultimate edition or season pass as well? Bc why should I pay the same amount now for 3/4th of the product?
Online takes are always crazy, the AC shadows delay has nothing to do with Ghost of Yotei. If Ubisoft delay is to respond to Ghost of Yotei, they wouldn't delay the game to the same year and closer to when the Yotei is releasing, the best plan would be sticking to the original release date to get as far away from Yotei as possible.🤣
So Ubisoft is giving refunds... But for those of us who preordered the colloectors edition through Gamestop, i didnt get a notice for a refund. Just an update on the expected release. Should I cancel my order or we should be expecting a February release?
So… I pre ordered the collectors edition through gamestop… how’s that gonna be affected? Will that be honored or do I need to talk to someone about a refund? I know you said preorders of the CE would be honored but didn’t know if since I didn’t go directly through Ubisoft if it’d be different.
They best use whatever time they can to keep polishing shadows.. this might be make it, or break it for Ubisoft… really hope they can remove the feature that makes us either choose a character it would be better if you can just switch characters whenever you want
Im sad that ac shadows got delayed to next year but im still buying next year. And im 34 hours in Star Wars Outlaws on my ps5 and from what I've played so far im loving the game and its getting unnecessary hate. People try out the game and judge fairly instead of listening to pathetic reviewers.
Only thing that upsets me about this is I too that week in November off so I could play the game. Thankfully because of what they did when delaying the game this is why I don’t buy till week or a few days before. This has happened way too much and I hate it. Guess now people can’t complain about the price. I did not know they did not launch on steam at the same time that is mistake.
Is it a good idea to delay it so close to ghost of Yotei though? Since their both pretty similar games, context wise, I imagine there will be a hefty group of people who won’t want to buy both anymore. Since ghost will be a much better and appealing game I feel like someone people won’t want to buy assasssins creed anymore because they’d rather wait for ghost than pay twice for a similar product. I feel like this will affect assassin creed’s sales, no?
The other assassin's creed game will be a multi-player game. But not enough is known is know about the game right now, so idk if they delay or sell at the same year as shadow's
Maybe they're realizing they should have made their Japanese samurai/ninja game, which takes place in 1579 in feudal Japan with a Japanese character...I know, what an outrageous concept. Imagine a Japanese samurai in feudal Japan, of all places. What are the odds of that? Apparently, at Ubisoft, the odds are zero...
When I saw a black dude beating up Asians on hiphop music in the trailer it make me think about modern day New York instead of feudal Japan. This game is a woke joke.
If I had preordered season pass do I just get 1 expansion now? cba to order each dlc separate, i know it'll have like 5. Damn was looking forward to the game too, but if its a buggy mess than yh cook it up lol.
Not sure what's going on with Ubisoft, there seems to be a wide array of things that have compounded over the years... but if we can, maybe, possibly, by a slim margin get the Ubisoft of old back, then that's a win for all sides. It does feel like a long time ago, but there was a time all they could release were creative, innovative gems.
on Xbox I preordered the ultimate edition (day one as in the first day i could) and it still says I own it and that it's coming our November 12th, I know they will probably update this so I preordered standard edition shadows just in case, so I'll either own the game twice and play it early or ill own the game once and play it at launch either way I preordered the game, either way this delay only makes me more hyped as that means that for the first time since unity, Ubisoft is listening to the players and taking extra time to polish and this means maybe they will listen to the community about other things like legacy outfits and just outfit ideas in general as well as weapon ideas and such (such as for Naoe I would love to have a bow) can't wait to play the game and I'm fine with waiting a bit longer if it means the game will be that much better. I look forward to seeing more marketing as well. keep up the good work Ubi and I hope to play this game on Valentine's day (because sadly I have nothing better to do)
You reported that very poorly Star wars outlaws didn't make any money or break even they lost money if you spend $3 50 million and only get 150 million back that means you didn't make any profit.
@JorRaptor did you hear anything about Assassin's Creed Yasuke Helmet Replica ? Will that still be November or did it get push back as well to February?
The delay is in no way a bad thing. Giving the game a little more time to cook, changing the season pass model, giving people the first expansion free if they pre order. They’re learning and that’s a great thing. I was already hyped for the game, but the delay only means good things for the game so bring it on!
Yea me to, I pre-ordered the Ultimate addition. I don't care about all these Toxic youtubers calling it "Woke." Yes a blackman and a woman are playable. What do you walk up to a woman and a blackman in real life and tell them they're Woke? I just want to play the g*dd*mn game. Which it is, it's a f*cking game.
Her Jor, if by some miracle Sucker punch release a Ghost of Yotei gameplay trailer along with a actual release date at the game awards, if the date is somewhere in the first half like April or may do you think it could potential hurt shadows if the release dates are only a few months apart?
if they need 4 more months to polish then how tf were they thinking they were releasing this in a month. sounds like they were originally ok with releasing a buggy mess BEFORE star wars flopped, but now they're scared
The new date is horrible though. This would have been a day one buy for me but the new release date (with the 3 day early access) launches on the same day as Kingdom Come Deliverence 2. And also only 10 days before Monster Hunter Wilds and Yakuza Pirates (also bafflingly releasing on the same day). And I forget when but we also have Avowed that month. I don’t even know when I’ll get to Shadows now but I’m absolutely choosing KCD2 over Shadows if they’re the same day.

The "launcher" with the modern story. Idk if maybe i missed something or what but was thinking maybe you know whats up.
Hey! That is weird, missing 1 entry is not that big of a deal tho so don't worry too much. Yeah infinity is still happening, it's now called the Animus Hub. It has now probably also be delayed
no idea if i will get shadows, i don't really mind Yasuke being a character and the gameplay for Naoe looks fun however i don't want to hear how slavery is bad for the 1000th time which is what I'm scared of with Yasuke, nor do i want to grind for higher levels like odyssey. I just want a good story with a fun historically accurate map for me to get immersed in.
The kind of desperation that it would take for Ubisoft to promise to give away an expansion for free *before* the game even launches is just off the charts
Im surprised because seeing Avatar launch in a great way no game breaking bugs/glitches i thought they'd gotten better at polish but i guess it was one off
I remember how disgusted I was with the bugs Valhalla had, not just early on, but throughout the entire first year after launch. It needed more than just a polish.
while i agree that delaying the game is somewhat a good move but the new release date might actually kill this game on release. Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Jan 17 Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Feb 11 Civilization 7 - Feb 11 Avowed - Feb 18 Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii - Feb 28 Monster Hunter Wilds - Feb 28 This is gonna affect sales for sure.
I guess I'm a bit of an Ubisoft fanboy because I never really had a problem with the way they were doing things. I did think they were getting too greedy with the $130 ultimate editions, and I had to restart Outlaws because the PS5 launch build had some game breaking bugs. I can understand how some gamers would be fed up with that sort of thing. The main issue I've had with them is the constant releases but middling quality - like you mention with AC Valhalla and how it took so long for the Ireland DLC to arrive. I literally just started that dlc recently because I forgot all about it. It's obvious that they've become far too greedy and it's finally caught up to them, so I see it as a win win. They'll stop abusing consumers and we'll get better games for less money. Hopefully.
The fact that people think they are delaying for bugs is funny. They know if they release it now, it would be the worse release for them so far, they are waiting for people to calm down and stop talking about the game and the story , on the hopes people will but it after the hate fade for their story and principal characters. They cannot change the characters now, this is another Bud Light case of massive f up for their customers. They will rather cancel the game and make a new one but if they do so they will be getting a lot of heat for that too. So basically they are screw and they know it. Just go and look at their value on the stock.
I'm just guessing here, but given the fact some of those parties don't seem like they're gonna refund, I think it should still work. I think they wrote future pre-orders so that there is no confusion in that you do still have to pre-order the game in order to get it for free.
@@Fleepwn yes. That's what I was thinking as well. Plus it's sort of a clever way to increase preorder sales as well. But I've noticed no one(at least for me) mentioned physical preorders so I just asked.
I'm playing Star Wars Outlaws right now and my god is it actually horrible. The gameplay mechincs are just not set up well together. The stealth is absolute garbage. In fact why are we not able to just go around blasting our way through everything? Forced horrible stealth is the worst. The story so far is really not good. I'm not that far into the game though. Hopefully that at least picks up? but my game has also just frozen more than 5 times to the point that I can only close the app and restart the game. Not good!
I know they've released some bad/unfinished games but I've always enjoyed playing the odd few Ubi games and been looking forward to playing Shadows but this is much needed. Their stock prices are low and aren't getting the sales they were hoping for so hopefully this changes their business plans.
Even I was getting impatient for November. But I'd rather have this delay than a broken game. I will still get this game for the Ultimate Edition whatever changes they make for that, even if no 3 days early access (which is actually a very good thing they removed that FOMO shit). I hope Ubisoft really got sense slapped into them. All the criticisms about cultural and even world elements accuracy that still can be addressed should be reworked in detail. Yasuke situation is impossible at this stage to rework and I have no problems with that. But Ubi needs to show they really aim for doing their best. No Chinese architecture, no mistake use of Hanzi instead of Kanji, no plants in the wrong season, proper NPC reactions, no stolen flags, then improve that parkour further. And this may not be possible, but if someone over there had some sense of what's wrong with their parkour is, do what they can to bring back the manual jump.
I don't mind if they needed to delay it but what I do mind is that they had to cancel my pre orders for Ac Shadows. Like I got notified just moments ago that it was canceled
I like the fact they’re realising there’s some faults with their launch management. If they can just get this release right, then they save themselves from bankruptcy. Though I’ve got a feeling some people will refuse to buy the game even without knowing the reviews. Mirage was a good game, it got around 6-8/10 stars on average by most reviewers. 6-8 is pretty good. Shadows just needs to be right.
Shambles that we are at a place where they have to admit they’ll try and release a ‘finished’ game rather than half finished and patching it for months afterwards

When they stop producing heavily monetized trash with season passes and 130$ editions maybe people will buy their games
Or like with the PS5 pro you could just NOT buy the ridiculous asking price of 130 dollars. No one is talking about this with all the other games that have their special editions 50 dollars more then a base game for minimal content, only Ubisoft for some reason

True! Asking $130 for a $20 game is crazy, indeed!
no season pass, no gold edition, no deluxe edition... big W! I love this!
Do you think the new release date is a bit risky specially in Feb we have kingdom come deliverance 2 & Monster Hunter, thanks for the video.
I'm one person, and it's entirely my opinion, but I figure for the players who play both AC games and Monster Hunter games, they'll save their time and money for MH Wilds. You're going to choose the finished game after all. 👀
I am mad but this means they can polish it more
Can’t polish a turd
yeah... this is their new engine.. and the last time they release the new AC with new engine is just.... well you know what happened. 😂
What do they say about polishing a turd
Nah. Its beyone saving at this point. The country which the game is about hated it, thats mean you just fuck up.
Ubisoft will prove everyone wrong! Goty ❤
Nah, the real reason they are delaying the game is because of the gargantuan backlash from Japan and their laughably insulting marketing, especially with the figures posing on the one legged torii! Oof!
Oulaws would've sold more if it was a polished game. I liked it, but the number of glitches should ashame Ubisoft. They need to spend more on QA.
to be fair cyberpunk 2077 had like 5x more bugs than outlaws at launch.
ummmm no the protaganist was so boring that even a well optimized game would not make a difrence :D
Ubi always had these issues! That's why I always buy their games 3-4y after launch. At 80% discount and with (almost) all the bugs fixed.

Yup, I agree with you. Let people have the free will to choose what they want to play without getting called out
Lol I like that cheap fast food chain analogy... except assassin's creed shadows ain't cheap
you need to remember that yotei is just for ps5.. not every platform 😂 so not everyone can play that.. good luck to pc user waiting for yotei and gta6
You don't make "high-impact quests with memorable moments" in 3 months. Either they were already working on these for some future DLC or these quests will be nothing to write home about.

I've already commented on the topic at FragNart. Maybe Ubisoft should go the way EA did with Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order or Survivor. A simple single player game, without DLCs and microtransactions, 30 hours, good story and characters finished.

Facts! 🫡
@@gabriel_alemdoaquario lgbt is right or wrong is a different matter but firstly, is you are just hap hazardly putting female girl bosses and others thinking that people will love the product because of it then they're totally wrong. Really ? Ubisoft is already bankrupt. I'll be amazed at this point if it doesn't

Dose 2025 mean two assassins creed or just February with shadows?
The other assassin's creed game will be a multi-player game. But not enough is known is know about the game right now, so idk if they delay or sell at the same year as shadow's
Good question, I think just one with a lot of Shadows support. Will see if the multiplayer game makes it.

Its sad to see because ubisoft holds such amazing IPs. Wish they would get more innovative with them
Not sure what's going on with Ubisoft, there seems to be a wide array of things that have compounded over the years... but if we can, maybe, possibly, by a slim margin get the Ubisoft of old back, then that's a win for all sides. It does feel like a long time ago, but there was a time all they could release were creative, innovative gems.
So the collectors edition still costs the same even though all the other bonuses including the lack of a season pass come free now?
I said this on your previous assassin's creed video jor
Appreciate it!
on Xbox I preordered the ultimate edition (day one as in the first day i could) and it still says I own it and that it's coming our November 12th, I know they will probably update this so I preordered standard edition shadows just in case, so I'll either own the game twice and play it early or ill own the game once and play it at launch either way I preordered the game, either way this delay only makes me more hyped as that means that for the first time since unity, Ubisoft is listening to the players and taking extra time to polish and this means maybe they will listen to the community about other things like legacy outfits and just outfit ideas in general as well as weapon ideas and such (such as for Naoe I would love to have a bow) can't wait to play the game and I'm fine with waiting a bit longer if it means the game will be that much better. I look forward to seeing more marketing as well. keep up the good work Ubi and I hope to play this game on Valentine's day (because sadly I have nothing better to do)

@JorRaptor did you hear anything about Assassin's Creed Yasuke Helmet Replica ? Will that still be November or did it get push back as well to February?
The AC Shadow’s Duo trailer basically lets you know what we would’ve gotten. I hope they fix the game for real
The delay is in no way a bad thing. Giving the game a little more time to cook, changing the season pass model, giving people the first expansion free if they pre order. They’re learning and that’s a great thing. I was already hyped for the game, but the delay only means good things for the game so bring it on!
No one wanted Outlaws, should of made it a Bounty Hunter game. It's tough to make a successful Star Wars game with absolutely no jedi..
So the collector's edition is probably going to be cheaper since there's no season pass

I'm happy about the more consumer friendly approach. But in the end we'll see if it pays off
The new date is horrible though.

There's one possible feature that might save AC Shadow ~ add a Character Creator.
while i agree that delaying the game is somewhat a good move but the new release date might actually kill this game on release.

This is gonna affect sales for sure.
Investors and shareholders are not happy, let that sink in!
I preordered the collector edition at my local GameStop, does that mean they are lowering the price for that edition or what? This is ridiculous.
Does this mean the collectors edition I have already ordered will be cheaper? Considering half the bonus content has now been taken out of it
I think this is really good for Ubisoft to give the game more polishing time
Does the situation with first expansion works for the one's who pre-ordered physical copies as well via best buy or Amazon ect...?
I'm just guessing here, but given the fact some of those parties don't seem like they're gonna refund, I think it should still work. I think they wrote future pre-orders so that there is no confusion in that you do still have to pre-order the game in order to get it for free.
@@Fleepwn yes. That's what I was thinking as well. Plus it's sort of a clever way to increase preorder sales as well. But I've noticed no one(at least for me) mentioned physical preorders so I just asked.

6-8 is pretty good.
