For the algorithm, not related to this video - I left a semi-bad review on Amazon about my Donner Cyclops amp because of the battery issue but decided to just keep the broken amp. However, Donner actually reached out to me and sent me a new one that functions correctly. Gotta give a thumbs up to Donner for the customer service because they took care of this issue and I didn’t even ask them to. Have a good weekend Alan.
I would never discourage and up and coming player from buying something he can afford. Growing up I had to start on low end equipment. Today I own lots of high end stuff.We tell these young kids not to buy cheap stuff the next thing you know they are sampling 3 chords on their computer and using auto tune. Let's keep Rock alive.🍻
Cheap stuff is great. But it can be cheap and still be free of IP theft and trademark infringement. Vangoa and Donner both make pedals that stand on their own plus all the Amazon Basics pedals. Tons of stuff. Agree ok your premise tho

You can still buy this pedal and there is a modded one available too , just saying .... and please clean that maple neck fretboard , was driving me crazy trying to figure out if it's ware or dirt...thanks for the video

I got to be honest, that sounds pretty awful. Thin, brittle, too much gain. It sounds like when you try to put a Fuzz Face through a Fender blackface amp and you're stacking square-waveform on top of square waveform. Maybe it might be more useable if you swapped a few pots out for different values (that gain pot definitely). At the end of the day you'd probably do better picking up a used OCD or maybe used MXR and stack them.
Yeah I didn’t build it but no offense taken regardless! There’s a trim pot inside that needs looking into but as it ships there’s not much subtle about it. Haven’t really explored the tightness knob much yet either.

Great video.. but man.. this pedal really sounds terrible, I guess its all about the circuit and the components, and for the most part cheap Chinese knock off pedals never sound good anyway. Handbuilt BE-OD clones with high quality components sounds just like the real Friedman BE-OD.. cheers.. :D

I have both the real BEOD deluxe and this knock off. In some ways I prefer the knock off. It really does sound great.
