Good tips. I’ve run into all those annoying issues with mine too. I learned the hard way and dumped half that canister into tank when trying to remove it. Now I take the whole thing off. Lol. Its a great feeder though.
Yeah, it is a pain in the neck for sure! The good thing is I don't have to put food in it very often! haha Overall I wouldn't live without it now though, that's for sure!
I am using the everyday fish feeder. Its working very well, but I do like the Neptune AFS. Just have mine is a specific spot and I am not sure this bad boy would fit. Thanks for the VID. Like the program choices and you can always check the log to see if it dispenced which is a nice vacation option.
I’ve setup a webcam on the tank when we’ve gone on vacation. Once I’m watching I can login to the apex dashboard and run the AFS, which is nice. It’s loud so you’ll know when it’s running! Haha if it works for you keep it going!
which webcam are you using I have the Amcrest 1080 HD. It sits on the side of the aquarium and I can actually rotate it which is nice to see the fish fish eat but I have to know when its scheduled to feed lol.
Just a simple logitech webcam. When we go on vacation I leave my cabinet doors open and point the webcam at the tank. Otherwise I don't keep a cam on the tank for a couple reasons. If I did though I'd look at that camera you got! That sounds awesome!
No way I can keep the gyre's on, they would blow all the food right into the overflow! haha Luckily the only annoying feature is pulling the cup to load food. Which I don't mind now, small inconvenience in my eyes!
pelphrey You can program the eheim for multiple feeding also.I've used the eheim feeder for more then 10 years now going back all the way back to my freshwater days.

I rely on this 24-7. My guess are also programmed to go into feed mode

I run this auto feeder also. My fish can hear when it’s feeding time.
Funny you say that because I am pretty sure mine can hear the feeder also and know what is coming!
Damn that thing is loud. I'll stick with the eheim
It is, I don't mind it. I am not home during the feedings anyway except on the weekends. I'll take control ability over the noise it makes!
