This was meant to feed my system strictly when I was on vacation... I test drove it for a week to ensure its performance was consistent. A month later its still on my system feeding one drum turn three times a day LOL. I love it. Great video. I just finished a "how to update apex firmware" video. Its really a basic video. Neptune helped me out w the steps over the phone.
I also used them over the phone...the good part is I am more setup now for the fusion once it comes off beta testing. I loved your vid on it, i didnt get as into the programming on since you guys did, but its was a quicky to film and shoot=)
Also, for those of us with fish such as anthias that need fed several times a day and who work, this is perfect to add the extra feeding that is not normally possible.
I just set mine up today, it doesn't seem to respond to the program at all. I can manually operate it through my fusion app so I know I am on the right Aqua bus terminal. Any help? I put in my time in for first feeding the. It asked for next feeding in minutes, so I put in 360, when it asks for feelings per day what is the "1-n"? I will probably call then over the next few days but just wondering if you could enlighten me. Cheers! Have a look at my vids if you get a chance trying to up my subscribers. Just about 3 months in to my 270 Gallon reef. Cheers and thanks in advance.
If you just want something that dumps food into the tank then yes. However, this offers so much more. Since it's tied into the apex system you can have this feeder run only when your pumps are off, or if a water level is at a certain point etc. The main issue with my old feeder is it would dump food in and then since my pumps were running it would send it right into the overflow. With this I can shut off my pumps automatically and then dump the food in once the waterlevel is at a certain point. This is great for automation when you're on vacation as you don't come back to high nitrates as the food breaks down in the sump.
Dave Grant That is very true, David, I didn't think about that aspect. I have a Digital Aquatics Controller and I don't think they have come out with this type of system yet. I am retired, so I feed the critters myself and if and when I have to go someplace, my son and daughter in law live next door and they feed them. I make my food, thawing out frozen and then mixing it up in a small, one serving blender and then pour it into the ice cube trays for the mini ice cubes and then plop them into the tank. Also makes it easier on my son when he has to feed them.

Very nice addition, but not sure if i could handle the noise
Juan's Reef Aquariums The noise isnt too bad. Its only loud when it's feeding lol.
Lol, let's you know it's working.

Are the notches in it small enough to accommodate 1mm pellets? (or even a powder coral food?)
Cheers!
so did it clog?
Ours has not clogged, been working great
Man that is loud!
Nice Vid
What a stupid gimmick. This is something is for the geek reefer. The Eheim does the same thing but allot cheaper.
