- I recently bought a onewheel and took it for the first ride on the Beach in Oak Island North Carolina. I'm Brian Inskip and I'm a local Real Estate Agent in Oak Island NC and the Southeastern NC Coast Beach towns. I love making these videos that highlight the beach & coastal lifestyle here on the NC coast.
I documented the whole process from thinking about buying a onewheel, purchasing it from a favorite locally owned business Never Ever Boards and stopping in their awesome skate/surf shop.
In this video we show you unboxing the onewheel and first impressions of my new onewheel pint x! You'll also see the first ride on my new onewheel and first impressions. Note that the first ride involves a onewheel beach ride which is hard to beat!
You'll see the first ride on the beach in Oak Island. We took a ride down Yacht Drive by the Intracoastal Waterway and Veterans Park. We cruised out to the Oak Island Lighthouse on Caswell Beach. We took a spin down across Davis Canal on the Middleton Bridge then headed up Dolphin Drive.
It all ended at the point in Oak Island with an epic Onewheel Beach ride and breathtaking beach sunset!

Beach patrol said it was illegal to ride my swagtron hoverboard out here on oak Island
I was riding my swagtron hoverboard today at 74th street access. Got stopped by beach patrol. He said it's illegal to ride it here and i would have to carry it back. I haven't found one law that states you can't ride them on the beach.
That’s a bummer… In the off season there is no hassles and your swagtron is all good on the beach. #keepriding
@@SurfHomesNC-BrianInskip yea he basically told me just don't let him see me doing it and that he really doesn't care personally
@@whiskeyflyer7091 yeah, like most things… if no one complains or what not… no blood no foul… keeping it to lower key areas helps… but off season the beach is yours for the taking on the hoverboard.
@@SurfHomesNC-BrianInskip I can understand that. It was really crowded today. Low tide is only time I can ride it and it was super awesome. But I will continue to do it in less busy times. Heck I've rode it all over the back streets. Super fun but I would love to try a one wheel
@@whiskeyflyer7091 if you stop in Never Ever Boards and talk to Matt there, they’ll let you test ride different one wheel models and they rent them out as well.
Beach and salt water isn't going anywhere near my ONE WHEEL OR ANYTHING ELECTRIC PERSONALLY... LESS MAINTENANCE ....

I hear that… but riding it on the beach definitely added a whole new level of stoke🤙… I’ll probably say it’s worth it until I have a problem from the salt/sand water🤣
