That was the most annoying and rewarding part. After killing them a few hundred times. You get it. And my god the game was so much easier. I want that weapon to return.
What I really like about LOS Dracula is that how much he really cares and puts faith in his son. Unlike the old Dracula who loved his wife more than his son, Gabriel is willing to sacrifice everything for his son. To be honest, I hated Trevor/Alucard in Mirror of Fate, when he was all full of the shit the Brotherhood fed him, especially how he said Dracula should have just let him die. I understand that he didn't want to be a vampire, but seeing how heartbroken and desparate Dracula was when he found out he had just killed his son, it's really upsetting to hear him say that. I was really glad Alucard mellowed out from his hatred and became a great tactician and a formidable warrior who was able to save his family.
"Then do it. Push...that damn sword...into my heart! Before I change my mind!" = favorite part of this scene. Their expressions are excellent, him shoving himself at the sword, and that music in the background while he says that...oh yes the music...I just love it. This whole scene is great. Mind was blown when I reached it in the game a couple days ago.

I love Lords of Shadow 2 even though it's clearly flawed you would be blind to not see it's shining moments. Reading about how the development for the game transpired puts a bitter taste in my mouth. For this could have risen above being good, would have been damn near a masterpiece in my opinion.

actually i just noticed something. even though alucard set up this plan and they teamed up and all that other father/son stuff....in that scene after the train blew up, Drac went to punch the guy cuz he thought it was a surprise attack, and alucard caught his punch. it should have ended right there but instead alucard punches drac REALLY HARD so he stumbles and THEN DRAWS OUT HIS SWORD!!! maybe alucard still has some pent up aggression towards his father? LMAO

Reviews don't matter as long as the game sells well, which it did. So I'm not sure what's going on, maybe Konami just has no clue what to do with the franchise.

The Crissaegrim is also a weapon found in Symphony of the Night. It is quite literally, the most powerful sword in the game. You basically just hold down your button, and it lashes away 10 times a second.
Axillios Bellator Most defiently an upgrade from his Judgement look. Sure the rough draft (as I call it) look in Mirror of fate looked epic...but yeah..he looks much more sensual on the PS3 and Xbox consoles. He has a 'white wolf' sorta theme to him..no doubt due to the fact he was turned on a full moon haha xD But damn..that statuesque figure! I am so unbelievably mixed on this game. This Story rewrites damn near everything about the castlevania series but I actually prefer this version than the originals.
I like to think of both stories canon in their own sense by: The Original story is being told from the belmonts point of view, as in they're reading the story to you. Whereas Lords Of shadows story, is being read to you from Dracula's Perspective, two sides of the same coin if you will.

I thought LOS2 was alright but I was a bit disappointing with the final battle as I thought it was going to be a proper fight against Satan like at the end of OOT with Link fighting Demon Ganon in a wall of fire but instead it's Dracula fighting Satan possessing Alucard. And when the Sun came up I thought Gabriel was finally getting the true death he always desired but instead he went "Screw this, I'm going home!". The End. And I was like "was that it??"

I rather like this incarnation of Alucard. I think though he could have used a little more development. I mean we never did see why he decided he would stop hating his father and actually join forces with him. It never explains it. In Mirror of Fate, he scoffs at the idea of joining Dracula when offered. He says outright he wanted to die that night when he fought him the first time: Instead, he became a Vampire and was "reborn" as Alucard. Then he goes on to fight him, with his own son, Simon, and says how he was sure Dracula would return. Again, I really like Alucard, but there's just one small hole in the story as to his role. We never did see why he up and changed his mind about Dracula.
While mercury steam may have given up on the franchise, it doesn't really mean that this is the end of this incarnation of both Dracula and Alucard. I mean, I'd hardly call the end of LOS2 and ending. The story isn't over. I hope some other developer takes charge, because this has to be my favorite incarnation of Dracula and Alucard! :D The voice actors fit perfectly too! :D

Sure, Dracula is a vicious killer, but as he says, he's the Apex Predator. He's the guy that keeps the more evil but less powerful entities in check because of their fear of him. And quite honestly, I couldn't have put it better myself: Redemption is *indeed* the only path to peace. David Cox confirmed (via Twitter) that with both Zobek and Satan vanquished, the world can finally begin to recover.
This has me a bit interested, it seems like Dracula is a good guy in this one and I'd like to see it. I loved the castlevania series and honestly kind of miss it, and I'm sure I'll end up regretting trying this game out, but it's still kind of interesting to me.I'm also looking forward to the Bloodstained game, I would have supported the kickstarter if I had money
There is just one thing i don't understand...The plan is to make believe Zobek and Satan that Dracula is dead, but if he was really dead, wouldn't Zobek ( Death ) and Satan ( who lives in Hell ) be aware of it ?
Good point. The way I see it, Dracula's power was too vast even for Zobek or Satan to comprehend. That's why they were hiding from him to begin with. So if Dracula is thought to be dead, probably even Zobek can't tell for sure if it was true or not, because Gabriel is neither a mortal human anymore, nor an ordinary vampire.
I see, so this is a reboot. (yes I have not played this game yet, in the first lord of shadow, I was forced to fight big ass spider, which I cannot do, because it's a big spider, and spider, real or animated, is my fear, I'm too afraid to see my opponent so I gave up the game).

I dunno why this gives negative reviews? I played the 3ds ver of Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate. And i am shocked to see that ign gave them low scores. Its my 1st taste of the series and i kind of like the way they made the story.

Reviews don't matter as long as the game sells well, which it did. So I'm not sure what's going on, maybe Konami just has no clue what to do with the franchise.
Not to mention a good chunk of the fanbase has moved on to support the creator of the classic metroidvanias Koji Igarashi with his new project Bloodstained, which is basically "Not Castlevania". I really wish they would just sell the franchise to someone who cares about it.
Guys there is a Third Castlevania game in the LoS series, Mirror of Fate it is called. i got the 3Ds Version of the game. the Lips dont move so much but, in the Ps3 Version the lips moves. it is the Third Castlevania game i think. and why dont they make a 3rd game in the series come on! i love the Series i even read the Fanfics!

your gonna get your mind blown when you learn the sword he took from Zobek's bodyguard is called MASAMUNE..the name of Sephiroth's sword. And in the DLC he holds his sword the same friggin way in battle stance! xDDD
The Crissaegrim is also a weapon found in Symphony of the Night. It is quite literally, the most powerful sword in the game.
You basically just hold down your button, and it lashes away 10 times a second.

Axillios Bellator Most defiently an upgrade from his Judgement look. Sure the rough draft (as I call it) look in Mirror of fate looked epic...but yeah..he looks much more sensual on the PS3 and Xbox consoles. He has a 'white wolf' sorta theme to him..no doubt due to the fact he was turned on a full moon haha xD

I am so unbelievably mixed on this game. This Story rewrites damn near everything about the castlevania series but I actually prefer this version than the originals.

I like to think of both stories canon in their own sense by: The Original story is being told from the belmonts point of view, as in they're reading the story to you. Whereas Lords Of shadows story, is being read to you from Dracula's Perspective, two sides of the same coin if you will.

I thought LOS2 was alright but I was a bit disappointing with the final battle as I thought it was going to be a proper fight against Satan like at the end of OOT with Link fighting Demon Ganon in a wall of fire but instead it's Dracula fighting Satan possessing Alucard. And when the Sun came up I thought Gabriel was finally getting the true death he always desired but instead he went "Screw this, I'm going home!". The End. And I was like "was that it??"

I rather like this incarnation of Alucard. I think though he could have used a little more development. I mean we never did see why he decided he would stop hating his father and actually join forces with him. It never explains it.
In Mirror of Fate, he scoffs at the idea of joining Dracula when offered. He says outright he wanted to die that night when he fought him the first time: Instead, he became a Vampire and was "reborn" as Alucard. Then he goes on to fight him, with his own son, Simon, and says how he was sure Dracula would return.
Again, I really like Alucard, but there's just one small hole in the story as to his role. We never did see why he up and changed his mind about Dracula.
While mercury steam may have given up on the franchise, it doesn't really mean that this is the end of this incarnation of both Dracula and Alucard. I mean, I'd hardly call the end of LOS2 and ending. The story isn't over.
I hope some other developer takes charge, because this has to be my favorite incarnation of Dracula and Alucard! :D

***** I am sorry to take so long to reply to your comment. But you are right: I read in Alucard's file that's exactly what happened. He realizes that Gabriel isn't the evil monster he believed him. Sure, Dracula is a vicious killer, but as he says, he's the Apex Predator. He's the guy that keeps the more evil but less powerful entities in check because of their fear of him.
And quite honestly, I couldn't have put it better myself: Redemption is *indeed* the only path to peace. David Cox confirmed (via Twitter) that with both Zobek and Satan vanquished, the world can finally begin to recover.
This has me a bit interested, it seems like Dracula is a good guy in this one and I'd like to see it. I loved the castlevania series and honestly kind of miss it, and I'm sure I'll end up regretting trying this game out, but it's still kind of interesting to me.I'm also looking forward to the Bloodstained game, I would have supported the kickstarter if I had money

There is just one thing i don't understand...The plan is to make believe Zobek and Satan that Dracula is dead, but if he was really dead, wouldn't Zobek ( Death ) and Satan ( who lives in Hell ) be aware of it ?
Good point. The way I see it, Dracula's power was too vast even for Zobek or Satan to comprehend. That's why they were hiding from him to begin with. So if Dracula is thought to be dead, probably even Zobek can't tell for sure if it was true or not, because Gabriel is neither a mortal human anymore, nor an ordinary vampire.
