All of our electricity wiring is underground and it has helped a lot. Even the electricity board has to spend very less in annual maintenance of the lines. I think all of India should adapt to underground wiring.

Because in my area when there is power cut due to some fault in after 5 to 6 month interval, the wire mans dig a particular place only to fix the fault , and they fixed in 1 to 2 hours only.

There is a point that you missed. I read sometime ago that in earthquake prone areas its preferred that you don't put utilities like electric cables underground as the risk increases, hence in places like japan they are always overhead. So in Delhi and around they most likely will have to go overhead, i.e. if they plan properly which as you've shown is rarely the case.
