The colony in which I live in, the developer has invested soo much in taking care of wiring that there is rarely a power cut during heavy rainfall during monsoon. All of our electricity wiring is underground and it has helped a lot. Even the electricity board has to spend very less in annual maintenance of the lines. I think all of India should adapt to underground wiring.

Then there are those people too who migrate bcoz there is no demand for their skills and surely there are people who migrate bcoz they get a job elsewhere. Because in my area when there is power cut due to some fault in after 5 to 6 month interval, the wire mans dig a particular place only to fix the fault , and they fixed in 1 to 2 hours only.

There is a point that you missed. I read sometime ago that in earthquake prone areas its preferred that you don't put utilities like electric cables underground as the risk increases, hence in places like japan they are always overhead. So in Delhi and around they most likely will have to go overhead, i.e. if they plan properly which as you've shown is rarely the case.

I'm from Agra and here we have a private electric distributer which regulates connections in the city of Taj. In past 6 years they reduceed the mess of wire in very impressive way.... Now we don't have hanging wires on pole instead all the wiring is undergrad. Cool naah... At first locals were rejecting the privatisation of Electricity Board in Agra. However now they are ok with it and tbh Torent power has delivered. Now you can not steal electricity like before when open phases were hanging in streets and slums people were stealing electricity withing out have any connection.
