  • Long awaited scrap out of the Hammond electric organ.
    Model is J322 and was built in 1969.
    I picked this organ up for free but cost €15 in diesel money.
    It was quick and fun to scrap out. The reason why I wanted to scrap out a Hammond electric organ was for palladium recovery.
    In some models of the Hammond organ there 0g to 8.5g of palladium to recover depending on the model.
    I've learned lots from this scrap out. I will be on the lookout for more organs. Lots of people are giving these away for free. There quick and easy to take apart and if you know where the palladium is..well it's a no brainer .
    I want to thank you for watching. I hope I've earned your subscription.
    If you like what you see. Please subscribe like and share. It helps my channel grow but most of all I really appreciate it. As I write this I have 69 subscribers..that's crazy. I want to thank each and everyone.

    Thanks for the tear down :) I have never done an organ before. Fun to see inside random things. It is why I tear things apart most of the time... it is to see the insides. I get yelled at by crows all the time like you had before that crazy storm ... I tried to scare mine off, but they still yell at me, but from taller trees :)

      yeah I like to hear down things that are a little bit different..yeah I think the crows were warning me about the storm coming...where my shed is.theres chickens, fancy pigeons and parrots.its a mixed lot

    Ok I just jumped from video to video subscribing to these channels. I tore apart one of these not long ago. Does that one have the silvery rods

    • @aidavewaste2576
      @aidavewaste2576  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What you mean by silvery rods...I had 4 what looked like Brass rods but I think its gold plated now.i still have to test it...all the contacts for the keys and foot peddle all tested yo be palladium contracts.. all transistors had gold legs and gold inside and some other stuff was hold plated..I think the silver rods you mention.i was hoping to have them in this model because I think theres supposed to be palladium running down the road but unfortunately not on mine but at least its hold plated

    That leslie part could be sold in it’s own for around 50-100 dollars.

    The rectangular slot on the left side is where the Leslie is located

    Wiki says if it's a tone wheel model, all pre 1973 have 3-10 grams of palladium. 😊

    Nice video, but you really need to get a microphone. We can hear you ok only when you’re standing by the camera or actually holding it. When you were recording from a distance and working over at the organ, even worse when you were turned away from the camera, I couldn’t catch most of what you were saying. It might be ok for folks watching on a computer with amplified speakers who can turn the volume up temporarily. I watch videos on my iPad Pro and have the volume at max, which is fine for almost every other TH-cam video but not this one.

      sorry about that and thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely be ordering a microphone..hope to see you on the next one.

    Not the organ you want for palladium. Atleast as far as I know anyway.
