The conductor is brilliant! This is my 2nd video. The first was “Say Something” which apparently was recorded 7 years ago. Same conductor…he’s a master with these kids. Their training is impeccable.
Beginning sounds like evil spirits coming to attack me at night. It then transitioned into something from the medieval era then the evil spirits came back with their aggressive whispers at the end. In the middle is angel sounds. It honestly takes tremendous work to achieve such a top tier level of sophisticated artistry. But if I were walking in the dark on a deserted road and someone decided to prank me with this choir behind the bushes making the sounds we hear before the 30 second mark I'd freaking die.
This reeeaally unsettled my cat. But I loved it! It must have taken a lot of work to practice this to perfection! I also love that this piece gives so much of the main melody to the male voices instead of centering the soprano voices!
The Stellenbosch University Choir are truly talented!! I do not like this song, however, due to the high standard of talent and a wonderful conductor, I will always like this awesomeness!! Keep up the great work!!
