    Lyrics:
Will you remember me in dreams and in silence?
Who stands amongst the Southern Cross? Who brings hope?
Dreamy images dance amongst the constellations.
In a time of mourning, we all lose power.
Remember me in the morning dew.

I've watched this video dozens of times, and I'm finally ready to comment. Firstly, I've never heard a choral song in Afrikaans, and as a linguist, it's a real treat! I taught in China and we worked with colleagues from all over the world, and some of them spoke Afrikaans, but I never heard them speak it. Watching these students perform is a true joy. The harmonies are pitch-perfect and locked in. I do not hear a note out of place. The breath control is amazing when they crescendo and decrescendo. This is a testament to choral excellence and an honor to culture. It looks like these students really enjoyed performing this piece. Well done!

“Sing, then. Sing, indeed, with shoulders back, and head up so that song might go to the roof and beyond to the sky. Mass on mass of tone, with a hard edge, and rich with quality, every single note a carpet of colour woven from basso profundo, and basso, and baritone, and alto, and tenor, and soprano, and also mezzo, and contralto, singing and singing, until life and all things living become a song.
O, Voice of Man, organ of most lovely might.” - Richard Llewellyn

What an amazing experience listening to this performance. It transports your soul to wide open plains in some desolately beautiful landscape somewhere and the pure harmonic flow of vocals and strings evokes melancholy longings to the unknown. A musical masterpiece.
