    I love the camaraderie and lack of NEED to kill something. I love seeing the friendship and support of one another. Yes, I love seeing successful hunts, but the quality and character of this video is wonderful.

    You never know what is going to be our last hunting trip. You have always said we will run out of health before we run out of money. My dad has always been the person that I have hunted with the most. Last Wednesday, my dad was up camping. He fell and broke his hip. He was in a lot of pain and could not move until the ambulance got there. He ended up have several stokes and a heart attack. I saw him again in the hospital last night. He is not doing well. He can’t move most of his extremities very much and he is having problems with his sight. Every part of his body is affected. He can speak but it is weak. We have seen some progress over the past 2 days, but it is very slow. I pray every day that he will return to normal. My dad has love watching your episodes. It is one of his favorite things.
    Oh, how we take life and our health so casually. So I echo your words of wisdom by saying, make sure you find time to spend it the woods with your friends and family. Make some memories.

    I’ve watched most of Randy’s content over the years and have enjoyed pretty much everything the Randy Newberg team has put out. For season 9, changes have been made….the music selection, the way the storytelling is sequenced, and other editing tricks I can’t name. This hits all the marks and is a super enjoyable viewing experience. Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see what else season 9 brings!

    I watched this on Fresh Tracks + and as always an enjoyable hunt to watch when Scott Jones is involved. Hunting camps with buddies creates all kinds of good memories.
    I remember that yardage of 58 yards even months later. I respect your decision on not taking that shot. 🏹🦌

    Great video and thank you for posting it. I really like that you guys show all that hunting is. Hunting is not always filling the tag. Most of the time we don't fill the tag because it is hard. But if you have hunted enough you would know the frustrations. But I see it more of a treasure because of the wonderful time you get to spend time outdoors. Thank you and keep up the good work guys.

    Randy, I just want to commend you for your high standard of ethics relating to the shots you'd take on animals. Being in the industry, I hear way too many stories from way too many people who've "taken the shot" rather than waiting for the highest percentage shot to present itself, with unfortunate outcomes. I have been criticized for not killing more animals, but I have not had lack of opportunities to do so, I simply haven't taken the risky shots that others might. Thanks for the great example of proper shot ethics.

In the 80’s, Deer seemed to be everywhere you looked..not all of them were 180” bucks, but, there were plenty of Deer around

    Hi Randy. Looking for some 10 x 42 binos. Are you using the Leupold BX-5? If not, what would you recommend? Thanks. Chris

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris, the Binos that are attached to the tripod are Leupold BX-5 Santiam HD 15x56's, the binos in Randy's harness are the Leupold RBX-3000 TBR/W Rangefinding Binoculars (they are a 10x42). I don't think you can get those anymore though. And the spotter is a Leupold SX-5 SANTIAM HD 27-55X80MM ANGLED scope. Everyone in the office uses 10X42's including Randy. Most would agree that is the highest magnification you should go for hand holding. Hope this helps!

      Michael, Thanks for the response. I’m set on 10x42 but trying to decide a good brand to go with in the $1000 range. I also looked at the vortex uhd but know they are more expensive. Any input on a solid pick? Thanks.

    Do you buy land owner tags every year or how do you get a tag here in Nevada every year? I’m a local and can only get a tag ever 7-9 years

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought a landowner pronghorn voucher one year. Other than that, my last choice is always the easiest tag in the state to draw. I average an archery deer tag every other year by making my 5th choice a tag that usually has left overs. Most folks only want to draw one of the premier tags. I'll take any tag, for any species, with any weapon, so I end up with tags in tough areas such as this. I hope you get the tag you want next season.
