"I don't know what the billionaires of the world are doing today, but they have got to be having a shitty day compared to me" Classic Randy Newberg, I love it!

They will eventually outlaw guns like they have in other countries and totally outlaw hunting put you in smart growth zones and slowly kill us through GMO food etc.
Billionaire Ted Turner owns the largest bison herd. He owns more than 100,000 acres of pristine land in Southwest Montana. He's also Nebraska’s largest landowner with nearly 500,000 acres. Ted isn't having any shitty days.
You should've kept the spine also, make bone brought out of the vertebrae, I do it with deer, it's very very high in vitamins! Congratulations on a trophy bison!
As True Hunters, not Killers, that's what we live for: those Close Encounters !! I commend you for not taking that first shot. Thank you for Your vids, history of the hunt, and Your Ethical hunting. Always a Joy to watch and Learn from You. God Bless
We are killers. I don’t sugarcoat it. Our job is to kill it quickly. Thats what I train for all year long, to kill effectively and reduce the animals suffering to as little as possible. Definitely killing is not the part that makes us happy, its the success bred of hard work, days in harsh conditions waiting to prove we are the smarter animal. But make no mistake and no apologies, we are predators at our core, deep in our souls.
@@stonehorn4641 what he meant was that so many city folk say that hunters are cold hearted killers who don’t even care about animals and I hate it we care about animals when I harvest an animal I pay my respects and thank them for their meat
You my friend are hands down my favourite hunting presenter. Amazing to watch, humble and showed the proper and full respect to your quarry. Well done I take my hat off to you
Excellent episode! Starting out with a history lesson, showing the hunt and bringing it back to the history: well done. Thanks ever so much for showing the fall and the injury. We need to know this.
I took a big bull bison many years ago in South Dakota. I have never been that emotional over any animal that I harvested. It was a surreal experience to say the least. The table fare, wow that table fare.. you’ll never look at meat the same once you sink your chompers in a bison steak. Mine was free range as well, and I remember the feeling of standing there and realizing… I’m out in the open with a Giant Bull 50yards away… and I’m holding a stick and string. I also remember bumping a herd and learning that Bison can run all damn day long… haha. Thanks Randy and Crew, brings back fond memories.
This was awesome Randy. I talk with my dad who spent some time in Shilo Montana as a kid on the Bison preserve. The stories are of conservation and management for the most part. That would have been in the late 30's. As my dad says, those were not the good old days, they didn't have running water or insulation in the shack they lived in. Great video and love the history you shared.
Go and watch the last u tube episode of this hunt which shows Randy and the crew getting out. Its a adventure on its own. Thanks again for all you do Randy.
Ive been applying for 22 years in 4 different hunts in Canada and the USA. Still nothing. Im considering buying a guided hunt, but thats not really what I want. I want DIY. Ive done Dall Sheep and Rocky Mountain bighorn, many elk and moose, muley, whitetail, and black and Grizzly. Mountain Goat and Bison are by far at the top of my list for hunts right now. Third is British pheasant shooting, along with Red Deer. That’s planned for next year. The wife gets London Shopping, and I get to hunt.
Great hunting and preservation video. Thank you for presenting it as you did, most people think its just about killing an animal, but it is so much more on every level. It does pull at the heart to know that we almost killed off many animals in North America, but thru perseverance and the iron will to bring them back. I appreciate your demeanor the entire time, always positive.
I love the way you guys put your videos together I've watched this two times gets me so pumped for the upcoming bow season!!! Shoot Straight Great Harvest conservation at its best
Randy, as Bison guides on the Henry mountains, we appreciate you accurately depicting the reality of the challenge of these bison hunts. It’s an even more challenging feat as the snow comes in. Great video and congratulations on an incredible hunt.
After not taking the shot on the first day that proves that you're a great hunter it's a lifetime you waited forever for the tag and to have that kind of integrity proves you're an awesome Hunter, 👍
I remember watching this hunt, after your fall on the shale. The adrenaline definitely loosened up the sore shoulder to draw back your bow. Mahalo and Aloha from the Big Isle "🤙"
