I have a day out at least once a month in north Wales I usually start at Lake Vyrnwy then over the mountain pass to Lake Bala then across to Dolgoch Falls and into Tywyn it’s just stunning no matter what time of year you go
Thanks for showing, I've been in Oz for 40 odd years but that's my home. It didn't make the cut but you actually drove past the driveway of the farm where I grew up !! ... have you gone over the Berwyn from Bala to Llangynog ? ... that's a great ride too
9:44 The weird thing is, the Gogs themselves are the only ones who never say it properly! For some reason, they can't pronounce the letter "L" within a word (not quite as bad as cockneys, but just as weird in their own way!). Ask a Gog (the nickname for a North Waliens!) to say "Bala" and you'll see for yourself!
There are Welsh names on towns just over the border in Shropshire. I wonder if rhe locals murder the pronunciation even though they're from there. Just a thought. Thanks for posting!
Just what I have been looking for cheers guys. I have always had a pin on google maps for Lake vyrnwy and was going to follow the b4393 around it, then take that road to bala. I can't seem to enter those coordinates in though 😕 🤔 Also was this filmed on a drift ghost xl ?
Looking forward to giving this route try tomorrow ... gotta love them roads with Grass down the middle :-)
I hope you get some nice dry weather :)
