Hi everyone! Welcome to episode 20 of my 25 videos of Christmas series. In today's video I show you how to make a cute Christmas gnome using a Dollar Tree cone. These little guys are super easy and are a adorable addition to your Christmas decor. I hope you enjoy this video!
The hat measurements are:
total height 8 1/4 inches
width at brim 3 1/2 inches
top to back of the brim 5 7/8 inches

Hi Danielle! I love your channel and all the great things you do! I don't have facebook or instagram so hope you will get this message. I just want to tell you what a hit your little gnome was to me and my craft day friends. It was getting late and we had not yet started your gnome but they wouldn't leave until we made it! We struggled a bit with the hat pattern but in the end we made it work by watching your video over and over again!! That was the only hard part. The rest was so fun and our little gnome came out adorable! I think the hat really makes it work so well. And the fact that you can glue it was great. We knocked it up in about 20 mins or so ( because we were yakking so much!) and he is finished! And the ideas flowed about what supplies could be used to make him! It was so enjoyable and it did our hearts good to have this day together since we had not seen each other for almost two years! I have made 8 gnomes from other sites, haven’t used the cones yet. I have been using rice- dried bean.or Peas. I usually put 2 or 3 grocery bags at the bottom of the sock and then the above filler, it helps them stand up better. I am glad to come across your channel. They are adorable!!! I am addicted to making these and I like the variety. I had no problem with the hat and thank you for sharing!!! The first 2 I ever made the hats took me forever to get them right, had more zig-zags in them and the wire was a learning curve.

If you dressed him in a coat with a starry pattern with that black hat he looks like a little wizard.
I love that the whole gnome isn’t made from socks! I’d already figured out how to make a few different kinds of hats, but when I saw your video I definitely wanted to see how you made them. I’ve been sewing for over 40 years so I hope I come up with some other ideas to make my gnomes. Yours are beautiful!
Sewing the hats is so much cuter than gluing them but my mom is the sewer and she refused to let me film her sewing them. 🤣😁

Danielle, this is the cutest thing! I am going to have to make some of these, they are too cute and perfect for the holidays. All my grandchildren love crafting and this is about as easy as it gets. Cuteness x4. Just fold your felt and cut them both at once. Pin the hat pattern on the felt so tracing isn't necessary. A tutorial for the hem stitch can
be found on pinterest.
It's helps to see these made. I DO think I'll make templates so I can cut multiples for body, hat and bottom. Make a bunch and the gnomes will be a piece of cake and quick!

Too ADORABLE! I made some dock elves so I need to make a couple of these to keep them company....lol. When glueing the hat instead of seeing just use a colored paint pen or Sharpie and draw in little stich marks in whatever color you want😊
Thank you Beth!💕🤗 You could try a paint pen but it may not work with felt, because of the texture of it. I would try on a scrap piece before your hat to be sure. If it works then that would be awesome!
@@DaniellesDecor ooh, you could try those paints that are like the puffy paint but not puffy...I think they're called slick or something like that. You know the ones in the little bottles with the pointy tip?? Tulip Paints??
