Health insurers make money by refusing to pay for health care. Their bottom line depends on this refusal, and they are ruthless about it. Rather than an investor conference, they should meet with the people who have been denied coverage or have gone bankrupt (because they paid their premiums and have added to their bottom line!). UHC dismissed 1/3 cases, which is 2x the industry average. The average cost to a single person is $8K/YR, and the family premium is $25K/YR; we're still underinsured. You're right, sir. But the history of this one act - and our citizens feelings about it has, been brewing for decades.
    I'll only give one example.
Bernie Sanders was on his way to becoming president when the DNC pulled every trick they had to push Joe Biden to the front of the pack.
Bernie was the only person running who really was all in for #MedicareForAll.
I was researching him and, because I was ill and spent a long time laying in bed, I used my time to spend watching more news than I ever have in my life.
Bernie wasn't covered in the same way as other candidates. He was smeared on all the news stations, when he was covered at all. But wherever he spoke the crowds loved what he had to say (including on Fox).
Bernie has consistently stood for the same things throughout his career. But, although he was, at one point, looking like he could win, his candidacy was undermined from several directions.
As with gun control, our national government seems to ignore it's people's cries for significant changes to our healthcare system.
And you must realize these claims are not like buying a lottery ticket and seeing if you win. People die as results of these decisions.
Assassination is wrong. But denying healthcare to a patient, bringing about their unnecessary suffering and shortening their lives, is considered by some as no less murder than assassination with a gun.

I do not celebrate this murder. But. I understand the reaction.
    Contempt breeds contempt.
The French Revolution did not happen in a vacuum. It didn’t happen because of one silly comment errantly attributed to the young queen. It happened because the royals and wealthy continuously ignored and exploited the powerlessness of the poor. The poor continued to find themselves less and less fortunate, more and more desperate, starving and suffering endlessly.
As one of the most brutal retaliatory actions, the cause of the French Revolution should be studied, and held dearly for the deepest scrutiny as how not to run a country.
This is an issue that will unite red and blue voters like nothing else. It’ll take on a windfall of grievances that will shine a light on the country’s inability to bridge the wealth gap, the corruption of our political system and the infiltration of corporate elites running what is supposed to be the People’s country.
Personally I lost my empathetic bone last month. FAFO just landed on two feet and this I fear is just the beginning of a class war.

I want to chalange one statement you made regarding Anthem anesthesia payments.
In my view there is coresion going on between the doctors and insurance companies.
This is a snipit from Vox that explains.
But this particular fight was not actually about putting the interests of patients against those of rapacious corporations. Anthem’s policy would not have increased costs for their enrollees. Rather, it would have reduced payments for some of the most overpaid physicians in America. And when millionaire doctors beat back cost controls - as they have here - patients pay the price through higher premiums.

Even if the insurance companies go back to denying 50% of the claims as they did before, each days' break will have saved lives and helped thousands who would have otherwise been denied. The fact that the investors just went on with the meeting once they found out he was not coming really shows them for the ghouls they are. This man technically saved lives. Assassin? Where are your crocodile tears for the numerous people that died because of his policy s? Correction sir, legislation? Right. Harry Truman, FDR failed at their attempts because of legislation.

I don't agree with the CEO being shot but at the same time how many claims did he have a hand in denying?

I am not celebrating his death.
However, I am not surprised that people are fed up with the lack of empathy and regards of these CEO'S, for the people who they're supposed to be helping.
People, are not a commodity and they have no rights to be playing games with people's lives, just for them to get more wealthy; while others are suffering, unnecessarily.

All of this world is a can of worms. Or...Pandora's Husband's box- (it wasn't even hers)...and all of the contents need examined.
Nice coat you have on-I'm certain it cost more than I could afford in 6 months! Certain I would receive a response to that comment would be I earned it. Wellll....your privilege of male/white/contacts/good schooling/more contacts/more schooling/ceaseless support provided the means.
If you used your status/position/rank you could have perhaps fought for a level field where no CEO would sell of shares of of necessities such as medical coverage-let alone fight for restrictions of weapons.
Pandora let lose sorrow, disease, vice, violence, greed, madness, old age, and death.....so was it Pandoras husband who opened the box-blaming his wife, just like we blame those stretched to the breaking point?
