      Part of his coat issue is undoubtedly related to his heart prob. (just like his weird nails). What I'm wondering is which products his owner 8s using on him. I know this is probably the 1st or 2nd thing you thought about when evaluating him, but I didn't hear you mention it during the video. You must have a product to make his fur a little better. Which one would you suggest for this little guy?

      Harry succumbed to Feline Stomatosis, which is an extremely nasty condition indeed. It broke my heart to see him suffer and fading away, his vet felt that removing his teeth would help, but I was warned that he had a Level Three Heart Murmur accompanied by Atrial Fibulation and his vet warned me from the outset that it was going to be fifty-fifty.

    Such a sweetheart of a kitty. I can understand this worry; my chihuahua has reverse PDA w/pulmonary hypertension. Her illness makes finding a groomer super difficult because no one wants to take a high risk dog in. So we take care of her as best we can at home. Recently she needed surgery because, like this baby, vets didn't want to fix her because of anesthesia complications. Her being unfixed though lead her to so many other problems, including mammary tumors and a massive hernia. She survived the surgery though, and is doing really well!

Anytime id be extra stressed shed see that and do anything in her pawer to get me to pay attention to her and not what's stressing me out. Shed start tapping me. Meowing etc. I miss her everyday. But I feel the cat supply system brought her back. A stay mama showed up a month after her passing. She got pregnant with a intact male that belongs to one of my neighbors. Kodji wasn't chill, but highly stressed as you could see him breathing heavily. When anxious you can freeze with the fear and curl your body up which is what he was doing by facing away and making himself appear smaller. I worried about the stress on his already weak heart, poor, sweet boy.

    • @co.b.2334
      @co.b.2334 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @cozycountry1 Yes, he was stressed. Few cats in that situation aren't. It's a scary place to be, but he was relatively chill. He wasn't hissing, swatting, or being aggressive. Sadly, there probably wasn't a much better option for him that wouldn't involve stressing him, either emotionally/mentally or physically on his heart.

    It's sad to see such a beautiful coat cut off but it's also necessary. As someone who has long haired dogs with fur that tangles really easily, it is always sad when we have to cut out mats and slightly frustrating because we try to prevent the mats from forming but there's only so much you can do as an owner.

    Digestion takes a huge amount of blood flow; his heart is why he isn't hungry. Cat's also get almost all of their hydration from their food, so with that heart condition he needs to be eating only wet or watered food. Normally at least some dry food is good to help keep their teeth clean (cats and dogs) but I think Koji and his owners can handle regular toothbrushing.

    • @ruralmetalhead
      @ruralmetalhead 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      @@pitchforkSue Not true, but not wrong either. Dry food can actually scrape the plaque off certain teeth, but is has a lower effect on others. It is, however, a myth that wet food causes tooth decay. Either way, most vets recommend a mix of wet and dry food, for variation in the cat's diet if nothing else.
