    Last year I liked using the brads kokanee cut plug behind the 360 packed with tuna and some bloody tuna scent. The purple one caught the most fish.

    I’ve noticed a lot of guides run pro trolls. Instead of short bus. Is there a reason ? Can you troll faster with pro trolls or slower ? Or is it just what you stick to ?

    Well said, when it’s go time you gotta be ready. Nothing worse then frustrating tying something in the middle of a bite going, we need to be in the water lol

    Stiff line between attractor and lure imparts more action to the lure than limp line will is to be thought of too.

    Great information Cody. My question is why are you using the willow type blade compared to the colorado type blade? So you can troll faster?

    Why are your running barbed hooks? Are you allowed to use Barb hooks this year?

    • @DayOneOutdoors
      @DayOneOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are not. This is a brand new lure that has not been on a rod yet. The hooks come barbed. They get pinched when in the boat. Just showing this for how to build the spinners we use.

    Cody here is a good question, as a guide having so much gear for so much fisheries how do you keep everything organized? Or is your house a cluster like mine with gear rods reels line

      I use Plano boxes and those plastic storage bins with the drawers. And then when I go, I grab a couple empty soft sided tackle boxes and stuff the Plano boxes that I need in those. At home, everything is sorted into different fisheries. Twitching jigs, plugs, divers, spinners, lead, etc... Terminal tackle is in Planos as well, for big shit (salmon), low water (steelhead). I've found those flasher foldable storage bags are nice for flashers and triangle flashers. But the idea is to have everything organized at home in their respective places and then grab those itemized Planos and stuff them in soft sided tackle boxes when you go. When you get home make sure you put everything back unless you know you're fishing the same fishery. IDK, that's worked pretty well for me. Also, storing all my fishing rods and reels on a wall of peg board with pegs is a nice way to just grab that rod for what fishery you're fishing... Hope that helps. I got tired of exactly what you mentioned. Taking hours just to round shit up for a different fishery. This way is so nice and you know where everything is.

    thought the river was barbless ?

    • @DayOneOutdoors
      @DayOneOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is. This was a brand new tie up to show how they are built. The hooks come barbed from the manufacturer. The barbs are pinched prior to fishing.
