To celebrate the Vault Project's 6th anniversary we present this unseen footage from Star Wars: 1313 showing Boba Fett in action. Very interesting to see considering the famous E3 demo showed off a version of the game prior to the character switch.
While the Vault is primarily known for its research on Battlefront III (freeradical.fa..., that hasn't stopped it from researching other cancelled titles in the past.

What an absolute shame that this was cancelled. It's like a direct sequel to Bounty Hunter starring Jango Fett.
This looked real sweet. I would of loved to explore the under belly of Coruscant. So much wasted potential. Could you imagine swoop gang speeder chases and such.. Would of been immense.

I can see why it might have been cancelled with the timing of the TV series, and I'm betting the parkour was a bit too over the top to feel star warsy for one of the execs as well. I kinda feel like it looked just a little too much like uncharted than star wars.
@@ZekethePhoenix the game was scrapped in 2013 with Disney's Lucasfilm acquisition & must have been in development far before. It's not related to "The Book of Boba Fett" in any way, except for featuring said bounty hunter as a protagonist of course. :)

I wish they would just make a mandalorian game based loosely on the show but works alot like Mass effect andromeda or even just Jedi Fallen order where you can zip across the Galaxy to different planets finding bounties.

Did anyone check the small detail at 1:42? If you look at the skybox right at the top you'll notice a ceiling and an opening to Coruscant's surface. Basically this entire environment is taking place *deep* below the shiny surface of Coruscant's skyscrapers, a city beneath a city. I mean, I'm aware that was the whole gist of 1313 but damn if it isn't awesome.
I mean to be fair that is how it was in clone wars episodes that took place in coruscant's underworld, but it's definitely a cool detail nonetheless
That's the bottom of a Spaceship, this mission clearly takes place in the upper levels based on the spires you can see

@@qu1v3r for me it felt part Uncharted part Souls... It didn't offer that much variety in the action/platforming setpieces to emulate Prince of Persia. But I might get why the comparison. One thing for sure, it was one hell of a game, gameplay and storywise. Can't wait for the sequel!

Well it was just announced that Amy Hennig is working on a new star wars game, supposed to be a spiritual successor to the also cancelled project ragtag.
The atmosphere and the graphics in the first sequence are beyond awesome... whoever made this game should be allowed to finish and release it.
It’s the old Lucasart games studio. They were dissolved in like 2006 or something when Disney bought them. So the studio doesn’t exsist anymore unfortunately.

personally, i havent played it, but everyone that has actually played it has positive reviews about it lol. so no need to hate, especially when all this demo gave us was an early dev chase scene lol, game coulda been utter garbage, we’ll never know

Mandalorian actually took some stuff from 1313 and implemented it Design wise (if iirc).

The gameplay looks the exact same without a finished environment, which is a travesty considering you’re playing as boba fett and shouldn’t have to do all that parkour crap. It’s the same game with a worse hud but Boba as the playable character which is the only positive. So why lie lmao?

I’m saying that the parkour and gameplay style looks the exact same. Which is not what I would want playing as a Mandalorian. Outlaws has its own issues in several areas, none related to what’s shown in the above video which is why I was saying it’s stupid to call the footage better.
“Even” AC black flag is a better game than a ton of modern games, so that means absolutely nothing. Many older games are better than newer ones and vice versa
I will never stop being salty about this project getting cancelled. As much as I like Jedi Fallen Order, playing as a Jedi has been done to death before. I want to play more characters who only have their wits and blaster by their side to survive the Star Wars world dammit!
Havent played FO exactly because of this reason. I had my fun in Dark Forces and the Force Unleashed as a lightsaber wielder.

It's amazing how much quality has fallen in video games, especially since the early 2010's. I wonder if the financial crisis had anything to do with it: that was a turning point for many industries. Yet some of this seems to live on in Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor.
I want to jump into an alternate dimension where all the cool ass looking games (Project Offset, SW:1313, Human Head's Prey 2, Arkane Studios' Half-life 2: Episode 4 etc.) aren't bloody cancelled...
imho if Cyberpunk 2077 taught us anything, it's that you should never trust a gameplay demo for representation of how a game will turn out. Star Wars 1313 might have ended up about as good as The Order 1886.

Would’ve been cool if Book of Boba Fett had Boba start his criminal empire in the Underbelly of Coruscant. We’d get some amazing visuals in the show and maybe some of the friends/enemies Boba runs into could be fleshed out in a revival of this game.

This is like the fallen order I wanted. From the Jango Fett game that I still play to this day, I've wanted a sequel and this was it.
I hope Lucasfilm Games and Disney revives Star Wars 1313. I want Star Wars 1313 to come out on PS4, PS5 , Xbox One , Xbox Series X , and Nintendo Switch.

For those of you who watch this in the future: while Starfield has its flaws, mods have made it close enough to experiencing 1313. They have a 1313 boba fett mod and another mod that adds star wars weapons. Go to the right environment and you pretty much have 1313. There's even a mod to take prisoners and deliver them as bounties

looks really modern considering i heard about this a decade ago & even saw plans for cancelled fett games in the ps2 era so i would guess this was a pick up continuation of those cancelled games/ideas, the gameplay & level layouts look great. perhaps his feminine walk was the reason it got canned?? 🤔😆

Bro I can't believe I never noticed how similar Fallen Order/Survivor is to the cancelled footage of 1313 until now. They literally took assets from whatever they had from the original build of 1313 and put it right into Fallen Order and Survivor. Which means they have a build of this game just sitting on a computer somewhere and they outright chose to make Fallen Order and the Survivor instead. Now don't get me wrong those games are good but 1313 would've been so much better. 1313 would've scratched that bounty hunter itch and the cancelled Force Unleashed style Darth Maul game would've satisfied every star wars fan's desire for lightsabers to finally be dangerous instead of a glorified baseball bat. Such a shame

When I first heard they were making an Uncharted style SW game, and even had Amy Hennig on Board, I was really looking forward to playing it, now I see just how much potential it had, and the cancellation hurts even more.

Ever since Star Wars Bounty Hunter, I've been ITCHING for a great successor to that game. Grew up playing that game and even now years and years later I still go back to that game. When I heard of this game years ago I never was so excited for a game in my life. Even to this day I'm very disappointed to have seen this get canceled. I hope with the success of the Mandalorian and now the Book of Boba Fett that the potential to seeing a game like this be successful in this current market will be seen and brought to life.

This was the first mistake Disney made followed by Episode 7 and definitely Episode 8 along with Episode 9. Star Wars 1313 should have been released. Movies, not.

We need to again petition for this to be completed. I see no reason why Disney shouldn't/couldn't do something like this. If it's the M rating then tone it down to T but give us this. 1313 would be one hell of a game and has immense potential. Uncharted was breathtaking and a Star Wars game in the same genre would be out of this world. With EA out of the picture as the sole video game developer for Star Wars this opens up so many doorways for Star Wars video games. This and the cancelled Darth Maul game should/need to be completed and released. It would literally make Disney so much money and ultimately that's what they want right? Please tell me I'm not the only one still willing to fight for this seeing this footage.
I'd rather not get the game at all than have the vision they had for it forcefully toned down. Either give me the full creative vision they wanted, which involved an M-rating, or don't give it to me at all. If they try to do it and forcefully tone it down a bunch, it WILL be evident.
LucasArts always had great creativity to innovate in the Star Wars world. I would have loved to see the game being released.

Book of Boba Fett is terrible. Disney clearly isn't interesting in developing the character properly, they just want to make Mando (a less interesting, less competent copy of Boba) look cool.

With the benefit of hindsight, I don't think we missed anything special. This (and the E3 demo) now feel very peak 2012/2013 game design (from that scripted interaction at bar, to the crawl through meats to pad gameplay/hide loading). After slogging through Fallen Order, this style of gameplay has certain lost it charm.
I was about to disagree buuuut I actually see your point. It'd be cool if it took a page from Marvels Spiderman where the chases can circle around the given map rather than be one singular sequence allowing for at least some variance between chases. This game always seemed like it was just applying the Star Wars paint to Uncharted, which Im always down for an action adventure but with a bounty hunter character it definitely needs a more open setting not unlike Oddworld Strangers Wrath or Red dead 2.
I still want to play this game.

it's cool to see unfinished footage. But from what's shown, that mission looks painfully generic and something we all played before previously in myriad of other third person games.

I still day dream about this game to this day... How cool it would've been to have a gritty Star Wars bounty hunter game (like the classic Star Wars Bounty Hunter)... To traverse through the lower layers of Coruscant... Using a vast array of weapons and tactics to take down targets... All while getting to explore the youth of Boba Fett more... The original main character was to be taken out by Boba before playing as Gett himself for the rest of the game if I'm not mistaken, which would have been epic. Hopefully, we can get this game in some shape or form in the future because it's still talked about so much.
And instead we got outlaws 😢
