It would've been cooler to do a completely new character, but even with a Boba Fett story, it would've been fantastic to explore the seedy underworld of Coruscant, a side of the planet little explored in the films or other Star Wars games, still to this day.

Imagine a world where this game was never cancelled and we got a Boba Fett spinoff show taking place in the Clone Wars era rather than The Book of Boba Fett.

man its wild that i get more excited now for unreleased dev builds of star wars than anything disney has put out for about 10 years now.

Honestly, it bugs me whenever I see an extended chase sequence; just shoot the guy in the leg! He won't be able to lead you on a chase if you shoot him in the leg!

Holy fuck, this is impressive on a technical level. True, it doesn't show much in the way of gameplay beyond some mild impressions that it would've been a bit like Force Unleashed, but, my god, the snow, the rain, the sweat, the hologram effect,- my god, the hologram effect is almost film-accurate. The immersion here is off the fucking charts.

This is clearly footage of Fortnite with a TimeSplitters themed mod. I suspect that Free.Radical was/is not working on a new game, but an ex-employee or dedicated fan made these TS assets in UE4/5 & presented the mod as a "proof-of-concept."

It's amazing how much quality has fallen in video games, especially since the early 2010's. I wonder if the financial crisis had anything to do with it: that was a turning point for many industries. Yet some of this seems to live on in Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor.

It's absolutely STUPEFIED me, after how many times Free Radical got burned by the gaming industry, that they didn't just go indie and do a Kickstarter or something. They keep trying to re-enter the gaming industry through the traditional means of being under the throng of some ruthless publisher who will compromise their vision for the millionth time then fucking can the studio before they even deliver the product. Newsflash: you AREN'T obligated to create Triple-A games from the off. Start small, make something actually deliverable. Have it associated with the Timesplitters IP, or don't if you can think of something more marketable. Don't go through a publisher for fucks sake, there's literally no point at this stage. Get comfortable and established, gradually attract in the fresh talent from unis. THEN you can create your dream Timesplitters game replete with the high standards of polish and online requirements. Why why why do they keep making the same mistakes? My only guess is that everyone is so nostalgic for the 2000s gaming era that the old heads don't realise that things have vastly changed since then. When if you wanted your game on a console, you had to have a huge team and and have it go through a ruthless publisher, and the 'smaller' games were things like Flash games and comparatively rudimentary computer games. We have Steam, Kickstarter, itch, and it's easier than ever to get a game on a console. That or they feel that they've got to jump from publisher to publisher to protect the TS IP. Well that's done a fat lot of good so far. Just give us a spiritual successor, we will recognise the names and the talent. Three TS games is plenty honestly and the current climate of the industry may not allow for something other than a remake, so just try and think of a spiritual successor. Because otherwise you get another studio canned, and you end up with making a bizarre product like this, which is going to alienate old fans and look strange and derivative to the newer fans who aren't familiar with the source material. All in all effort to try and appease shitty publisher #694736. It's been decades of this at this point.

I wish our dumbasses stopped harassing George Lucas for more sequels and shitting on the prequel trilogy, because maybe then we would’ve gotten these fucking games. Like 90% of the content Disney pushes is trash and the other 10% is good. Fuck man. WHAT WERE WE THINKING.

one more reason to hate on fortnite. This game killed both TimeSplitters and Unreal Tournament my 2 fav FPS. Restarting the first TS coop mode it just so much fun compare to newer games.
