Quite honestly in Algeria we don't give a s***t about who builds what it's just a big beautiful mosque in the heart of the capital city which we are happy to have despite all troubles, plus the money comes from oil and gaz so it isn't like its robbed from our pockets.
As for corruption and whatsoever we have no real issues with our current governement, and frankly I think India in particular is a far cry from having an ideal gouvernement and relations to give lectures to the rest of the world about them.
Some chinese company just happened to win the bid over this project, while companies from other nationalities or local ones are working on other projects, as long as they respect our terms and fulfil their obligations why should there be any problem? if India came with a better offer they would have won.

As an algerian, i thank the chinese for helping us build this beautiful piece of art, which is attracting tourists and art livers from all over the world. It was an international bid and the chinese won it because of their know how in terms of sophisticated mega infrastructure projects. The mission of this university-mosque is to preach and spread the culture of tolerance and human values.
It seems that India has a problem with China, and this channel is backing its government. No country is perfect, be it Algeria, China or India. And no person is perfect.

As an Algerian, I'm mostly agree with what you said. To me personally the biggest question is that are we really need this? I found it just a waste of money. When first visited China I'm surprised to see small restaurant say Halal owned by Muslims with their Muslim uniforms and always full and almost 90% of customers are not Muslim by they are not racist I saw many students at the universities wearing Hijabs in 1983 you are free to wear what you like no one looks at you with suspicious look. Always hot help when I needed in bus station,train stations at airports and many times invited by group of people eating to join them for the meals and even sometimes they drove me where I stay. Foreigners are respected in China and people like to invite you for a coffee if you are sitting alone can you believe it only in China.
