I just bought a 2023 250 ser. Custom suspension, smart carb, 2024 led light new tires, mousse inserts, fmf pipe, new grips, with only 13 hours for 8k. I didn't want to risk oil injection, and I couldn't afford a 2024 KTM. The Sherco is a grunty low end tractor and I am not disappointed. I have a KTM SXF set up for fast desert and i love that bike as well but it took some money to get it dialed.
I have a 23 300sef. I remove the left side panel and it makes it easier to see if you have it in there right; easy peasy. Remember when all the bikes had air filter access only after removing a couple seat bolts. It really isn’t that big of a deal. If you can get a 24 for a couple thousand off a 25 I wouldn’t hesitate.
For the record, KTM does come with a skid plate, hand guards but not a fan kit, stock. I'd like to try the Sherco SE 300... It's hard to find test areas for Sherco on the West Coast.
Great vid and good info. I'll be really interested to see if the frame is a little more compatible (compliant) with the dual chamber suspension in 2025 as they didnt work together so well in the previous version. You see alot of people revalving the suspension to counter the frame which is a bit sad because it kinda defeats the purpose of AOS fork..
No fuel injection yet 😢🥺😳 I had a 2014 and has a lot of grunt in the lower rpms but the carb was too rich for my liking. And I’m not a good mechanic. Can’t beat KTMs operating simplicity with a TBI, pretty much perfect much of the time.
@@cyclenews No, about 10 months ago Dirt Bike mag did a couple videos about Sherco making a 500 dual sport, was supposed to be released in May I think. I havent heard anything since then. Just thought since you were in recent contact you might have heard some thing.
FYI, the west coast is more than California. Come up to the PNW and ride the wet, root, tight mountain single track this bike was made for
Fair point!
That's what I was thinking every time he said West Coast. lol, all I ride is the wet gnar most of the year.
CA version of trail riding is fire roads, bahaha
@@Erick-di9gmwow you must not know any serious riders in California.

Hard to beat. Enjoy the new ride!
Sherco, new in the Enduro scene since 2003.
You got it! Definitely making more of a push in the US lately with big signs like Cody Webb, Josh Strang, etc.
@bingoberra18 those first gen Bultaco Sherco four strokes look like an absolute nightmare to ride. Big and heavy. But, Jarvis didn't seem to mind.

Well fuel injection sucks basically. I'm glad some people can't jet carbs cuz I certainly can and it gives me a great advantage.
Hope there electrical is more reliable than betas
😊😊😊😊😊
Vive la Sherco ! 🥐🇫🇷🪗😂
The dreams bike
That’s gotta be the biggest air filter I’ve ever seen in a dirtbike, nice!
More air, more power!
@11:57
And look at that air filter access. I might sell the 21' just for that feature alone.
Pretty cool right?!
I am considering a 24 model at a good price is the airbox really that bad?
Did they happen to talk about the 500 dual sport that was supposed to be out by now?
They had the SEF 500, is that the one you're talking about?

Which felt more powerful between the 300 2 stroke and 300 4 stroke
The 300 two stroke was probably more aggressive, the 300 4t was very smooth and easy to ride
@@cyclenews which was faster/pulled harder at peak
@@da5863bro a 300 2t is going to out pull and be far faster than the same cc 4t
Haha need a 450 to keep up with a 2 stroke, they make over 50hp atw stock
Love that two stroke sound.
Cant beat it!
I really want the 500
Its a beast!
No fuel injection
No self mixing
What a shame, would be the perfect bike otherwise
Very KTM looking
Insulting
