You guys are pretty damn great at showing the real thing....felt like I was there. I appreciated your knowledge of the animal, land, and love it. Kindred spirit with me there. What you do is truly a lifestyle that takes much work to learn, gear, research of locations, understanding the animal hunted, learning terrain, physically being able to enact all of that out and be safe.....Holy cow. Doing this with a bow and arrow is another level. Clearly you are experts at what you do. What a privilege to see and witness. Just incredibe. Could I kindly ask that you honor taking the life of such a beautiful creature who lived a long strong life. Just to acknowledge the creature before just counting the years for age? I know it's the circle of life but it sure would be great to show the world the importance of honoring with gratitude the life given for us to thrive. It's such a grande creature and would be a great value and ethic for many others and younger generations to take up from yourselves. Maybe it will sustain the populations? An Indigenous woman in British Columbia. Misey Cho ("Thank You" in Carrier).
Ahhhhhh, that would be really a fantastic thing to show the world. I know it's not to popular to do but I hope it will help us all live this way longer.....I admire it and wish to learn more from you so that I too can become a good provider for my family.
Thanks for watching! You do know this video plus more great hunts are part of a 2-hour video I have available correct? huntinontherock.wixsite.com/hotr/macmillan-monsters
I guided in that are in the 80,s. we did horse back hunts and river and lake hunts. Alot of moose also and some nice Rams. It was MacMillan River outfitters back then. Alot of great memories.
Great hunts ...WOW. One question. Did you forget your hat on that broken branch on the last hunt? I noticed it on the branch. hehehe. Cheers from Ontario. A friend of Lenard Perry`s.
Shot to far back, idk but the past 30 ish videos have been the same arrows way to far back i dont get it... the animals are not running. am I wrong for thinking this? just drives me nuts

Hi Bruce, Yukon, and Alaska have different rules, I can take a guess at your questions but to be honest, I am not 100% sure the answer at least to ya first one but as for the size limit in the Yukon, there is none. I am from Newfoundland Canada I only guide in the Yukon in the fall. I hunt/guide in Newfoundland as well, I have hunting videos here on my channel of Newfoundland as well. Thanks for watching!
Hi Steve, this is in the Yukon, I think the main reason why they have such great moose there is the Yukon is not overhunted. That goes a long way when i place is managed properly
To the original comment. I have been to 37 countries and enjoy my hunts. One has to remember that moose in Newfoundland were introduced in 1904 (from a second introduction attempt first in 1878) in Newfoundland from the New Brunswick eastern moose population. It has been a true success story for Newfoundlanders with huge population densities of moose per square kilometer. The eastern Moose will not have the typical 65 plus or even 70 inch spread on the rack . However a 54 inch spread with 30 points is a fine rack on any mantle as well and something to be proud of. My friend achieved this success. Mine was 51 inch spread with 27 points. Whether one measures by width or points or both it is all about a enjoyable hunt with some potential success. Your comments about "Newfies" are clearly both small minded and petty.
@@CPM_1975 Obviously not a Canadian, go fuk yerself. You would know being called a newfie is endearing, you fool. And obviously you have a small dick to visit 39 countries to kill everything that walks. Trophy hunting loser.

I think that the biggest moose are in Syberia. Also I think that it would be a good idea to wear black clothing instead of camo. Would look more like a moose specially when you are soaked in moose urine.
lol I'm not sure where in the video you are talking about but naturally, when making a stalk I'm more concerned about the moose not hearing me than I am about viewers hearing me. Thanks for watching
WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF SHOOTING SUCH A MAJESTIC ANIMAL AS A MOOSE OR A BEAR , WHY NOT JUST SHOOT A HORSE OR A DOG ? ESPECIALLY WITH ARROWS. THAT IS SADISTIC. THEY ARE IN PAIN JUST LIKE YOU WOULD BE. NO SPORT IN THAT AT ALL. DEER I CAN UNDERSTAND, AND THEN ONLY WITH A GUN. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF THEM.
With how much spray you need it must be true that hunters before the invention of scent killer never got any animals. SMH you sure your a hunter and not just some money bag city boy?
Thanks for watching, again if you can provide me the time marker you are referring to that would be great but I assume you are talking about the moose urine I was spraying on me and the client, lol I don;t think i that qualifies me as a "money bag city boy" lol.
lol it's 6 miles or more Cole but not by foot, if you can provide me the time marker of where i said that, I think i was meaning a 6-mile boat ride. Thanks for watching
But why ? I beautiful creature, grazing peacefully, doing no harm ..... and a bunch of arse holes kill them. What is next on your bucket list, baby seal clubbing ?
Well another great video. The last shot there was right in the heart. A 31 pointer. Awesome.

What kind of management do they have in Alaska to maintain good genetics being passed down?
Hi Steve, this is in the Yukon, I think the main reason why they have such great moose there is the Yukon is not overhunted. That goes a long way when i place is managed properly
why does almost no one want to have the head mounted? why only the skull?
Sam, the head is mounted. we skin the head and bring the skin out of the forest seperate. Its all prepared and mounted after. Thanks for watching
@@HOTRhuntinontherock ahhh thank u- about how much does it cost to have mounted?

Newfies are the only ones on the planet that gauge a moose on points lol. Points mean nothing on a moose newf.
Thanks for watching, to this "newf" points mean a lot.
