Congrats on the moose! I feel like I watched more commercials than I did actually hunting, for a 22 minute video that was ridiculous... Hats off to the videographer.
Now there's a guy who buys every experience he's had. Maybe he's a nice guy, but his inexperience comes through in the way he handles his butcher knife, the way he walks through brown bear country with his rifle strapped to his pack, the way he points his rifle at his partner's back, and the way he daintily scratches away at the hide while skinning a moose.
Great video. Congratulations on your Moose. How many trips did it take to pack him out of there? I imagine that head and antlers was 200 or better? Thanks for sharing.
Its a trick veteran hunters use often on certain animals during the rut. This tactic is used most commonly with elk. I've put an arrow through the boiler room of multiple elk and turned them right around with a few cow calls. Crazy but it works 1/2 the time. A lot of experienced elk guides will hammer cow calls after a shot in attempt to make for a shorter track. Obviously only works if the animal is super rutted up. This can be done with moose too.
@@GameOfInchesTV You are exactly right and it does happen quite a bit with moose. Even after they are running from being shot, they will many times stop with a call.
